"The trannies should be able to piss in whatever toilet they want and change their bodies however they want. Why is it my business if some chick has a dick or a guy has a pie? I'm not a trannie or a fag so I don't care, just give 'em the medicine they need."
"This is an LGBT safe space. Of COURSE I fully support individuals who identify as transgender and their right to self-determination! I just think that transitioning is a very serious choice and should be heavily regulated. And there could be a lot of harm in exposing cis children to such topics, so we should be really careful about when it is appropriate to mention trans issues or have too much trans visibility."
One of the above statements is Problematic and the other is slightly annoying. If we disagree on which is which then working together for a better future is going to get really fucking difficult.

For any U.S residents you can message the president to urge for a recount/investigation.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/
Template for a message to send.
"I urge you to recount the election and investigate election interference. Bomb threats have been called into multiple polling locations. Domestic terrorists have burned ballot boxes. Ballots are being discarded. An investigation and recount for this election is urgently needed."
Remember to share this with anyone willing to listen!

More Appalachia flood news as of 5:30 pm Eastern Time on Monday, September 30th:

The Oconaluftee Island Park in downtown Cherokee, N.C. was completely underwater by mid-morning on Friday, Sept. 27 due to Tropical Storm Helene. (SCOTT MCKIE B.P./One Feather photo)
In addition to many counties in North Carolina, a major disaster has been declared for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, and expanded & more immediate FEMA funding has been approved for EBCI. People can apply online, over the phone, or in the FEMA app.
According to the Cherokee One Feather newspaper, “EBCI Ugvwiyuhi (Principal Chief) Michell Hicks issued a State of Emergency for the EBCI on Thursday, Sept. 26 prior to the storm hitting the Qualla Boundary.”
Cherokee Central Schools remain closed until Wednesday, October 2.
The 112th Cherokee Indian Fair will go on as planned on Oct. 1-5. Food and water donations will be accepted throughout the week, to be donated to areas most impacted by the Hurricane Helene floods.
The Cherokee One Feather, which identifies itself as the official multi-media news source of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, requested a damage report for the tribe but did not received that information as of press time (September 30th)

wanna hear a wild story? my brother’s history professor is closing in on 80 and basically lives at the university. one night my brother visited him for a meeting, and it came up that my brother was gonna be performing as a court jester at the castle the following day. and his professor busts out: “ah, that reminds me of my youth!”
he then proceeded to tell the tale of when he and his friends went backpacking to greece back in their early 20s. then one day they found themselves completely penniless. so they decided that the only reasonable thing to do was to set up acrobatic shows in skimpy outfits on the beach at day, and then drink up the money at night.
after a week or so they gained some traction, and a gang of young greek men walked up to them like “hey y’all are cool as hell, can we join y’all for drinks tonight?” and my brother’s professor was like “of course! y’all have to wear these revealing outfits and do somersaults with us tho” and the greek gang said “sounds dope. y’all are invited to live with us for however long y’all want.”
anyhow, they proceeded to live like this for the better part of 3 months, doing shows, drinking, and sleeping at the greek gang’s apartment. but after a while they decided enough was enough, and said thank you for everything, but we’re going back to sweden now. and the greeks said “sure! love y’all have a safe trip xx”
half a year later my brother’s professor gets contacted by the greek police. they ask him about the months they spent in greece, and then informs him that their greek friends have been convicted of serial homicide and robbery. that the group of young greek men had joined up with several tourist groups for several years “for drinks”, and then killed and robbed them all, terrorising the beach city for several years. with one exception, of course, because “this one group of swedish acrobats in slutty strongman suits were just ‘so damn nice’”.
and that’s the story of how one swedish history university professor survived sharing a flat with a group of serial killers for several months by performing acrobatics in slutty outfits on the beach. moral of the story? be kind of heart, thicc of ass.

“In the wake of a near-tragic assassination attempt of a widely reviled figure, some people who loathe him may be wrestling with or suppressing emotions that feel contradictory. But the notions that Trump is dangerous, and that attempting to murder him is also dangerous, are not in tension with each other. The ethics and the practicality of liberal democracy both affirm a strong norm against political violence. […] Even though American history has seen a long litany of murders and attempted murders — Gerald Ford survived two attempts on his life within a few weeks of each other — this one feels scarier. That is because our social peace has grown more precarious. An assassination attempt on Donald Trump is a far more dangerous thing than an attempt to kill Mitt Romney would have been a dozen years ago, or Al Gore a dozen years before that. And while the responsibility for maintaining social peace and the norm of non-violence is shared equally across the political spectrum, the blame for its decay is not. Trump stokes and feeds upon a lust for violence. He possesses a demagogue’s skill for manipulating his supporters’ most elemental emotions. As a private citizen he exploited a white woman’s rape in Central Park to demand the execution of innocent young men of color. He continues to call for various critics to be executed for their disloyalty. When a maniac attempted to kill Nancy Pelosi and smashed the skull of her husband, he cheered it on. He continues to glorify and promise to free the criminals who assaulted police in the attack on the Capitol in an attempt to seize an unelected second term. It is not Trump’s fault that someone tried to kill him. It is absolutely his fault that it has immediately set off a widespread fear of reprisals and chaos.”

Trump Shooting: He Must Be Defeated by Ballots, Not Bullets
Look, I can’t wait for the guy to die and be gone forever. I just want him to die in prison.
And he’s still a Fascist. Don’t let that get obscured in all of this. He’s still the same wannabe dictator, the same hateful liar, the same corrupt traitor, the same 34 time convicted felon, the same rapist.
Nothing about him has changed. Nothing about Project 2025 has changed.
Obviously, the national conversation is going to be focused on this for the near future, and we can’t forget or minimize that he remains a serious and dire threat to America, and the world.
