I stand by the fact that Tsunami attacking the Skywing in book 2 was a more than valid action. I don’t get why it’s portrayed as her being irrational, he very obviously saw Sunny lol

Honestly it’s kinda weird how Clays involvement in Glory escaping the Nightwings is never mentioned. Sure, Clay doing crazy stuff for the others isn’t anything new, but STILL

a swap au I think would be very interesting is Clay and Peril. I’ve actually thought about a what if on this a lot, with Clays egg being taken alongside most or all of the skywings on the brightest night, but Asha managing to survive and help raise the DoD, meanwhile Peril(and likely Sky) are also there with Kestrel joining the Talons of Peace to keep away from Scarlet. There might also be a Skywing DoD, with Glory now being Clays replacement.

I imagine Scarlet when she sees Clay seemingly attacking the eggs is completely thrilled by it, and manages to convince Burn to let her keep the dragonet for her arena

due to not having the instant wincon of firescales, Clay had become EXTREMELY brutal in the arena so that he could survive, and basically think that he has to be a monster for himself and Queen Scarlet, who he’d came to see like a twisted sort of mother figure

I imagine Clay and Peril then meet when Peril is trying to save the DoD and others from Scarlets grasp after she captures them like in Book One. I imagine at first Clay mocks Peril due to him being her one counter, but after a while the two end up mellowed out because neither can quite beat the other, even if Clay held a slight advantage.

After that things probably continue on, with Clay likely trying to join the DoD after the events, but instead goes off on his own after seeing how Glory reacts to his presence, since though he’s changed a lot, Clay is still in the end Clay. Wouldn’t surprise me if he stuck around from a distance however

So we've been watching this Movie called Unstoppable in class. It was the last movie Tony Scott Directed before his death and featured Chris Pine and Denzel Washington as main characters. For those who don't know, Unstoppable is the story of a runaway train, where Rookie Conductor Will Colson and veteran engineer Frank Barnes have to chase after a runaway train carrying tons of toxic chemicals before it derails and kills people. It was actually based off something called The Crazy Eights incident.

Now where am I going with this and how does this connect with WoF?

Human AU. Rookie railroad conductor Moonwatcher is dealing with family issues from her new work schedule. For those who don't know railroad employees can be called to work any time, doesnt matter if it's 12:00am or 3:45pm, you have to be at work within two hours. The only exception is ten hours of undisturbed rest after you get off work. This raises hell with your social life as you miss a lot of holidays and family events. Meanwhile outcasts tough engineer Peril is trying to get Moon to speed the hell up and connect the damn train so they ain't late.

Meanwhile in the other end of the Sky Kingdom Pacific, we got Qibli and Winter doing train things when Qibli fucks up and now we got a runaway train. With not only diesel full in the locomotives to worry about, but every single car on that train is a tanker of Molton Phentonal, which is used in the manufacturing of glue. So one near miss involving Peril and Moon, they decide to chase down the runway train before anyone can be blown to smitherines.

as much as i really like quinter as a ship, i think a lot of people take it way too far to the point of degrading moon to an unbearable extent. and in all honesty, i don't think any of them should have started dating when they did. isn't moon only four in the events of moon rising? that's like ten years old in dragon years. girlie has more important issues than which dragon she should start dating.

back when there was that whole mass whirlpool confessions thing on the other wof confession acc I very vaguely remember someone saying "why did whirlpool go for the kids and not queen coral" and. listen I hate whirlpool and I'm not trying to defend him but did we forget about Gill??? Queen Coral's husband??? And how she was waiting for him (if I remember correctly)???? And the fact that she was QUITE LITERALLY tried to get Tsunami with him like. Not even a day or two after she met her??? Clearly she didn't like him anyways!!!

I hate whirlpool with all my heart and again im not trying to defend him believe me but there was like. A 70 percent chance he'd probably be played off (or killed) if he went for queen coral.

I loved arc three until the end of the poison jungle/ the dangerous gift. Like. It was a bit wonky, yeah, but it was fun! It was a high stakes adventure that didn't involve a nightwing prophecy and I was having fun reading it.

But then they decided to go to Phyrria. And the dangerous gift (the most boring book in the series imo) happened, and suddently we are back in the prophecy bandwagon baby. Im fully convinced that if WoF ended in arc 2, and Arc 3 was like a spin off series with no correlation to arcs 1 and 2 it would have been much better. Like I want to go reread the first three books, but then I remember how it ends and I just feel like its a waste of time.

Okayokayokay headcanon I’m scared to post on main but uhhh.

Considering that you learn to talk from hearing your parents do so nearly constantly throughout your young life and Moon was alone in the rainforest for a solid percentage of her life I headcanon that at the very least she was still struggling with saying R’s, S’s, or TH’s by the time she was shoved into the Nightwing village with no warning (which did not help with the bullying from the other Nightwings)

Maybe she even spent a bit of time at Jade Mountain struggling to say Qibli’s and/or Turtle’s and/or Winter’s and/or Umber’s name. Almost 100% struggled with Carnelian’s.

they would be cool as friends but Turtle and Peril being friends makes so much more sense for the plot
