Silly thing i wrote about this drawing. Ill yap about the writing style in the tags.

WINDSWEPT ALLEY: the midnight wind shoots through me, rattling the lids on near full bins and carrying old rubbish into drain divvots. It provides a relieving cool against the aching cheeks of the RCM lieutenant perched on a doorstep on my walls. He thinks, pulling his collar up to protect his neck from the harsh wind.

"I haven't smiled this long without pause in years."

•My face feels like an un-oiled machine.

•I need to stop i'm going to dislocate my jaw.

JEANS CHEAP WIG: The lieutenant purses his lips to hold from smiling. The cheap fibres of my hair brush against his cheekbones and tuck behind reddening ears.

HARRIER DU BOIS: "You should go blonde Kim."

WINDSWEPT ALLEY: A bark of laughter echoes off the hard bricks of my wall. Kim clasps a fist to his mouth, ashamed of the outburst but unable to stop himself from grinning.

THICK BAR AIR: Full of love and laughter, I seep under the doorway and into the air of the street. The cold night will not freeze its inhabitants as long as I remain. The officers leaving me remain high and full, warm and unable to stop giggling like children.

"I think that would make me look bald, im already thinning."

•I've considered dying my hair black to cover greying hairs, but that seems vain and unnecessary. Theres nothing wrong with getting old. It means I havent died young.

HARRIER DU BOIS: "I'll let you keep the wig then, im sure Jean wont miss it."

THICK BAR AIR: The strike of a match and the smell of chestnets swirl with the comforting chuckles.

CHESTNUT ASTRA: I am passed lovingly between the pair. With each drag I am filled with words from mouths that aren't ready to talk, and don't need to.

HARRIER DU BOIS: "Kim?"

"Yes?"

HARRIER DU BOIS: "Thank you for being my friend."

CHESTNUT ASTRA: My final drag is passed to scarred fingers and chipped nails. Lifted to crooked smiling lips.

"Thank you, Harry."

•Its not scary, its not heavy, it doesnt take effort, I'm not sacrificing anything. I love you too.
