Aldrig (BE) is a group that was formed by ex-Soul Grip members Gert Stals & Joren De Roeck. Musically unifying sounds from black metal, sludge & post metal; combined with visceral, layered vocals, Aldrig creates an avant-garde sonic landscape that reigns cathartic. Both anointing and abrasive, their first record “Yağmur” is a vessel for grief.

Lyrically the record encapsulates a character falling through time and space, awakening in different urban dimensions over and over again, chasing something it cannot ever find. Like a blinding light in the night sky, there is an unabsolved longing in Aldrig’s music, a lament for liberation, but there is no liberation, only further confinement.

FAWN LIMBS & NADJA 'VESTIGIAL SPECTRA' (WVR 057)

“Even though both bands have their own signature tones and pace, both have wandered off to the other end of the spectrum occasionally, and while the match up might seem strange upon first glance, the composition process was rather quick and smooth, maybe to everyone’s surprise. Done via file sharing in the middle of the plague, the results of these two worlds colliding are nothing short of lush and fluent; most of the time you can’t tell anymore where the other begins and where the other ends, thus the collaborational aspect clearly flourishes as it should. What started out as a few messages sent back and forth, resulted in a genreless, mind-bending monolith of an album that Vestigial Spectra is. Vestigial Spectra carries both Fawn Limbs and Nadja’s own signatures, but burns bright to exist as an entity completely of its own. The songs and the album as a whole ebbs and flows between unestablished parameters that are as surprising as they are anticipated. Taking influence from a variety of styles ranging from grindcore to doom and from noise to ambient, Vestigial Spectra blends its components seamlessly to produce an entirely novel aural field that simultaneously is both a dynamic and thought-out craft and a wall of noise-esque seemingly directionless leviathan. Whether slow, fast, or free of pulse and time, every single second on the album is as important as the ones preceding and following it, making Vestigial Spectra first and foremost a cohesive and consistent entirety.

Thematically, Vestigial Spectra studies astronomical spectroscopy – in which scientists use a spectograph to determine the make-up of stellar bodies and planets amongst other things – and its inherent relation to human nature. Mirroring these practices and standards from one another makes up for layered lyrical approach that can read as scientific pathos as easily as a metaphorically charged burst of emotion. There are three types of spectra – absorption, continuous, and emission – which corresponds to the album’s structure and sonic being.”

RORCAL HLGBLS OUT NOW

Almost exactly 11 years after seeing Rorcal for the first time in a - now demolished - rehearsal space in Karlsruhe we are glad to announce the release of the monolithic HELIOGABALUS on triple 12" vinyl for the first time - being released in 2010 on CD format only. This also includes the 30 minute 'Prelude to Heliogabalus' featuring Music for the Space.

'Going right out of inferno, HLGBLS is a 70 minutes song which illustrates the decadence of the Roman emperor, Heliogabalus. This time Rorcal is going ways further than before, with crushing doom parts, including long hellish droning fields. This album is scary, really aggressive, completely gloomy. Be sure, you never heard something like that, and you never will. If you’re looking for something really extreme, this is exactly what you need.'

It goes without saying that this will be a one time only pressing - the band will get some copies to sell at shows - beside that this is the place to get it - don't sleep!

ABOUT THE PRICE:

Normally we don't feel the need to explain the prices of our products but in this case we will as it's an extraordinary production. The total production price is above 14.000€ this is all due to the packaging (triple gatefold sleeve, outer sleeve slipcase all in inside/out, embossing & varnish finish) plus of course the rising production costs in general). Meaning we need to at least sell 300 copies to break even. The offered price is a compromise between a fair price while still being economically viable.

Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden sludge doom quintet WALK THROUGH FIRE returns with their third studio opus entitled VÅR AVGRUND (Our Abyss).

With 7 tracks and a total time of 75 minutes recorded this record is meant to be listened to in one piece – dragging you deeper into the abyss. Every chord, every snare hits the spot and is as important as the space in between. 6 years after ‘Hope is Misery’ WALK THROUGH FIRE prove they have found their own unique style of writing slow and extreme music.

The album is the first with lyrics in Swedish, with themes mainly about the inevitability of tragedy and suffering in life – both as individuals, and as a collective. And these themes are perfectly visualized by long-time friend of the band, Göran Nilsson (Hydra Illustration).

VÅR AVGRUND will be released on March 27, 2020 via Wolves & Vibrancy Records and Bloated Veins in a limited edition of 500 copies (400 black / 100 white marbled) double 12” heavyweight vinyl packed in a heavy gatefold sleeve.

After some delays and various nuisances along the way, Fawn Limbs are truly delighted to finally unveil the "Trek Through a Black Maw" compilation 12", including the "Languor" and "Thrum" EPs, as well as the standalone track "Love Will Strangle You Forever" on a single slab of clear vinyl. Featuring brand new and extended artwork by Eeli Helin, and being mastered for vinyl by James Plotkin, "Trek Through A Black Maw" will be released on Roman Numeral Records and Wolves And Vibrancy Records, with exclusive versions through each. The vinyl tails the "Towing Heads" seven inch from last year, and preceeds the upcoming vinyl releases of their debut full-length and newest EP, later this spring.

We are glad to welcome Glacier from Massachusetts to the family!

Glacier is a five-piece instrumental band based in Boston, MA whose music fully embodies their name: a crushingly loud and unrelenting force.

Since their inception, Glacier has played heavily throughout the Northeastern U.S. with friends such as Astronoid, Big Brave, Black Pyramid, Pray for Sound, Lume, Au Revoir, Shy Low, Set and Setting, thisquietarmy, Infinity Shred, InAeona and many more. In the process they have built a reputation for being an honest and hardworking band in the community.

In 2017, Glacier released “Though Your Sins Be As Scarlet, They Shall Be White as Snow; Though They be Red Like Crimson, They Shall Be As Wool.” which is available in the US through the Deathwish Inc. e-store and in Europe through Kapitän Platte. The record was well received throughout the international instrumental community and received favorable reviews from Echoes And Dust, Arctic Drones, and The Sound of Boston to name a few. The album was voted into the Listeners Choice Top 50 Albums of 2017 by Post Rock and listed in the top 50 Favorite Albums of 2017 published by Arctic Drones.

Glacier returns in 2019 with their strongest effort to date. Simply titled “No Light Ever”.

Heathe is a project born in Aalborg, Denmark, with a core of one single person and an ever changing lineup.

Taking its starting point in dissonance and endless repetitions, Heathe conjure massive and overwhelming, sonic walls of reverb trenched and metallic sounding noise collages, where desperate screams shrouded in colossal aggressive energy bursts reverberate in an endless darkness.

In the spring of 2016 heathe released its demo tape on the small Aalborg-based label Danish Vaishyas and in May 2019 their debut album, “ON THE TOMBSTONES; THE SYMBOLS ENGRAVED”, will see the light of day. On the album Heathe slowly moves from breathtaking blackened doom to enervating and noisy hypno-rock. The record will be released by german-based label Wolves and Vibrancy digitally and on vinyl.

In a live setting Heathe unfolds as a 7-12 piece orchestra, where strings, horns, guitars, drums and organs paint trance inducing and massive soundscapes in which eternity and the present melt together in an almost ceremoniel experience.

Arakk’s first full length record, “Under Søvnen”, had been a long time coming until it was released May 7, 2018.

Now almost a year later the approx. 45 minutes of patient and grandiose doom about despair, neglect and longing will finally be out on vinyl via Wolves and Vibrancy Records.

The instrumental parts were, for the most part, recorded at Angry Music Studios in collaboration with Tobias Munk Tønder, while vocals, synths, guest vocal and -saxophone were recorded in collaboration with Aske Øland Kjærgaard from the band, who has also done the mixing of the record.

The mastering was done by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.

A pushing borders and punk ethics driven experiment touching noise-rock, post-hardcore and screamo elements 'For us, creating music is more a natural thing and not just the technical control of an instrument. After adding ARAKK from Copenhagen to the roster we're excited to announce another outstanding band from Denmark.

Heathe is a trance inducing blackened noise-rock outfit, from Aalborg.

An eight piece consisting of reverb trenched horns, distant screams, massive walls of guitar noise, screeching organ drones, and repetitive heavy drums echoing in an eternal darkness.

'On the Tombstones; The Symbols Engraved' consists of one 40-minute song crawling from majestic doom to repetitive hypno-rock and will be released in April / May 2019. More details soon!

Arakk is a Copenhagen-based band playing a mixture of doom, post and drone metal, but the music is also influenced by a lot of other rather different genres, such as electronica, noise, ambient and classical music.

This reflects one of the basic ideas behind the band’s music: that it's more about making powerful, heavy and most of all honest music, than of making music that necessarily fits into a particular genre or theme in terms of lyrics and the feelings expressed.

The album 'Under Søvnen' will be released on 12" vinyl in April / May 2019 and we will also the digital distribution.
