I voted "I'm conflicted for reasons". I am not actually conflicted, none of the other options apply to me. I have a very open view of DRV3's narrative atm - which may still change, I think I'm going to have to replay it, again. but for now, both "Kokichi had a special talent/external memory" and "Kokichi wasn't special/knew nothing more than the others" ring equally true to me
basically, I think you could insert either of those explanations into a cohesive view of the events internal to DRV3's narrative and not break it because Kodaka and the dev team left so many things highly interpret-able by purposely casting doubt on them, ambiguous or blank. it's neat, my favorite thing about the game
if we were talking about my personal preference for an explanation. hmmmmm. I lean more towards the something-is-off-here explanations, because you can get creative with them and that's fun
*Note: this is not a comment about 'validity', it's about whether you personally believe there is such a thing that's been masked ('narrative construction/bias/framing' is a can of worms to address, so this is more about impressions of the idea, if that makes sense)
**If you answered this, go ahead and plug an AU for me!
I'll tag asks with #dr poll asks and #drv3

chapter 6 rewatch complete. I was really hoping (haha) I'd like it, but unfortunately, after a great start, my enjoyment swiftly gave way to annoyance at the "fiction twist" point
at least it had a fun first half and I didn't thoroughly hate it like last time. oh well

[Note: I have to emphasise 'or similar' because I'm not sure if what happened can even be described as a tulpa, or at least I'm somewhat aware of some controversy about that]
