I am 100% a product junkie but I'm trying to change. So with that in mind, I allowed myself a last product splurge before my self imposed 1 year ban on new products. The haul included @melaninhaircare. So excited to give it a try. The box got beat up and delayed crossing the Atlantic but it all arrived in one piece (and yes, I bought 2 each of some of the line). I haven't (yet) gone down the DIY route and put banana in my hair, pretty much everything else, I've been close but wimped out each time. Although I've read that if you use baby banana food puree, it's a quick, cheat way to do it that is less messy but just as effective. . But I do love banana in my haircare. I will never not be impressed with my hair! There, I've said it, I'm proud of my hair. And I literally can't believe how moisturised it still feels after washing it on Monday. I literally just took out my Doo Doo plaits that it's been hiding in since "The Incident" with my DIY Almond Butter Hair Mask (I think their idea of smooth almond butter is different to mine) and it feels like Day 1 or 2 moisture. . I was able to comb my hair out with very little effort or breakage. I am amazed! . I chopped all my hair off almost 4 years ago and at the time I was obsessed with growing my hair back. I wanted tailbone length hair. Last week, I chopped off about an inch of my hair, if not more because I wasn't measuring it, I was just getting rid of what needed to go. As long as my hair is healthy, I'll be happy. You can just about make out the kids toys in the background of this pic. While some people have a sewing room, I have a nest of tables in the corner of my living room while I sit on the sofa bingeing on The Good Place. The big table has the sewing machine on. The next smallest has the sewing kit on and the smallest has my fabric on. Not the best set up but good enough to make a decent mask in. .
