thinking about Auden/Frey... we all know my priority is Cuff/Frey but i am into the poly-v (or even ot3 but it would take A LOT to get to a place where that was possible) situation but only if Auden Knows
from a consent standpoint, Auden would need to know that there was another participant whether any of them like it or not. and once she does know, how does she feel about that? that someone she is interested in building something with is harboring another living being and separating them is not an option Frey is willing to entertain? where do you go with that? how do you make peace with it? do you make peace with it? can you?
"Do you trust me?" Auden said, brow furrowed with an emotion Frey couldn't parse.
That wasn't what Frey had expected her to say. "What? Yeah. Of course." When Auden held out her hand to Frey, Frey easily put her own out in return. Auden's fingers closed around hers, a familiar feeling now.
"Do you trust me to..." Auden faltered for a moment, "to have your best interests at heart? To care for you, to worry for you?"
"Yes. Auden, what--"
"Do you trust me with the truth?" Frey froze but Auden didn't stop, despite her shaky exhale. "Do you trust me with whole truth?"
For the first time in their friendship, when Frey tried to pull her hand away, Auden clung tighter. There was resolve in her eyes even as her bottom lip quivered.
