I've been getting back into reading in an effort to stay away from the social media doom scroll, and my first pick from my bookshelf was a book I got a long time ago called Dog Days. It's a romance book about a woman with a fear of dogs that lives in a dog crazy town, trying to save her failing cafe during a dog centric event while trying to get with the hot vet. She ends up coming across a stray dog that she fosters in the hopes of getting over her fear, and in a freak accident the two of them swap bodies. The rest of the story focuses on the two of them growing and bonding, while trying to achieve their own goals. It's very sweet, and it's a story that I hold very near and dear to my heart. So after reading the book (twice), I wanted to make some fanart!

Been listening to the Shadow the Hedgehog Menu Music and during one of my listens the idea for this gal popped into my head. Some thinking later, she turned into a Shadow Gijinka (or Goth Sunset Shimmer if you prefer).

I like how she turned out though. ^_^

Simple drawing of an Eevee doing a stretch I did on my send-off stream as a sort of request from Insta. I wanted to try using different brushes to ink and see how I felt about them.

I've been battling burnout lately, even though my brain is bursting with ideas and projects to start I just can't find the energy to lift a finger to start it. So It's a miracle I got this done at all.

I think I'm gonna fiddle with more brushes and try and find something I like, because using the Real G-Pen (or anything adjacent to it) compels me to try and make everything perfect. Which makes me lock up and I don't get anything done. So I want to try and find a nice balance so I don't struggle with perfection.

Also yeah I quit Twitch streaming! I've stuck with it for a couple years, but I haven't really felt satisfied with it for a while. So I decided to stop and focus on other stuff that I like working on. It was a fun ride and I'm glad that I tried it and stuck with it for as long as I did. Maybe I'll return to it one day, but not for a good long while I think.

Hey, remember that Rouge/Morrigan fusion I drew? Well I got motivated to make a Blaze/Felicia fusion to go with her, and made some concept sketches for it. Unfortunately all the motivation dried up for it, so I just want to share the most put together element I had of the ideas. Might come back to this one day, we'll see.

I KNOW I’M A LITTLE LATE TO ACTUALLY POSTING ABOUT THIS BUT SEAM NATION WE WON SO HARD WITH THIS

There’s a lot here that’s really telling about them too!! Abandonment seems to be a reoccurring theme with Seam’s character. Seam was abandoned by the lightners who owned them in the light world, and this has obviously affected them — Toby saying that Seam “wouldn’t believe” that anyone would want a plush of them, their magic being described as “dusty” like an item that hasn’t been touched in a long time, and we already know how they had to imprison Jevil, their closest companion.

I think a lot of their dialogue and behaviors show how this has impacted them

They’ve been collecting items for years, but they don’t get attached to any of them.

They believe that in their discarded state, that there’s no place for them in the world. Especially considering they lost their companionship with both lightners and the one darkner they formed a bond with.

When saying goodbye, they anticipate never seeing you again.

They don’t even bother to see you off. There’s a lot of factors here you could consider as to why they don’t want to, including their nihilism, but I also think a part of it could be because they don’t think anyone would actually care if they showed up or not. Maybe they don’t want to feel too attached to us when we “inevitably” (in their eyes) abandon them. Or maybe there’s no reason to be too sentimental when you think the end of the world is coming

Regardless, they seem to have a lot of issues when it comes to forming attatchments

Took me way too long to get this uploaded, I went through a mental slump and dragged my feet finishing the drawing and I struggled to get the bios typed up because I didn't know what to say for some of them. Anyways, let's get into it.

The A-B groups focus on Dusty and the characters from his world. They're all a part of a comic project that I've had rattling around in my head since I was young.

In essence it follows Dusty as he uses his powers to protect the city from evil, as well as helping the citizens with whatever they have going on. Think Sonic the Hedgehog meets Spider-Man meets Steven Universe.

and now the bios (left to right):

Dusty (15): A teen that lives with his mother Michelle in Somewhere City. He acts as the protector of the city and saves it from disaster whenever the need arises. When he's not saving the day, he lives like an ordinary teen. He attends high school and is part of the cheer squad, in his free time he spends it reading his favorite comic, The Adventures of the Daring Dinah Dynamo, or listening to his favorite music. Optimistic and headstrong, he's an outgoing and friendly guy who is always willing to put the needs of others before his own, sometimes to his detriment.

After being exposed to a strange chemical, he gained above average strength, speed, agility, stamina, flexibility, and durability. His arms are elastic, and he can throw punches and grab things at a distance.

Darcy (14): A girl from Somewhere City who is Dusty’s best friend and classmate. She's the first person Dusty befriended after he moved. Always full of energy, she's always constantly on the move and has a hard time sitting still. She's very outspoken and says whatever is on her mind, which more often than not gets her into trouble. She's incredibly loyal and will stand by her friends no matter what.

Michelle (36): A woman from the city of Marklynn. She moves to Somewhere City with her son Dusty for a fresh start. She’s a woman with a rough edge that tries her best to be a kind and nurturing mother, but her short temper sometimes gets in the way. She’s an expert mechanic and is very capable at fixing things.

Cliff (48): A man from Somewhere City. He’s a single dad that has two kids, Connor and Darcy. He and his wife split when the kids were young. Since then, he’s done his hardest to ensure that they have a good life. He is a fount of wisdom that many people rely on, and he has a surplus of patience. He does have his limits however.

Jackie (33): The mayor of Somewhere City. She's a highly motivated and well composed individual who takes her job very seriously. Sometimes a little too seriously, to the point where she forgets to take breaks. Fortunately for her she has the support of her friends to keep her from working too hard, Cliff being one of them. The two have been friends since they were kids and have a sibling-esque relationship.

Bolt (N/A): A highly advanced robot created by Darius Mason, a brilliant roboticist and engineer, and one of Dusty’s friends. He was built as part of an experiment to create a fully autonomous robot that could think and feel like a normal person. Bolt himself is a kind and inquisitive individual with a passion for helping others. He's a bit naive when it comes to his perception of the world, always trying to see the best in people.

Bolt was built to be nearly invulnerable and was later upgraded with super strength and the capability of flight. Along with these features, he was given the ability to unleash energy blasts from his palms.

Aura (15): An alien from the far reaches of outer space. They crashed in the mountains near where Dusty and his friends happened to be camping. She can understand what Dusty and friends say, but can’t communicate with them. Her body contains an inordinate amount of energy unique to their race, and she can float and survive in the vacuum of space. They’re a kind and peaceful individual, and aren't afraid to face danger to help her friends.

Another Dusty lineup! This one is a little different. For each lineup, I compile characters into the arcs in the story that they appear in. In addition to these lineups, I'm also going to make lineups that feature variants of the lead character of that world whether they're from an alt timeline or another universe. (I'm gonna have to make an explainer for how it all works.)

Alright, here they are (left to right):

Weather Dusty: A variant of Dusty from an alternate dimension. Instead of his stretchy arms, he has the ability to harness various weather phenomena such as lightning and the wind. He can change his shape to that of a cloud and fly, even with people riding on him.

Bunny Dusty: A variant of Dusty from an alternate dimension. In this timeline, Dusty’s world is populated with anthropomorphic animals. His powerset is the same as his prime counterpart, he's just a bunny here.

Weather Bunny Dusty: A variant of Dusty from an alternate dimension. The anthropomorphic bunny version of Dusty with his weather based power set.

Weather Bunny Dusty (Young): (Also size accurate) A variant of Dusty from another universe. He hails from Sparks’ universe, and is one of his friends. His power set is the same as the other weather variants.

Dusti: A variant of Dusty from an alternate dimension. In this timeline, everyone's genders from the prime dimension are flipped. Aside from this difference, nothing else has really changed.

OG Dusty: A variant of Dusty from an alternate dimension. This Dusty is from a vastly different timeline, with many differences in the people and order of events. He has similar powers to his prime counterpart, he just has a different form.

Supernova Dusty: A super powerful form that Dusty takes on after harnessing the power of the stars. He's nearly invulnerable and capable of surviving in the vacuum of space. He has the ability to fly and can use his star power to fire powerful beams from his hands.

I sketched Dusty as a rabbit in my notebook at work, and the design really grew on me. I decided to redraw it in CSP and liked how it turned out. He's going to be a multiverse variant for sure, but how I'm gonna implement him is another story.

Also forgot to add his tail. Urgh.

been a while since i’ve shared anything here! or been here at all. well, this is Flower Bud! a kind of prediction for deltarune chapter 3? but more of a fan character

So I finally, FINALLY, finished this freaking piece for Mermay. I uhhh, definitely went through some stuff working on this (very trust the process), but it's done. Honestly, I'm mixed on the piece, there's stuff I love and stuff I hate. Either way, glad it's over and I can move on. Also introducing my mersona! He swims around the PNW and hangs out with Orcas (and the wharf cats that live in the towns he visits). He tends to keep away from humans, he's still curious though and observes from a distance. However, in one town, the citizens know about his visits, so they kinda treat him like a stray cat and leave him trinkets and food for when he visits. He takes all the stuff he gets shows them all to his friends... which is just the other ocean life because he lives alone. (Might tweak his design a little).

So I've been working on the TOME RPG AU and decided to make some quick character doodles of the Universe Travelers guild. (Of course these were supposed to be quick, but it took me three weeks to make these...)

Anyways, this is the guild that Dusty and some of friends made. The core group is these four, and there are some other friends that sometimes join them and rotate in and out of the party from time to time. We'll get into them later, but for now we're just gonna focus on these four.

Mightydust aka Dusty - A fourteen year old boy that lives with his mom, his dad having passed away a while ago. He's an optimistic, headstrong, and kindhearted kid, whose enthusiasm for the game (and life in general) is a beacon for the team. He was the first to join the guild after it was formed by Chris and Sara. (This old post is still pretty accurate, with a few tweaks)

Sparks aka Chris - A twenty-eight year old man and one of the founding members of the Universe Travelers guild. He's an unassuming quiet guy irl, and kind of a loner. Online, however, his true colors show, being a kind, thoughtful individual with a sarcastic edge. He's kind of the older brother to Dusty and Tenchi (another younger player), and often times gives them advice and lends an ear for when they need it. Fun Fact: Sparks is Chris' second character, the first being a technical weaonary human named The Universe Traveler.

UnivrsTrvlr aka Sara - A twenty-six year old woman and the other founding member of the Universe Travelers guild. One of Chris' only irl friends, she's an extrovert with the patience of a saint. The two of them have been friends for a long time (since they were young teens), and created their characters for the game together. She took the UnivrsTrvlr name when Chris made Sparks and he left his old character so no one would use it.

ActionBolt aka Mason - A fourteen year old boy that is an irl friend of Dusty's. He's an astute kid with a positive attitude that's always willing to help. He goes to a private school for gifted kids, and he and Dusty met when both their schools held a joint event as a fundraiser. The two bonded over TOME, and eventually Mason made Bolt and joined the guild.

There we have it! Happy to revisit TOME!Dusty and Bolt. I haven't drawn him in forever. Sara is a character that I haven't drawn at all, and I'm kinda taking this as an experiment to see what I want to do with her actual design going forward.

Gonna try and do the other characters (quicker next time, hehe) of the other guild soon. Also shout out to @d-buggers-org for the emblems from the game. Hope you don't mind I borrow them for these.

so, meet the most recent OC of mine, Leviathan. he represents the sin of Envy, and despite being a large slimy eel dragon, he’s my little goober. i wasn’t going to share him until i had completed every sin, but i love him too much.
