For the story you wanted;

Once upon a time, there was a princess who lived in a castle. The castle was always stuffy and full, filled with noblemen and women, dukes and dames, and other rich commoners. The only places where she felt safe was her room and the garden.

The advisor to the king had nefarious intentions however. He aimed to kill the family line and steal the throne! He took to poisoning the king through his wine first.

The king was always a sour chap. Gruff, mean, and uncompromising, he ruled the kingdom with an iron fist. No one disturbed his rule however, as he was also fair and benevolent. He had been trying to suit the princess with a suitor for a very long time, however none of the princes from the nearby kingdoms had a sensible chemistry with her.

The princess, observant as ever, noticed the advisor bring a vial of poison into the dining hall, however before she could react, she was grabbed, and shoved into a small broom closet. It was empty, as the broom was currently in use - in blocking the door so she couldn't escape.

Hours passed, and suddenly she heard the news through the walls: The king, her father, was dead. With a strength like never before, she escaped her confinements and ran away.

With her father gone, she could finally leave the closet.
