completing one of your best seasons with barça, being the second-highest scorer and top assist provider in all competitions. do you think you're arriving at your best?

yes, since my injury, i think i've been going through a period of needing time to find my feet again. i needed to feel that confidence, too, and i think that's been the case this year. in the end, despite being a midfielder, i'm a player who gets in a lot and i try to make the most of every opportunity i have, which is why i've scored so many goals. i also miss having such a consistent season as the ones i've been having, and for me, it's a joy to have been able to find that consistency again, to make a difference in what i was already doing, to continue scoring, to continue assisting, to create chances.

in the end, that's kind of my game. i'm very happy to be here, and i hope this euros will also show that version of me.

and what would you say are the team's expectations for this euros? do you feel there's an internal feeling that it's an obligation to go for the title, or is it better to take it game by game?

no, for me it's a mistake to position ourselves like i did in the final now. it's a mistake because there are so many good national teams, very good opponents, teams with very good players, very good teams too. so, step by step, starting with the group stage. portugal, belgium, and italy are tough teams to play against. they're going to demand our best, so our job has to be that, to reach our best, which will surely bring us closer to winning, but step by step.
