He can’t help but beam at the sight of the little one gripping his leg. He leans down to pick her up. “Hey there, little one!”

Alas giggled as she hugged him with no real intention of letting go anytime soon, “Missed you!” the girl chirped, so much happier now that the Devil King was home.

I’ve accepted that I am completely terrible at maintaining any sort of active schedule to be on this blog.

Okay but imagine every time someone asks Alas who her dad is, she just says something along the lines of ‘daddy is satan!’

Like she’s not wrong, Maou’s real name is Satan Jacob and he is the demon king after all. 

But then people start questioning why she calls Maou satan and how a toddler even knows the word, so Maou has to repeatedly try and get her to not say that.

And Alas doesn’t really get why it’s a problem.

Despite the park really not being the best place to take a nap at, Alas is pretty ready to just fall asleep in the middle of it regardless.

The girl let out a few giggles when Laleena started sniffing her, not sure why she was doing it, but it was funny to her nonetheless, “best hero!” she agreed with a nod of the head, because, in her mind, Alas’ adopted mother was in fact the best hero. Though it didn’t cross her mind that the devil Laleena was thinking may be different than the one she called her father.

“Uh...yes? Mm’be?”she said to the final question. I mean, they had to know where she was, right?

you could have heard a pin drop in the intervening moments between Laleena hearing that, and her response. Most overlords would be overcome with joy or panic after hearing that the fallen angel’s daughter was in their arms. Laleena looked incredibly worried about this, and began to experimentally sniff the child, trying to find evil energy on her. it would be there, even if she was a pure child, if her father was really the devil

“Seems the horned one is pretty good at getting around… your mom’s a hero? do they know where you are?”

“Parents?” at that mention, the childs smile grew as wide as could be, clearly delighted to even be able to talk about them. “Satan is my papa!” Alas exclaimed, “An my mama is the hero!”

“…Interesting name, but then again, My forgemaster’s names are giblet and ricket” She mutters nonchalantly, holding the child at face level,”So, kiddo… who are your parents?” She asks, figuring the kid might be worth something if her parents were important

Alas blinked up at her when she was picked up, enchant? Like magic? Did this woman use magic like her parents and their friends? Maybe she was friends with her papa!

“Alas Ramus!” she announced with childish pride. 

Laleena looks around, noticing that the child somehow made it into her room of ice sculptures,”Yes. this room is meant to be cold.  i haven’t given these away, so i won’t enchant them. but onto more important matters” She rattles off, removing her helmet and picking up the child

“Who are you?”

“Papa! Papa!” Alas cheered, sprinting about on her small legs to hug Maou’s leg in glee. Someone certainly missed their father.

What’s this? The child had woken up and her parents weren’t anywhere to be seen! Tears had started to form.

“Papa...? Mama?”
