To put it simply--Wolfgang does not have his shit together. He’s a habitual drunk who barely scrapes by on the lower streets of Ul’dah purely due to his prowess in the ring. Without his fists and flirty attitude however, Wolfgang is just a broken man too far jaded to pick up the pieces. For now. 

PLOT HOOKS 

SUCKER PUNCH: Wolfgang has always lived very...precariously. He’s very day to day. Some nights he wins big in the pit and spends the evening showered in men, women, and food. Other nights he gets knocked on his ass and nurses his wounds with booze in an alleyway. Those nights when he’s faced with reality, he’s most vulnerable. Would a chance encounter with you help bring on the change in him that he sorely needs?  OF THE FIST: Wolfgang has always been a talented fighter. He would’ve had a place as a mentor in the pugilist guild had he not been deemed far too chaotic  to take on such a responsibility. He’s never thought of himself beyond a mean right hook, but between his Ala Mhigan roots and his proclivity for a good brawl, this highlander could make a fine monk under your mentorship. He just doesn’t know it yet. SOMETHING TO FIGHT FOR: Wolfgang doesn’t talk about his family or his past at all but there is a reason his gaze always turns towards home. Ala Mhigo. It should come to no surprise that his fleeing--no his abandonment-- of the homeland is one of the reasons he tries so hard to never get back up on his feet. Because if he did, if he was forced by you to hope again, he wouldn’t stop fighting till he dropped dead.
