This is a very rushed (kinda ugly) but funny rough draft of an animation I'm working on. I think WH would be too overpowered if the characters could swear 😭
Did you know...that this was supposed to be an recreation animation of my Welcome Home Spooky Month Au since last year of Frank and Eddie?😅 I gave up on it since I was getting pretty busy so I'll just show what I just finished last year, I know the audio ain't lined up right since I gave up 😭💀
Some masc Julie concepts. The third one could use some work. As many of us agree that Julie is gender fluid, it would make some sense that she would have some more masculine looks. Though, gender fluidity is a difficult concept to portray properly in many cases due to its, well, fluidity. It’s really up to each individual to decide what gender and identity means to them.
BUT! I am here to discuss fashion on a fictional puppet character (ignoring 70s societal gender norms).
I wanted to see what he would look like with shorter hair, but I also figure if Julie is a puppet then they could, perhaps, have changeable hair. (I’m treating all the WH cast like my dolls here ha!). As it is, I don’t think Julie’s fashion tastes would change from big hair, pink/bright colors (bright colors are everywhere anyway), and flowers.
And! And! I find the thought that Julie (perhaps still named Julie when masc?) shows up as a guy and absolutely rizzes the hell out of everyone (as if she didn’t already) again in an instant! He’s the same in all things maybe, but in character design it’s the silhouette that often sets the vibe of the character. Shape language and all that, which can change how he would be perceived on a superficial level, k’now? That dissonance (is there a better word?) can take people off guard when applied to a character you’re already used to seeing.
I headcanon that Eddie's postal hat, which he wears today, was originally his mom's hat that she gave him before he moved away from their hometown.
Btw, this is my headcanon OC of Eddie's mother when she was younger! Her name is Elizabeth Dear (also known as Beth), and she is one strong, dedicated, and loving wife, mother, and mail carrier 💪😔
I don’t draw Poppy enough, so I decided to draw this as I see her more as a mother figure. She’s got that mom friend override to help others even when she’s afraid haha!
