Excitement bubbled inside you when you finally stepped foot, but it quickly simmered down when you learned that you were accepted in the place of a dead girl. First week there, you learn some mysterious things about her and the things she was associated with, leading towards her death.

Coincidently, another person is looking into her cause of death, bringing the both of you close. Outside parties seem suspicious of the two and try to insert themselves to stop it, but that only brings the both of you together to wonder what happened, behind this ‘picture perfect’ school.

A/N: Hi! I know it’s been awhile since I've posted the teaser. Around the time I wanted to post, I got very busy in my personal life and couldn’t update as much. Please enjoy the first chapter.

It’s been a couple of hours on the bus as you watched the time on your phone. You were traveling alone to your new school, since your parents were too caught up with work to send you off properly, but you don’t blame them. At first, you weren’t accepted at Clover Prep due to them accepting too many students, but an event that happened made you get the spot inside the school.

You watched the window as you dozed on-and-off every few minutes. But a certain brake indicated that the bus had made it to the bus stop. You picked up your luggage from the overhead compartment and rolled it off the bus.

The walk to the school was only 10 minutes, so you decided to walk instead of wasting your money on a taxi. The rolling of your suitcase against the bumpy concrete as the soft padding of your shoes were overpowered.

After a few turns, you made it towards the school, but it was locked by a gate and there was a security guard in front of it. “Are you lost?”

“N-no, I just need to find the front office to be enrolled,” you answered the guard, who looked like he was seconds away from laughing at you, until you pulled out your acceptance letter and his face instantly changed. “Follow me.”

You followed behind the security guard and the way to the front office gave you a glimpse of the campus. The school colors were dark green and silver, based on how the school uniforms and school gear were worn by the students. Landscape of the school was near perfection, hedges were perfectly cut and it looks like flowers were planted in the perfect spots. 

You entered a building you assumed was the admission building. It was way nicer than your old school, but you didn’t know that the school was this rich. “I have to get back to my post. Keep going straight and take a left, you’ll be in the office.”

The guard left you alone in the big building as you took his instructions. You glanced at the decorated walls, it had photos of the other graduating classes from last year to when the school first opened. It also hung photos of individual students, who were considered the pride of the school.

You pushed open a glass door and a woman, who was middle aged and had her hair up, behind the desk. She looked up and watched as you walked in. “Good afternoon! How may I help you?”

“Even she sounds posh!” You thought as you cleared your throat. “I’m (L/N) (Y/N) and I’m supposed to talk to one of the heads for my admission here.”

“Ah,” the woman said as she shuffled through some files. “We were just thinking about when you’ll arrive. Follow me.”

You left your luggage by her desk as you followed her towards the back. She led you towards the back and let you enter the office first. The office looked more like a suite than an office, expensive furniture and painting all around.

“(L/N) (Y/N), correct?” The woman asked as she sat down her piping cup of tea down on the saucer and stood up, walking towards you and held out her hand. “Headmistress Choi.”

“Nice to meet you,” you say as you shake her head, which feels icy towards the touch. You put your hand towards your side and she motioned you to sit in one of her expensive leather chairs. “I thought there were two of you?”

“My husband and I are the heads, and he’s out of town for a meeting. We don’t usually take students in this time during the semester, but something came up in the department you were in, and we looked through your file and you were better suited than the others on the waitlist,” Headmistress Choi explained as she grabbed some papers and a key from her desk. “This is your schedule, rules and schedules around the school, and the key to your dorm.”

You took the things from her and put them in your pockets as she continued to talk some more. “We also have a strict uniform policy. Anything missing from your uniform will equal a demerit. And if anything happens to your uniform, like if it tears or doesn’t fit right, please alert a faculty member immediately. If you feel like something is wrong, you can come talk to me or my husband.”

You nodded your head as you watched her stand up and you did the same thing. She sent you a small smile, “Welcome to Clover Prep and one of the student representatives will be here to take you to your dorm.”

Right on cue, a girl with raven colored hair walks inside. She scoffed slightly at your appearance and turned towards Headmistress Choi. She noticed the girl and a smile was worn on her stone cold face. “My precious girl, Jaekyung! This is (Y/N), please show her to her dorm.”

“Yes Headmistress Choi!” She says as she clasps her hand and then motioned you follow her.

You grabbed your luggage from the front and followed behind Jaekyung. By the way she’s dressed and how she looked at you when she first saw you, you could instantly tell that she was one of those spoiled rich kids, who has never seen someone below the upper class. She also had an aura of��‘don’t touch or talk to me unless given permission to.’

“So, how long have you shown new kids around?” You asked, trying to lift the tension, but you could tell she didn’t want to converse with you.

“A few times,” she replies rudely as she begins to walk faster than you, making it seem she doesn't want to be seen around you.

You bit your lip as you continued walking and noticed students looking at you. It must be pretty shocking to see someone admitted around this time, but it seems like something else that they’re talking about that you couldn’t just pin.

The dorm building was just ahead and following behind Jaekyung was finally done, since she’s shown that she won’t be friendly towards you. Once the two of you made it in front of the dorm building, you thanked her and she just rolled her eyes as she walked away.

Luckily, your dorm room number was labeled on the key. You walked up the stairs and down the hallway, until you got in front of your door. You placed the key in the hole and turned and walked inside the dorm.

The school was very rich and they liked to show it in many ways, like the dorms. The room was spacious and it contained two full sized beds, two desks, two closets, and a huge window. You walked towards the empty side and sat your luggage down. Your uniform was hanging on your closet and it seemed to be ironed.

“I was hoping you didn’t come yet!” A voice said as they entered the room. She had long brown hair and had something in her hands, a gift. “This is yours.”

“Thank you,” you answered as you took the wrapped box from her hands and sat it down on your desk.

“My name is Lee Yuri and you must be (Y/N), we’re going to be best friends” Yuri said excitedly as she locked arms with you. “Do you need help unpacking?”

“Yes,” you answered and opened your suitcase to reveal your tightly packed clothes and school materials.

“I see you met Jaekyung. Don’t worry, she’s a bitch to anyone she meets, unless you're in her group of friends,” Yuri explains as she places your clothes in your closet. “I also ironed your uniform. You can get a demerit if your uniform isn’t wrinkle free, which is unfair. The heads must’ve lost their minds when they made the uniform rule.”

You chuckled slightly at her bubbly personality. Yuri seems to be genuinely nice and always wants to help. You also learned that Yuri is the eldest sibling of her family and dreams of owning her own clothing store. The last of your things were placed away and Yuri placed your luggage in the storage closet.

“How long have you been attending here?” You asked as you sat down on your bed.

“Since middle school,” Yuri answered as she sat beside you.

“Middle school?!” You asked, shocked at her answer.

“Yeah, this school is a middle and high school combined. 30 years ago, the middle schoolers and high schoolers used to be housed together and be in the same school. But an incident happened, so they had to build the middle school on the other side of the campus,” Yuri explained as she crossed her legs. “It’s almost dinner time, let’s hurry to the dining hall before the good seats are taken.

Yuri locked arms with you and walked out your dorm room together to go get dinner together. The dining hall had a medieval feel in the interior. The dinner was some type of pasta dish you couldn’t name, but it looked better than public school food.

“Look,” Yuri said as she nodded her head in a direction. “Jaekyung is looking over here.”

You turned your head to see Yuri was right. Jaekyung was looking over at your table with a couple of her friends, whispering about something. You felt nervous. Was there something on you? Did you have anything weird on?

“I know what you’re thinking! Don’t worry about her, she’s just trying to get under your skin,” Yuri says as she takes another bite of her food. “Your first day is going to be great! Trust me! The head’s chose you for a reason!”

You smiled at Yuri’s words, because maybe she’s right. You had a clean grade and behavior record from your past schools, they definitely chose you for your clean attitude.

You button your blazer as you flatten it on your body. You hated how the dark green skirts were a little on the short side, since it was starting to get cold. The campus was slowly getting loud as students left their dorms and walked towards the dining hall for breakfast or towards the school.

“Yuri! Are you ready to go?” You asked as you approached the girl finishing her makeup.

“Yeah, just a few more things and I’ll be ready,” she answered as she put on her lipstick and placed it in her makeup bag. “Let’s go.”

The two of you walked out your dorm room and walked towards the school. You were definitely excited to start your first day after hearing so many things about the school from the alumni online. You and Yuri entered the massive school, and she guided you to your homeroom. Once you were there, you bid her a goodbye and walked in.

The classroom had a lively feel inside of it and other students doing their own things. You looked around for any empty desk, and luckily found one in the middle of the room. You placed your backpack down as you looked around the classroom. Maybe you should make friends, but the people around seem like they don’t want a new addition in their friend group. Thankfully, you were too tired last night to read the schedule, so you did just that.

“I haven’t seen your face in here,” a voice said. You looked up and saw a blonde male, with a couple of his friends behind him, as he took a chair and sat it in front of your desk. “Headmistress and Headmaster Choi don’t usually enroll students in around this time.”

“I got accepted because of my high grades and good references,” you say towards him as you fold your arms against your chest and his suspicious look quickly falters to a playful one.

The blonde laughed and turned towards his friends, “You heard that guys? She thinks she got in because of her grades and references, but she only got accepted to cover up-”

The male was ripped away from the chair from one of his friends, whose eyes were darkening with anger. “Shut the fuck up, Wooyoung! You can be such a blabbermouth.”

“Jeez, I’m sorry Yeosang,” he said as he pushed the chair back in its original place and followed his friends to their spots.

You looked down at your desk nervously. Were you really accepted to cover up something? Those thoughts swirled in your head and didn’t notice the teacher walking in. You looked up and saw the taller one of them looking at you. What was his friend going to say?

“What’s on your mind? You’ve been pushing your food around for five minutes,” Yuri asked with concern in her voice as she stared at you.

“It’s nothing,” you answered as you finally took a bite of your lunch. 

“Hmm, are you sure? Did Wooyoung say or do anything to you?” She asked and you froze at the mention of his name.

“How do you know him?” You asked as you looked up at her.

“I’ve heard and seen some things he did to some freshmen, just to scare them a bit” she replies as she takes a sip of her juice. “He’s always been like that.”

You decided not to answer and continued eating your lunch. Maybe he was just messing with you and was somehow intimidated on how you got accepted around this time of the semester, and not the beginning of the fall or spring semester like the others there. You mentally shrugged and finished up your lunch.

Your next class was an elective class that the school chose for you, which was art. You weren’t exactly great at art, but your drawings were somewhat similar to what you meant to draw. The classroom was designed like an art studio and it would make an artsy person not want to leave.

“Your desk is that empty one over there,” the teacher said as she motioned towards an empty desk.

You walked to the desk and sat down on the stool. The desk had drawers built inside to hold multiple supplies and books. You opened the drawers to leave some of your books inside and inside was a journal, which looked like a diary. The book seemed to be old and almost finished with all the pages. It was also purple with splotches of paint on the cover.

Instead of alerting the teacher, you shoved it in your backpack to see if you could find the owner. Thankfully that class went by quickly, and was your last class of the day. When the bell rang, you made a beeline for the door and made way for your dorm.

“You’re finally back from your class!” Yuri says as she looks up from her homework. “We need to talk about it tonight at dinner, because right now I’m busy with a project.”

“It’s fine, I was about to head to the library. Do you know where it is?” You asked as you pulled out a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt from your closet.

“Yeah, just take a right when you leave out of here and keep going straight. The library should be in front of you,” she replies as she pulls out her textbook.

You discreetly took the diary from your backpack and hid it in your sweatshirt, walking out the dorm room. The path had leaves on them, indicating that autumn was about to come. While walking to the library, you noticed Jaekyung and her friends walking from somewhere.

You heard about a café not that far from campus, and it is popular with the students here and assumed she was just coming from there.

But you didn’t miss the way Jaekyung stared at you as you passed her and then whispered to her friends about something, and looked back at you with a gasp. You sighed and pushed the big doors of the library open. It was massive on the inside and had many bookshelves mixed with old and new books.

You found a table in the back and sat down and finally got the chance to read the diary, once and for all.

September 5th

I usually don’t do these things, but my mom tells me it will help me while I’m away from home until Fall Break and Christmas. I, An Yeseul, am officially a student of Clover Prep, one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the country. Knowing my background, I will be the center of bullying since I’ll be around preppy rich kids. But I can manage.

I just met both, the Headmaster and Headmistress, there’s something off about the two. It’s like they’re hiding something, but I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe I’m just overthinking about it.

My roommate, Kim Jihye, luckily isn’t one of those spoiled kids. She comes from the same financial background as me. I’m probably going to forget to write in this, but this seems like a good start.

“That’s it for day one?” You asked yourself as you looked at the page once again. You didn’t want to read further, just in case each day is longer. The sky was starting to set, indicating that dinner is soon.

You pushed in the chair and walked out the library. While walking out, you noticed one of Wooyoung’s friends from earlier, going inside the library. You quickly brushed past him and he turned back to look at you and his eyes trained down to the diary you were holding.

“Excuse me,” he called out to you and you stopped to turn around. “That book looks familiar. Where’d you get it?”

“I have to go. Bye,” you said not wanting to make a conversation with him and running out the library.

“It looks oddly familiar. No way, it couldn’t be…” he thought as he watched you run off.

“Yunho, why’d she run away from you?” A guy said as he checked out the books he was holding.

“It’s nothing, Junghoon,” Yunho answered as he crossed his arms.

“I was just worried you said something to offend her,” Junghoon said as he grabbed the books from the librarian and then put an arm around Yunho’s shoulder. “Let’s go back to our dorms. Dinner should be soon.”

Yunho nodded as he walked with his friend back to their dorms to set their stuff away before dinner.

“Is there anything you want to talk about? People? Teachers?” Yuri asked as she sat her tray beside you as she picked up her spoon.

“I just keep bumping into people,” you replied as she looked at you.

“Are you afraid that the people you bump into might be bad? I can tell you” she suggested and you nodded. “Great.”

First, she pointed towards Jaekyung’s table, “You already met Jaekyung and how much of a bitch she can be. She mostly hangs out with those three and sometimes people from the student council. Only talk to her or her friends when it’s school related, if it’s not school related, stay away from her.”

Then, she pointed towards a table with a guy you didn’t know and Yeosang, who reprimanded Wooyoung earlier today. “Then that’s Baek Junghoon. He’s the school representative along with Jaekyung. They pretty much run the school when together. But luckily, Junghoon is way nicer than Jaekyung. Junghoon hangs out with Yunho, Wooyoung, and Yeosang when it relates to sports since they’re on the soccer team. Other than that, he’s mostly seen with his group of friends as well.”

“Thanks for the explanation. I know now to avoid Jaekyung at any cost,” you jokingly said and Yuri started to laugh.

Over the course of 3 weeks being there, you noticed people ignored you on purpose. Anytime you try to talk to someone to make friends, they either get up and walk away or flat out ignore you.

You’ve also been reading Yeseul’s diary and the reason why she probably left it behind, but no sign yet, just short entries. But today you feel like something big is going to happen.

Like always, you made your way to the library and sat in your usual spot. You pulled out the book and started to read the next entry.

September 26th

It’s only been 3 weeks since the new school year, and people are already acting like they have sticks shoved up their butts, especially Joo Jaekyung. 

I bumped into Baek Junghoon, which I had to admit is very cute, and we ended up talking while walking to our shared class together, which was history. When we walked in, Jaekyung immediately glared at me and pulled Junghoon away from me, like an overly jealous girlfriend.

After class, I confronted her about it and she insulted me and initiated a fight, and in the end I got in trouble with Headmistress Choi, even though I didn’t start it. I can tell that Jaekyung and I are not going to be friends.

“Hey! Joo Jaekyung! What was that for?” Yeseul asked as she stormed towards the girl.

“I don’t have time to talk to a girl like you,” Jaekyung said shortly as she walked away from her.

“What do you mean ‘a girl like me,’ Jaekyung?” Yeseul asked, now mad at the girl.

“You know, you probably slept with other boys at your school and decided to come here for a fresh start,” Jaekyung says as she jabbed her index finger in Yeseul’s shoulder. “I know your kind.”

Yeseul smacked Jaekyung’s hand away, glaring at her. “Don’t touch me! You’re just a self-centered bitch.”

“What did you just call me?” Jaekyung asked as she pushed the girl roughly, knocking her into the wall littered with posters.

“You heard me! I called you a self-centered bitch!” Yeseul answered with a smirk and pushed her back.

Just then, her hair was pulled by Jaekyung and Yeseul grabbed her hair as well, pulling it. A fight broke out between the two as they knocked each other into the walls. There was a crowd of students around them cheering them on. 

“You two stop it right there!” Headmistress Choi shouted as she stormed towards the two. “What’s going on?!”

“Headmistress Choi, I was just trying to help Yeseul and she called me names and started to fight me!” Jaekyung says as she holds her hand against her nose, probably bleeding since Yeseul punched it.

“She’s lying Headmistress Choi!” Yeseul yells as she fixes her hair. “She started the fight and insulted me first!”

“Why should I believe you? Poor Jaekyung has a bloody nose and a few bruises, and you look completely fine despite your disheveled hair” Headmistress Choi pointed out. “An Yeseul, you have 3 Saturday detentions. Hopefully you’ll learn your lesson to not pick fights with students. Let’s go to the nurse, Jaekyung.”

Yeseul stood there in shock. Of course Jaekyung would get off free from trouble. She swore from that day that her and Joo Jaekyung were enemies.

As soon as you finished reading the entry and thinking about the fight between Yeseul and Jaekyung, the diary was snatched from your hands and you looked up to see Yunho reading it. You tried to grab it from him, but Yunho raised it a little higher, while reading it.

“I knew this was hers,” he said as he closed the book and turned towards you, eyeing you suspiciously. “How’d you get it? Who gave it to you?”

“I found it in my art desk, which was probably her old seat” you answered as you snatched the book from him, holding it in your grip.

“I’ve been searching for that book ever since she died and wanted to know who played a part” he says. “It was very suspicious how her dead body moved from the locker room to the woods a mile away.”

“Locker room? I thought she died in the woods?” You asked curiously as you watched Yunho’s expression change to a ‘I said too much’.

“This is between you and I, okay? You probably want to find out why you were accepted in her place and I want to know who played a part leading up to her death. Wanna work together to find out?”

You bit your lip in thought. Solving a mystery like this wasn’t your plan when you first arrived. But since you’re curious as to why you were chosen in her place and why people ignore you like the plague, you made up your mind.

“Yes” you answered him and he nodded. The two of you were officially partners.

Announcement

Hi, I know it’s been awhile, but I’ve been doing fine and busy at the same time. So here’s the announcement I have to share.

I’m finally doing another story! It’s been awhile since I wrote Vivid Love (which was almost a year ago since the last chapter). I went a little outside my box to write the plot, so I hope you guys enjoy it.

“Sugar! Come back here!” You said as you ran after the Shiba Inu, who managed to escape your grip.

Sugar was faster than what you remember. It felt like hours before she stopped, but she sort of jumped onto someone, knocking them down and their belongings.

“I’m so sorry!” You said to the person as Sugar was licking the face of the person she jumped on.

“It’s fine!” The guy said with a smile. “I like dogs so this is okay.”

He was the cutest guy you’ve ever seen. His dark brown hair suiting his facial features nicely.

“Let me help you up” you said as you extended your hand.

He gratefully grabbed your hand and helped himself up from the ground. He then kneeled down towards Sugar. “What’s her name?”

“Sugar” you responded and smiled at him.

“It was nice meeting you two” he said with a smile and started walking away.

You huffed out your cheeks and began walking down the street again, having a tight hold on Sugar’s leash. You then noticed a piece of paper sticking from her collar. You picked up the paper and opened it.

‘Your dog is cute, but you’re cuter. I would like to get you know you sometimes and also your name. My name is Yunho.’

“What are you doing up so late?” Seonghwa asked as he wiped the sleep from his eyes.

“I couldn’t fall back asleep, so I’m making myself some tea” you answered. “Want a cup?”

He shook his head and backhugged you as you were preparing your cup of tea. The two of you stayed comfortable in the warm silence, the only sound came from the kettle on the stove warming up the water.

The kettle was done boiling water and you poured the hot water inside the mug. “If you’re tired, you can go back to bed. I’ll join you in the minute.”

Seonghwa’s grip tightened on you as he kissed the nape of your neck. “No, I’m comfortable here.”

It was now the week of graduation. Nari was packing up her apartment and sending her things to Seonghwa’s place. The only things left in her apartment is the bed that came with the place, her clothing, and a few food items.

She decided that she’s done packing for the day and walked out of her apartment to pick up dinner. She ordered from this new chicken place down the street and wanted to give it at try.

She grabbed her wallet and made way to that place. She knew when she was near, she smelled the scent of chicken in the air and walked closer towards it. She opened to glass doors and walked inside.

It was just a few workers behind the counters and another one mopping and cleaning up tables. Nari went up to the counter and paid for her order and waited for them to get it bagged.

She noticed that one of the workers was very familiar. She took a good look at it and recognized them as Dani. She was finished cleaning up the last table and stretched. She made eye contact with Nari.

The look on Dani’s face read angry. She stormed over towards Nari, stopping a few feet away from her.

“What are you doing here?” She asked as she crossed her arms. “If it wasn’t for you. I would be graduating this week. But no, you and your boyfriend had to label me as the suspect!”

“That’s because you were the one responsible for all that stuff you said about me! Here’s the problem with you Dani, you don’t like to take responsibility over things you do. You always expect Sunji or someone else to take it over you, but your karma caught up with you and now you have to deal with the consequences” Nari said as she grabbed her order. “Now excuse me. I have to go.”

Nari left Dani there shocked as she walked out the restaurant. She let go of a breath she didn’t know what she was holding. She finally got the difficult person out of her life, hopefully for good.

It was the day of graduation and Nari successfully moved into Seonghwa’s place. She was busy doing her hair when she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders.

“You look beautiful” Seonghwa said as he kissed her cheek lightly.

“Thank you” she said with a smile and continued doing her hair.

“I can’t believe months ago you threw your coffee at me because I was being an asshole to the barista” he said. “And now we’re dating and you’re graduating and now have a paid internship with my company.”

“Yeah time really flew by” she said. “If I would’ve told myself this a few months ago, I would’ve slapped myself and called me crazy.”

“Same” he chuckled and then walked around his room. “Oh it’s almost time to head up there. Are you almost done?”

“Yeah” she answered as she got up from her chair and grabbed her cap and gown. “Let’s go complete this chapter of my life.”

Everyone was lined up in their caps and gowns. Yunho and Sunji caught up with Nari, with smiles.

“Why are you two grinning at me like that? Are you two dating or something?” She asked as she looked at the two of them.

“We are” Yunho answered.

Nari eyes widened. “Oh wow! Since when?”

“About last week. We realized we liked each other, but Dani was getting in the way with her crush on Yunho. So when she got expelled, I decided to make some moves on him and now we’re dating” Sunji said.

“About Dani, I ran into her a few days ago.”

“Where?”

“She found this job at a chicken restaurant, but she still won’t take the blame on the things she said and done about me. She still saying it’s my fault for her getting expelled” Nari answered.

Yunho put his hand on Nari shoulders. “Don’t worry about her, she’s nothing now! All it matters is that you’re walking across that stage and she isn’t.”

“I guess you’re right. Let’s get ready, they’re about to start graduation.”

Everyone was taking pictures and celebrating with their friends, families, and significant others. Too bad they won’t see each other again once they leave.

Nari went looking for Seonghwa and instantly found him with a bouquet of flowers. She ran up to him and hugged him.

“Congratulations” he whispered in her ear as he kissed the side of her head. They both heard people talking around him, figuring out who he was.

“So that was the guy Dani was talking about?”

“Dani was just jealous that someone as handsome as him fell in love with Nari, instead of her.”

“Dani is a wicked woman indeed. She was really going to destroy a nice looking couple for her own good.”

Nari didn’t really care what they said. She wasn’t going to see them after today anyways.

“Are you ready to go?” He asked as he intertwined his hands into hers. “I made reservations at this place.”

She nodded and they both walked to his car. Hand to hand.

Meanwhile, Yunho was meeting Sunji’s parents and they heard shoes coming towards them.

“Sunji-ah!” It was Dani walking towards them. “I tried to call you, but it seemed like you had me blocked. Why’d you block me?”

Sunji could speak but was baffled. She told Dani off before she was expelled and now she was acting like that never happened.

“Yunho-ah! When you finish talking to her boring parents, how about we go out and celebrate your graduation! My treat” she said as she wrapped her arm around his.

Yunho immediately removed his arm from her grip and went to grab Sunji’s hand. “If you weren’t too busy calling her and checking all her social’s. You would know that we’re dating now and don’t want anything to do with you anymore. Let’s go.”

Dani stood there shocked as Yunho and Sunji walked off. She heard people gossiping on why she was there. Dani just rolled her eyes and stormed away from the event.

“I’m really proud of you, you know” Seonghwa said as he kissed the fresh mark he left on Nari’s collarbone.

“You keep telling me that every second” she said with a smile as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I just want you to know that” he said with a smile and then unclasped her bra.

He immediately went in to suck on her nipples. She whined at the friction and gripped onto his hair. His hand rested on her hips. His fingers played with the waistband of her underwear as he continued to suck on her nipples.

After he finished, he pulled down her underwear and aligned himself with her entrance.

“You ready?” He asked and she nodded and he pushed himself inside her.

When they both finished, Seonghwa collapse right beside Nari, catching his breath and then he reached in his bedside table.

“What are you looking for?” She asked raising her head up slightly as he shuffled through it and found it.

He then pulled out a box and a very nice bracelet was inside it.

“Seonghwa it’s beautiful” she said as she stared at it.

“I felt like this was the right time to give it to you” he said as he took it out the box. “I love you Moon Nari.”

“And I love you Park Seonghwa.”

He attached the bracket around her wrist and then cuddled her. The were comfortable in that silence and sleep took over them and the next day the new chapter in their life will begin.

Nari stirred in Seonghwa’s bed as the sunlight from his windows started to peer in from his bedroom. She turned her body to face him, still asleep. She smiled slightly and then looked at his clock on hid bed side table and that smile soon faded.

The time read ‘12:15 P.M.’ She jumped up and ran her hands through her hair.

“Fuck.....” she trailed off silently as Seonghwa stirred in his sleep and then opened his eyes.

“What’s wrong?” He asked as his voice was still full of sleep.

“We overslept Hwa! I was supposed to be out 6 hours ago, before anyone sees me” she said and he rose up instantly.

Nari gathered her clothes as she put them on in a rush. Seonghwa then came out of his closet with a black hoodie and a black bucket hat.

“Put these on, they’re going to be a bit big on you, but no one should really notice you” he said as he handed them to her.

She put on the clothing items he gave her and walked out his room. Once they were outside the gates of his house, a figure popped out from the corner.

“Mr.Park!” Dani said as she appeared. “I came to talk to you at your company, but your assistant said you weren’t here. So I figured out where you lived and drove here” she said and then noticing Nari’s figure in the black clothing. “Oh, and who’s this?”

Seonghwa got in front of Nari and glared down at Dani, crossing his arms “That’s my sister and she doesn’t want anyone seeing her without her makeup on.”

Dani didn’t buy it and rolled her eyes. She pushed Seonghwa out the way off guard and snatched the bucket hat off of her head, revealing Nari.

“Oh look who it is” she said in a mocking tone. “It’s Moon Nari. Now I know how you got the internship, and the others will too.”

“Dani, it’s really isn’t like that! We truly do have feelings for each other!” Nari pleaded as Dani shook her head.

“I told you Nari, you’re going to regret it and I mean it” Dani said and then dropped the hat on the ground, walking away towards her car.

Seonghwa then went to hold Nari’s trembling body, as tears were threatening to spill from her eyes. “Shh, it’s okay, it’s okay! She’s just bluffing, Dani doesn’t really do as she threatens, trust me.”

Nari trusted him, but she will soon regret listening to his words, despite him trying to cheer her up.

The paid internships don’t really start, until a week after graduations. So Seonghwa just wants the others to focus on exams and graduation.

Nari walked down towards the courtyard of the school. It’s been months since she’s actually been in class than having the lecture recorded and emailed to her. As she was walking in, people were pointing and whispering things at her.

She was confused on why people were whispering about her. She walked inside the school and Yunho immediately spotted her and grabbed her arms.

“You really need to see this” he said as dragged her over towards the crowd.

“Looks like our guest has officially arrived” Dani said as the other students turned towards her, some angry with her. “So how does it feel to steal a spot for someone who was more fit for the job?”

“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about” Nari said nervously, as her hands started to sweat.

“I mean you did spread your legs to get that spot right?” She asked accusingly as she started walking towards Nari slowly. “No wonder Mr.Park liked you. You guys probably planned to make it look like you hated each other in the first place, right?”

“What you’re saying is all wrong! I told you we really do have feelings for each other! I didn’t use him!” Nari said as tears were welling up in her eyes. “You just like to spread rumors on anything you see.”

“Because you Moon Nari, I lost a perfectly good opportunity, you bitch” Kim Ara, a girl who was going up for the internship interjected with a glare. “We can’t have nothing nice because of girls like you!”

Before tears were about to fall on her face, she tried to leave the crowd, but people stopped her from doing so.

“Oh look she’s going to go cry since we figured out what she was doing.”

“She’s just a fucking crybaby!”

“She’s really going to ruin the name of this school.”

“Let’s see if the principal lets her graduate once he figures out what she’s done.”

Nari finally gained enough power to push the people away, with tears falling down her face. She ran away and noticed Sunji far away from the crowd, watching what happened.

“Nari! Wait up!” Yunho called out as he ran after his friend.

After a few minutes of running, he finally caught up to her and turned her around.

“What do you want Yunho?” She asked as she wiped her eyes from the tears.

“Nari-ah, are you really dating him?” He asked.

“What if I am? Are you going to shame me like those others, because of the lies Dani is spreading?” She asked as she sobbed. “If you are. Leave me alone!”

Yunho pulled her into a hug. He felt Nari relaxed in his hug. “Nari you know me. I’ll never shame you in anything. You are my best friend and I’ll be damned if anything happens to you. You really love him and there’s nothing wrong with that.”

Nari just sobbed into his chest. “I just want to go home. Please take me home.”

Yunho just nodded and led Nari towards his car. He drove in front of her apartment and she immediately rushed out the car and went inside the apartment and was planning on not coming out for days

Seonghwa was worried about Nari. He’s been trying to call her, but it kept going to voicemail. He assumed she was too busy studying for her exams, but she would check her phone for any missed calls or texts. He didn’t want to barge over there, so he called Yunho.

“Yunho. I’m worried about Nari. She hasn’t been returning my texts or calls. Is she busy studying for exams?” He asked into the phone as he was signing some papers.

“About that. Dani wasn’t bluffing and told the whole school some lies about Nari saying that she seduced you into giving her the paid internship. And if Nari shows her face here at school, she will be ridiculed to the point where it will get physical. Luckily it didn’t get physical a few days ago” Yunho explained.

Seonghwa’s grip on his pen tightened. The look on his face could kill anyone. Seonghwa also blamed himself on telling Nari not to worry.

“Where is she now?”

“She’s been stuck in her apartment. She hasn’t come out for anything, but I do sneak over there and place meals on her doorsteps if she hasn’t eaten” Yunho said. “But it’s going to be over for her once the principal overhears about it.”

“I’ll go over there once I finish my job here. You should probably go study or go to class if you have one” Seonghwa said and then hung up.

Seonghwa was going help Nari anyway she can and clear up her name, even if that means getting his hands dirty.

“Yah! Kang Sunji! Come back here!” Yunho said angrily chasing after the girl.

“W-what do you want Yunho?” Sunji asked frightened by his tone.

“Why don’t you say anything about Dani? I know you have stuff against her that can clear Nari’s name!” He asked angrily. “You can actually help her.”

“I’m just scared. Dani has some stuff against my family which can hurt my future. It’s already bad since she uses me for information” she said as she tightened the grip on her bag.

“You really going to cower in fear, while Nari might not even have a future?! The word already got out to the principal and the board and they’re thinking of not letting her graduate and expelling her for ruining the schools ‘name’. She might not even have a future if you don’t speak up” he said angrily. “But oh I forgot. You have to protect your future while another ones get ruined.”

Yunho stormed off and left a stunned Sunji. She never thought about it like that. If she kept the truth in, it would greatly affect Nari. But if she does, she can help Nari.

“What should I do?!” She said to herself as she bit her fingernails nervously.

Seonghwa made it towards Nari’s apartment. He knocked on the door, hoping she would answer. Five minutes passed and she hasn’t answered the door. He took the liberty to push in her code and went inside her apartment.

He walked inside and saw the meals Yunho brought to her, uneaten. It looks like she hasn’t left for days, since her curtains were closed. He opened her curtains slightly and made his way into her room.

Seonghwa walked in and saw Nari wrapped in her blankets, while staring at the blank wall. She turned over and saw Seonghwa in her door way.

“What are you doing here? Haven’t you ruined my life enough?” She asked in a hateful tone which hurt him.

He sat on the other side of the bed. “I came here to check on you. Yunho has been worried for you, I have been worried for you. I’ve been wondering if you ate, drunk water, or went outside.”

“Well I’ve done none of those things. Now thanks to those lies, my future might be in jeopardy. I regret letting you kiss me at that party! I regret falling in love with-“

She was cut off with a kiss by him. She responded to the kiss instantly. He felt tears coming from her, wetting his face. He leaned away from her and saw her puffy eyes that shown she’s been crying a lot.

“I don’t regret falling in love with you” he said with a smile as he wiped away her tears. “What have those people been saying to you?”

Nari got up from her spot and went to her laptop and handed it to him. He scrolled through multiple emails from people bullying her and even as far as death threats. He took a USB from his pocket and put it in her computer.

“What are you doing?” She asked curiously.

“Just something your other graduates are going to regret” he said and then finished with the USB, taking it out of the computer.

Just then, he received a text and pulled out his phone from his pocket.

From Unknown [2:15 P.M]: Hello Mr.Park Seonghwa, I’m Principal Han from Seokhye University. Can you please come to my office at 8 AM sharp? I would like to talk to you about a relationship between you and a student enrolled here? Thank you.

“Who is it?” She asked.

“It’s your principal, but don’t worry I got everything covered” he said with a smile. “Now let me make you something. You must be starving.”

It was the next day and Seonghwa walked into the school. People instantly recognized him and started whispering, but he didn’t mind. He was going to get justice for Nari.

He walked inside the office and the principal noticed him.

“Hello Mr.Park. Please have a seat” Mr.Han said as Seonghwa took a seat. “I would like to discuss the relationship between student Moon Nari and you.”

“What is there to discuss?” Seonghwa asked as he crossed his arms and Mr.Han looked offended by that question.

“W-what’s wrong?! What she did was basically cheating. That internship should’ve went to a student who actually deserved it and not some girl who sleeps around to get ahead” Mr.Han said angrily. “I was being nice and inviting you here to break up with her, before I go through the process of expelling her. Besides your age gap is too big!”

It was Seonghwa’s turn to get angry. “I hope you know those students are sending her mean comments and death threats to her email! She did not sleep around to get the internship, she worked hard to get it than the person who’s spreading these rumors! And now you’re expelling her without looking into the rumors? You’re basically going off of lies! Besides our age gap isn’t that huge, she’s 24 and I’m 28!”

“And who is responsible for these rumors that you say aren’t true?” Mr.Han asked.

“Jung Dani” he said and then gave Mr.Han the USB. “You probably want to look at this since your students are, ‘oh so innocent’!” Seonghwa said.

Mr.Han plugged in the USB and his eyes immediately widened at the comments. He didn’t think it got that bad, he just thought it was just some small bullying and whispering. Not actually sending death threats and threatening of coming to her house or other things.

“B-but these could be-“ Seonghwa cut him off.

“If you let them graduate hook free, I will expose these to the media and they won’t have to worry about their future, because it’ll already be ruined by me, especially Jung Dani. I will also expose you as well and you won’t have a big freshmen class in the fall” Seonghwa said in a threatening tone. “And you can repay Nari by letting her graduate and not letting her take her exams, her knowledge can back her up. I’ll be leaving now since you’ve wasted my time.”

Seonghwa left out the office with a big smile on his face, he knew threatening Mr.Han with bad exposure will get Nari the justice she deserves.

Dani was now crowded by a group of people, hoping to her more lies about Nari.

“Dani-ah? Did she really do that to you?” A classmate asked.

“Yeah, but I heard she’s getting expelled so karma is hitting right back at her” Dani said in a smug tone. They heard the sounds of shoes angrily heading towards them. Dani looked and saw Sunji and Yunho.

“Oh looks it’s Sunji! Tell them more things about Nari’s real attitude” she said.

“No” Sunji stated.

Dani was shocked, she stood up and tried to intimidate Sunji. “Did you just say no to me?! You know what I can do right?”

“Cut the bullshit Dani! You’re not innocent, Nari is innocent. The first day we tried for internships, you tried to ruin her reputation! But those people didn’t pay no mind because they hate people just like you! You said Nari slept with Mr.Park just so she could get it, don’t act like you also didn’t plan to do that also. You were going to do way worse and you’re mad that he fell in love with Nari. Just admit it Dani. You’re jealous of Nari and all of her success, aren’t you?” Sunji said in a smug tone.

Whispers started to form around Dani. She was seething in anger, she didn’t plan for that to happen today, before she could get a hit on Sunji, people crowded her.

“So, you were spreading lies? Wow I can’t believe I believed you. I should’ve known you can manipulate people into believing anything” another classmate said in a disappointed tone. “I wish I could take back those emails I sent to Nari.”

Classmates now started to curse at Dani. Yunho grabbed Sunji’s hands and led her away from the classmates who are now angry at Dani.

“You did great, Nari is going to be really grateful of you” he said with a smile. “Now let’s go before any chaos happens.”

A few days later, after all the chaos. Dani couldn’t graduate and got expelled the next day after everything was exposed. All the other classmates, except Sunji and Yunho, had received punishments. Nari was able to go to school without any obstacles, and people soon started apologizing to her.

Graduation was only a few days away and things were going crazy. But Nari was happy that her life is going back to normal like it should’ve been.

“Are you ready to graduate?” Seonghwa asked.

“Hmm I’m not sure. I’m not really that ready to step out in the real world” she said as she twirled her pencil around her fingers.

“Don’t worry, you can move in with me after graduation” he said.

“Are you sure?” She asked and he nodded.

“Yep” he said and then pulled something out of his pockets. “Here”

He slid the extra pair of keys across the table. It was the key to his house. She took the keys gratefully and smiled at him. “Thank you for helping me through this mess.”

“You’re welcome” he said with a smile. “Let’s go get you home, you have to prepare for graduation.”

A/N: it’s been 84 fucking years. And I’m finally back writing this. Also Nari and Seonghwa are in a established relationship in this chapter :)

Things between Nari and Seonghwa have been going smoothly. They’ve been talking to each other more and a relationship has started to spark between them. Nari has managed to even get into the Top 3, since Seonghwa isn’t making it very difficult for her. They even found a new secretary for him to replace Ms.Lee. But Nari is kind of supiscious of her.

Nari was finishing making herself a cup of coffee in the break room, when someone walked in.

“Do you mind making me some tea?” She looked up and saw Seonghwa with a reusable cup.

“Yeah sure” she said as she smiled and made more hot water. “So how are you liking your new assistant?”

“She’s not as fast with her tasks as Ms.Lee, but she gets them done on time at least” he sighed as he crossed his arms.

“Maybe she has to get used to this place first. It may be different from her different job. Give her a month or two and she’ll get the hang of it” she said as she grabbed a tea bag and poured the hot water into his reusable cup. “Anyways here’s your tea.”

“Thank you” he said as he grabbed the cup from her hands, their fingers grazing a little. They stared at each other and Seonghwa started leaning in closer and closer until she felt his breath on her lips, but someone walked in before he could get a chance to kiss her.

“I didn’t expect you two to be in here” Dani said as she walked by the coffee maker to make her a cup of coffee. She then raise en eyebrow at their flushed expressions. “Did I interrupt something?”

“No! I’ll see you around Mr.Park!” Nari said as she bowed at him and left the break room while sipping her coffee.

Seonghwa then bowed towards Dani and left the break room to go back to his office to finish some paperwork.

“There’s something off about them....” Dani said quietly as she looked at the two of them.

Nari was finishing the last of her report that was due this week. She was typing away with her headphones in and someone suddenly pulled them out.

“What the...” she trailed off and turned behind her and saw Yunho.

“After you finish your report, do you want to go get lunch together?” He asked and she nodded.

“Sure, I just need to finish this last sentence and I’m free to go.”

Nari pressed the ‘submit’ button on her report and then grabbed her bag. “Let’s go. I know this really good place we can go eat at.”

The two were now seated in front of each other with a plate of pizza in front of them.

“How’d you get off of Mr.Park’s bad side?” He asked curiously as he took a bite of his pizza.

“I don’t know. I got lucky I guess” she lied as she stared down at her plate.

“I heard this weird wacky rumor is that you guys are in a relationship” he said and that made her choke on her cola, which made him scared. “Are you okay Nari-ah?”

“Uhm...yeah” she said and took a bite out of her pizza. “Where exactly did you hear that?”

“From Dani. But you really can’t believe what she says without proof, so she’s pretty much telling a tale” he answered.

Nari then sighed in relief and looked up to her friend. “If something was going on between us, I’ll tell you first then Yunho.”

Yunho smiled and continued eating his food. Nari felt bad for lying to him, but it wasn’t a good time to tell him, especially since Dani is highly suspicious of them. She then shook out the thoughts from her head and went along eating with Yunho.

It was now 4 in the afternoon and Nari came home from work. The full paid internships will be announced next week and she was nervous. Even though she was dating Seonghwa, she still wants to prove that she can work better.

Nari heard a knock at her front door and went to open it. She turned the knob and there stood Seonghwa with a bag of ingredients.

“I remembered from a few days ago you were craving stirred udon, so I came to fix it for you” he said with a smile. He was changed out of his suit and now was wearing a white buttoned shirt tucked into some black pants. “Can I come in?”

Nari cleared the way of her front door and he went into the kitchen and put the bags on the counter. Nari sat on one of her bar stools as she watched Seonghwa rummage around her kitchen for a pot to boil water in.

“You need to invest in some cookware” he said as he found a pot to boil water in.

“I would but I burn water” she joked as he chuckled lightly as he put the pot on the stove.

“Since it’ll take a while for the water to bowl, how about we do something to pass the time?” He asked as he walked over towards her and biting his lip.

He grabbed her waist and leaned in. The kiss started out slow and gentle, and then it went to heated in a second. Nari wrapped her arms around his neck as he lifted her up on the island. His lips then went down towards her neck and leaving red marks along her neck. She whimpered as he found her sweet spot.

“Found it” he whispered as he went back to leaving marks on her. Nari’s hands traveled down towards his shirt and unbuttoned some of his buttons, as Seonghwa was in the process of trying to remove her pants.

Before he could successfully take of her pants, a knock interrupted them. They jumped at the knock and waited for the person to say something.

“Nari-ah! I have the notes you let me borrowed last week! Are you in there or are you sleep?”

It was Yunho. Nari quickly jumped off the counter and fixed her pants that Seonghwa almost took off.

“It’s Yunho! You have to hide!” She whispered as Seonghwa hurriedly buttoned back up his shirt. Nari pushed him in the closet in her living room, where she usually keeps her old coats and jackets and other things.

As she closed the door, she heard the code being entered and Yunho entering. “Were you sleep?”

Nari shook her head and then hid her neck after she saw it in the mirror in the living room. “I wasn’t sleep, I was just busy putting something in the closet.”

He put the notes down on her coffee table and walked towards her. “Why are you holding your neck? Did you strain it?”

“No. It just hurts from me overworking” she said. “You should go. We have exams and you should be studying really hard.”

“Yeah, but I’m also excited to see who gets the paid internships. I hope me and you get it” he said.

“Same” she agreed. Yunho bid a goodbye and closed the door. Nari looked out her window to make sure he was gone from view and then Seonghwa stepped out and looked over at the stove and the water was now boiling.

“Looks like it’s time for me to cook and after we finish eating, we can continue what we were doing before Yunho interrupted.”

It was now the week of the paid internships. People have been working hard over the weeks to get it, but Dani kept pushing the objective that Seonghwa and Nari are indeed dating, but people just called her crazy.

Hongjoong came by her desk and gave her a coffee. “I know about you and Seonghwa.”

Nari choked on her coffee and looked up at him with wide eyes. “H-how’d you know?”

“Did you forget we’re friends? He told me about it a few nights ago over a drink” he said. “Make sure to keep it a secret if you get the internship, the women here love to talk.”

Nari thanked him and continued to drink her coffee. Sunji and Dani came back from a meeting they were in and sat down at their desks.

“Sunji-ah, didn’t you see Seonghwa and Nari eating dinner together a few days ago?” Dani asked as she whispered towards Sunji. Sunji looked nervous as she looked over to Nari.

“Dani, I don’t know about this...” Sunji trailed off and then was cut by Dani saying something rude to her.

“Why is so crazy to find out stuff about me?” Nari asked as she bit her lip nervously.

Now it was 4 P.M. everyone huddled around Seonghwa to found out who got the paid internship. Nari held her hands nervously as he looked over the paper.

“You guys worked hard over the months, but like I said in the beginning, I’m choosing half of you. So if your name is called, you got the internship.”

“Choi San, Jeong Yunho, Kang Sunji, Moon Nari, and Lee Dowoon. Those 5 worked harder than anyone I’ve ever seen and it was only fair to choose them” he said.

Nari was happy that she was chosen. She looked over towards Dani who looked angrily.

“Yah! Mr.Park! How could you choose Nari over me? I worked harder than her in all the things. I did every task I was supposed to do!”

“If you call spreading rumors, talking bad about your other peers, plus my employees I hired. Then I guess that’s your definitions of tasks” he said as he crossed his arms. “My decisions are final.”

Nari smiled at Seonghwa and then Mr.Park and grabbed her things. When she was on the first floor of the office, she felt a shove behind her and an angry Dani.

“Did you really sleep with Mr.Park just so you could get the internship?” She asked angrily. “I never knew the Moon Nari is that kind of girl.”

“Dani just admit it. You’re just angry you couldn’t get what you want this time. And besides, you barely did any of the work, Sunji did your work” Nari said and walked out of the building.

“You’re going to regret saying that Nari.”

“You’ve done well these past months” Seonghwa said as he took a sip of his wine.

Nari had an identical glass and took a sip of hers as well. She was too distracted on what Dani said to her to even hear what Seonghwa was saying to her.

“Are you okay?” He asked as he caressed her cheek worriedly.

“Hmm. Yeah, just thinking about some things” she said.

“What were you thinking about?” He asked.

“Nothing. It’s just what Dani said to me.”

“What did she say?”

“Oh it wasn’t important. Just her talking nonsense.”

“How about I go run the two of us a nice, warm bath and fall asleep for the night. How does that sound?” He asked and she nodded.

“That sounds nice.”
