I know we all started to ship Hornet with that bell girl but hum... there is this tall cartographer that saved my ass from the ant and I think she can get a thank you kiss from Hornet

I love love love love Shakra. She is absolutely perfect, I have met her a total of two times and she has already stolen my heart.
The fact that you can track her by listening her singing, just like with Cornifer, but her voice is clear and majestic, a direct opposite to Cornifer soft humming.
Argh, I love our cartographers.

The bigger an animal’s eyes are in relation to the rest of its body, the squeakier its voice is in my head. Mayflies’ voice squeakiness is off the charts.

Blacksmithing - First Knife
Well, technically my second; my first was a spring-steel practice my smithing mentor taught me on. Since it delaminated (a very common issue with the springsteel we used and a risk in metal forging in general) before I could finish it, though, I struggle to see it as my first finished project.
This one was buried with my step-dad. I had intended to put a handle on it, but he liked it exactly the way it was-- wanted to use it for a hunting knife for doing skinning work, the simple make was convenient both for his rugged hands to have a good grip even when slippery, and meant very easy cleaning & sanitization.
Looking forward to firing up my coal forge again and getting some things hammered out this fall/winter... I want to be a blade smith so bad. I know I can't do it full time (body will protest, oh boy) but I can make a couple here and there as time and my health allows.
