5. WHAT PAINTINGS AND/OR POSTERS ARE ON THEIR WALLS? :  nothing that pansy herself has chosen ! she lives at blackwood house, one of a few properties that the parkinson family still own and one of the ones that her father most dictates - it was the married home of her paternal grandparents, and it's where heath grew up. the old oil paintings that adorn the walls are permanently fixed there and depict everything from a bowl of fruit - all of a magical sort, none that a muggle would recognise - to a witch being burned at the stake, forever. pansy has framed pictures of herself and her friends dotted throughout the house, but they sit on tables and mantlepieces and can be easily removed, if need be.

10. ARE THEY A NAP PERSON? IF SO, HOW LONG ARE THEIR NAPS? DO THEY SET A 20 MINUTE TIMER AND WAKE UP BEFORE IT? OR SET NO TIMER AND WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?  :  she definitely isn't a nap person, but that doesn't mean she's never had need of one ! when she does, pansy sets a timer on her phone gets up the very minute that it goes off - she's definitely honed the art of a perfect and refreshing nap, and anything other than that would make hell for everyone around her.

14. WHAT IS A CORE MEMORY FROM THEIR CHILDHOOD THAT THEY LOOK BACK ON FONDLY AND FOR COMFORT?  :  it says sooo much about pansy that i cannot conjure very many examples. she had a difficult relationship with her mother, a hateful one with her grandmother, a distant one with her father, and no siblings or extended family to make something positive with. the only times that she spent with children around her age were at dinner parties and other pureblood type events, and i think the very closest to a 'core' memory for pansy to look back on would be the first time she ever met draco - her first real friend. based off all the things i used to discuss with blo, that probably involved an event neither of them wanted to be at, probably at malfoy manor, and finding each other in the depths of the gardens. the bond that they formed obviously endures through today, and however it came into existence, pansy is fiercely protective of it - and, of course, of him.

BANSHEE / HAS YOUR MUSE HAD A CLOSE CALL WITH DEATH?  :  twice, that i can recall as her mun ! the first one, i think, is just the broad 'battle of hogwarts' that is shared by most people who were involved. since nox took an au approach to that, pansy and draco's role changed - she slipped away from the group of slytherins being evacuated from the castle to search for him, and once she'd found them, they were going to leave together when they in turn stumbled on lavender being attacked by fenrir. they saved her from him, though i imagine that was not really an easy task. much more recently, she went up against another werewolf when she was attacked by one at the charity game ! getting saved by theo nott is now considered 'not canonical' since we might get a new theo who won't ascribe to all that, but she still got saved by somebody, and i think that was her closest call !

ELF / DOES YOUR MUSE VALUE APPEARANCE?  :  she very much does. she makes a lot of her assumptions about other people based just off of how they present themselves, and puts a lot of care into her own appearances because she assumes that everyone else is doing the same. her mother, the stepford type, held their family together with the most perfect of family photographs and metaphorically bloody fingernails. their reputation was everything to her, and pansy, as their only daughter, had everything resting on her shoulders. she's never quite shook the idea that as long as she looks put together, nothing can ever be wrong.

MANTICORN / WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE FEAR?  :  enclosed spaces, in a phobia sense ! in an 'everything else' sense, pansy is someone who like ... deeply frets over her own downfall, and it informs a lot of what she does and how she does it. these questions all kind of follow the same thread of looking at how her mother influenced her, but that's because she really DID - dahlia was incredibly hard on her, and everything that pansy did her whole entire life was to make her proud, which was often an impossible task. she fears making the wrong choices, fears getting set up in a loveless marriage, fears not getting set up in a secure match, fears her upward trajectory starting to go downhill, fears her image being tarnished, etc, etc. on and on it goes. dahlia is gone, and pansy recognises more and more in her adult life how detrimental her mothers form of parenting was and how wrong it was, too, but she still visits her in azkaban every few weeks and i think that like. as long as she remains in her life in some form, the things she taught her and the thought of making her happy / proud will, too.

VAMPIRE / WHICH OF THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS RELATES TO YOUR MUSE?  :  primarily vanity, slash pride ! for all the reasons already said, really ! pansy doesn't necessarily need everybody to love her, but she does need them to want to be her. she needs to be counted among life's main characters, or else she'll go absolutely insane.

DO THEY KEEP A LIST OF EVERYONE THEY BELIEVE HAS PERSONALLY WRONGED THEM?  :  of course she does ! it's not quite as impressive as kaela karkaroff's dart board, but pansy's mental list of people who have committed crimes most heinous against her ( ranging from petty schoolyard squabbles to supporting her going to prison during her brief imprisonment at the end of the 2nd war ) is expansive, and it colors most of her interactions with ex peers.

DO THE INGREDIENTS IN THINGS CONCERN THEM?  :  not really ! i think she's very conscious of what she's eating in the sense of like, keeping healthy, keeping it nice and balanced, but i think she'd drive herself mad if she was constantly reading the back of things and counting it all up in her head. i also wonder how much wix really know about the like ... microplastics and stuff that muggles are very concerned about, in supermarket foods. probably not a lot !

HOW FREQUENTLY DO THEY MIX UP WORDS?  :  i don't think she mixes things up v often. she's a huge bitch, but she is very good at communication and i think she always knows the right word to reach for in the moment or at least will spend the time to think of it, before she uses something that isn't as close to what she wants.

AND HOW WOULD THEY INTERACT WITH OTHER DOGS IN THE PARK ( IF THEY WERE A DOG )?  :  pansy wouldn't be at the park in the first place because she would be a very small, yappy little dog that got that way because her owner spoiled her absolute rotten and only ever carries her around in a ridiculously expensive ( for dog carrying purposes ) handbag. if she was at the park, you'd know something horrible had happened, and i'm going to be honest - in dog terms, she'd probably be the one getting bullied. tiny dogs get bulldozed constantly by the bigger guys, and she'd deserve it.

IF THEY WERE A PERIOD IN HISTORY, WHICH WOULD THEY BE?  :  oh boy... i'm not sure. i think i am gonna say the roaring 20's as my one true answer ( though i can make arguments about a few others ) because of the absolute insane levels of hedonism they're defined by. that really covers the vibe of the slytherin gang as it was envisioned by us, i think !

WHAT'S THE FIRST THING THEY WANT TO KNOW FROM NEW PEOPLE?  :  it feels like a cop out to say 'nothing', but pansy doesn't wanna know anything from anyone ! she doesn't need to know anything about anyone - i suppose it does sort of count to say she usually forms her first opinion based on the everything about their overall look, but since she's that quick to decide what she thinks of someone, she doesn't tend to waste time if she's decided that they're not worth it.

"minette," she repeats, carefully, her eyes narrowing imperceptibly as she tries to place their face - familiar to her in a way that evades explanation. her attitude, in general, is more rotten than usual. she knows it, same as the people around her do. all done up in her expensive clothes, makeup layered a little more heavily than usual in an effort to disguise the dark bags beneath her eyes and the tired lines etched into paled skin, pansy has a lot of work to do - at least in her mind - to undo the mess of the charity game. she's all about appearances, and though she went mostly unseen by her peers in the immediate aftermath, she still feels as if her perceived display of weakness needs to be remedied in some way. hence the bristling when she overhears the fanboys words. hence... "and what is minette merrythought's thing, exactly ?"

hands curl tightly around the base of the glass, the amber liquid inside the medicine for the shock vibrating through their body - the itch of the cruciatus curse still lingers along their goose-bumped skin. the smack of a meaty hand pats their back and causes them to jump, a familiar fan of the falcons starts drawling on about the match, about the horror, about the deaths. with a sympathetic look, the man squeezes their trembling shoulder and shuffles off, leaving minette to stare blankly into their drink.

the aggravated voice causes eyes to squeeze shut for a moment, in hopes of opening them and being home in bed, but to no avail. minette looks to the woman, features faltering as the keeper swallows. they knew who the woman was, of course they did, she was her ex's fiancée. pansy. shrugging as features pale, minette feels sick. "not that it's any of your business, but minette merrythought."

"i must really look like shit for you to care," and honestly, whether kaela is aware of the good she does or not in that moment, this realisation is for the best. it spurs pansy into action in a way nothing else has ; forcing her to stretch out stiff limbs and sit up straighter despite the protesting of her spine, to run a shaking hand through her birds nest hair and rub the sleep from her eyes, smudging the mascara lines on her cheeks all the more. her clothes aren't just wrinkled but dirty from where she hit the ground and everything that came after. she does look awful. self diagnosed. she wasn't admitted as a patient, after everything, and she hadn't wanted to go home, so it's been a very long night of waiting for the clock to finally hit visiting hours. she must've dozed off - not an easy task in the plastic chair she'd settled into once she'd lost her third receptionist fight - for so much more time to have passed than she realised. a glance at her watch tells her they're a half hour away, and mikaela's presence says that the garnering of public favor is already in full swing. "i'm fine. i'm lucky," it's the first time she's ever been able to say that, and pansy swallows hard around the lump that forms in her throat before she puts voice to the truth for the first time and tells her unlikely friend, "theo saved my life. he's okay. he wasn't bitten or anything, but they admitted him. i've been waiting to see him. are you...?"
