It is generally understood by humanity’s scholars that the only thing they know about METAPHYSICS is that they know nothing at all. Its very nature is one that is difficult for a physical mind to understand.

Still, as with any aspect of the universe, there are rules that it follows. Humanity at this moment do not yet understand these rules, and yet they have still proven themselves capable users of the Metaphysical. One such aspect of Metaphysics not yet completely understood is how it interacts with the physical. Merging physical matter with metaphysical energy creates the phenomenon known as LIFE. 

For humanity, this manifests as a SOUL encompassed by an AT-FIELD. And while the AT-Field presents a barrier for this metaphysical energy to merge between other living beings, these barriers can thin and open to other souls on certain conditions….

Also, preemptively: Yes, I know Red Desert isn't a biome, but I believed it was for about 5 minutes. :P

I have decided I am going to try and hunt down the seeds for several of the Life Series seasons, where they are not publically known, because I need those map overviews for a project.

Will I succeed? Who knows, but I'm starting with Secret Life.

I am trying to collect as much world gen data on Secret Life as I can (biomes, structures, etc.) to pump into a program called Cubiomes Viewer to find scenes that match.

Here is a visual representation of that data (not to scale or proportion).

Pumped into Cubiomes, this information about the map looks a little like this (overworld at scale is the biomes).

These parameters - combined with seed family blocks and 8 threads - let the program churn through about 20,000 seeds a second, but this will still take the computer years to get every matching seed.

I need to narrow things down further still.

So I come to you. Whatever technical details about the map you might have noticed would be greatly appreciated at this time. :D

If all else fails, though, I'm told there are communities whose skill for finding seeds is far more technical than I could ever hope to match, so that's to be my last resort. :P

No news yet. I don't work that quickly, unfortunately, and I'm debatinh whether this is something I can manage alone.

Happy Pride month to all the gay folks who should still be with us but were lost to AIDS. So many of them had (and continue to have) huge impacts on the world, despite their lives being tragically cut short.

Since this is primarily a Muppet blog, I wanted to take a moment to talk about Richard Hunt.

Richard Hunt was a gay man and a fantastic puppeteer who started working with Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, and company in 1970 at age eighteen and joined the cast of Sesame Street two years later. While working with the Muppets, he originated the characters of Scooter, Beaker, Statler, Sweetums, and Wayne, but also became the primary performer of Janice and is responsible for the flower child personality she is now known for. He was also known to be a fantastic singer.

But maybe most importantly, he made so many people happy. According the book "Of Muppets and Men" by Christopher Finch, Hunt "seems to get more unadulterated pleasure from performing than anyone else in the organization. When he is not working on camera, he is apt to have Scooter or Beaker or Janice -- anyone -- on his arm for the purpose of entertaining... He makes the crew laugh, jokes with the guest star, clowns for the shop personnel. He is one of the chief reasons for the loose atmosphere that exists around Studio D despite the pressure and the slow pace that are endemic to television production."

Hunt died at age 41 due to AIDS complications. The Muppet Workshop made a panel for the NAMES Project AIDS quilt in his honor. The Richard Hunt Spirit Award is presented every year at the Sesame Street wrap party to the cast member that best honors Hunt's generosity and dedication on set.

Rest in peace Richard. Thank you for the laughs and the smiles, and happy Pride 💛

I'm actually a bit desperate. I'm mentally stalled on the project this is for because the maps for the first few seasons were my initial lifeline.

I already asked this & evidence suggests the fandom in general doesn't have them, but if anybody has worked out the seeds or has proper maps for Secret, Wild or Real Life, I would be eternally grateful as someone trying to do pixel art worlds.

It would make things so much easier. :P

"these researchers published a paper on something that literally any of us could have told you 🙄" ok well my supervisors wont let me write something in my thesis unless I can back it up with a citation so maybe it's a good thing that they're amplifying your voice to the scientific community in a way that prevents people from writing off your experiences as annecdotal evidence
