Y'know what should've been an option? While at Kaer Morhen, after completing the Ugly Baby quest but before moving away from the area and on to the next main quest, as a reward we should've been able to try and convince Lambert and Eskel to come with Geralt to finish some of the other side quests around the area

Drag Lambert up to the 'greenhouse' to grow and get spectacularly blitzed on The Good Kush™️ (and Lambert has to begrudgingly admit that he's not actually having a terrible time with Geralt, either). Have Eskel volunteer to go with Geralt on both of the scavenger hunts so they can revist the crumbling bastion and watchtowers, and they can reminisce about being trained together and tell silly and sad stories of their younger years. Bring both of them to the old silver mine and forge, and down the river to find Berengar's blade, then work on crafting it with Vesemir. Have a fishing expedition out on the lake with all four of them where they each try to out-do the others.... like, dude.. Hire me in the writers room.
