White tears (see this post if you need a definition) are a problem in pagan and witchcraft communities. They are often deployed in response to criticism of culturally appropriative practices.
Instead of silencing their ego and listening, the white witch or pagan will act like the person of color is being a mean bully just trying to tear them and their spiritual path down.
There are certain forms of rhetoric these people often employ to try and justify themselves. Here are some I have personally encountered:
Asserting that their Black and brown critics are creating division in communities. (BS because cultural appropriation does not promote unity between white people and POC. Because it always involves white people trying to control the narrative, it actually alienates POC.)
Asserting that they're following a deeply-felt higher calling. (BS because it's obvious they're following their own egos.)
Asserting that their critics have fallen for a deception perpetrated by the elite. (BS because it's an appeal to conspiracy theory. Even if they genuinely believe it, it's still BS.)
Asserting that they need this practice for Reasons. (This is BS because there are always alternative.)
So yeah, watch out for this stuff and don't fall for it. If you ever feel tempted to act like this when somebody criticizes you for cultural appropriation, stop, practice mindfulness, set aside your ego, and listen to what they're saying without letting yourself react.

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?

Feeling sort of burnt out on the internet culture of hot takes so here's my
Witchcraft Medium Takes
There are so many opinions on what witchcraft is and is not, and I find I have been feeling a lot of internal pressure to conform to one label of witch right now, so I've pivoted to calling myself a practitioner.
It's ok to just forget to put intention into something, like making a soup and forgetting to put comfort and healing into it. Just make up for it where you can.
I don't like "the Gods are mad at you if" and "the Gods aren't mad at you" posts. Only you know if you've pissed off your deity. And honestly, if you don't have the intuition and relationship to know that, you probably aren't ready to work with Deities.
"Protection first" vs hating that mindset of teaching is sort of a null battle. If someone doesn't want to learn protection, that's their prerogative. Either they'll practice adept protection when they do spell work, or they won't.
The craft isn't paganism, and paganism isn't the craft.
No one is harmed by you practicing the wheel of the year or not.
The best way to learn the craft is to practice. Literally does not matter what it is. Glamour magic every day? You're still practicing. Elaborate rituals once a month? Guess what. Still practicing. Read and research, so you know what to do when you practice, but like riding a bike, you actually have to do it to learn.
It's worth trying different types of witchcraft to learn what actually resonates with you. High magic, chaos magic, kitchen witchery, the lot. You have to attempt them before you know if it feels good or not. Reading about it isn't enough. I thought I'd love kitchen witchery, but I simply don't have the focus for it (see point 2).

i was born to have long distance friends but not in the age of the internet. i'll be like "i suck at maintaining long distance friendships" and people are like "well yeah humans weren't wired to be available to everyone at all times. sometimes it takes a few days or weeks to respond." and then i can't go on because i wish i responded to people within weeks. i was born to be a penpal on increasingly dangerous and strange expeditions that you hear from twice a year in lengthy letters which assure you that i'm alive and not much more.
i read your texts huddled in my sleeping bag in the mountains like letters scented with the perfume of a lover. they find me froze to death with my phone open to your most recent music recommendations i forgot to tell you i liked a lot.

Writing your own mythology
Do any Pagans write their own myths regarding creation and the seasons, as a way to connect better with deity?
Do we have any homegrown creation or natural cycle myths that aren't sex, fertility, and heterosexually focused?
Tell me about them. I wanna know! I'm currently attempting to understand divinity as artisan, innovator, craftsman. Steer away from the gender essentialist bullshit and toward something more inspirational and creativity oriented for my own path.

A year ago I made some silly Trigun fanart that brought all the bigots out of the woodworks, so I told them that everything I draw is gay, including Space Cat. And now he has a boyfriend, welcome Rainbow Cat! 🌈
