Akira: We finally got the hd version of a classic Tael Loved since it came out. EVERSION!! It's honestly as fun as Tael remembered it. read below if you want our more indepth thoughts as I'm going to get go indepth and technically spoilering things.
Alright for those sticking by, Lemme tell you about Eversion. Basically it was a 2d platformer here you control this flower buddy Zee Tee on his quest to save a princess, pretty vanilla stuff, until you come across the game's main mechanic, Eversion.
Basically you'll find these spots through out the eight seven worlds where you can peel hop between Layers of reality which will change the elements of that world (ex: clouds can be used as platforms, enemies will walk slower.) This for the first few layers seem fine until you start noticing that with each layer peeled away, things seem less and less jolly. The colors get less vibrant, the enemies lose the smiles and the pep to their step (even losing their freaking legs), and even the world itself starts to deteriorate, and that's when you get to layer 5....
The world starts starts turning into a nightmare land, wilted flowers into deadly thorns, now motionless enemies turn slithering monsters, and even this hand like tendrils popping out of pits to try and claw at you. even the ROCKS become monsters It really becomes a challenge. Now a days the idea of a cute game turning out to be a horror game in disguise as been done so much, but back then it was an interesting thing to play and still holds up well. it can be a bit of a pain challenge wise in the later worlds but I'd say it's worth it. If you're curious I'd say go for the steam version (because we're pretty sure any links to the original freeware version are gone at this point) and give the game a run through!

A month of Riichi Mahjong
Tael: Well it's been about a month since we decided to make it our resolution to learn the game and man it's been something. Honestly as expected it take a bit to get full on grasp of it, but it's really become one of our favorite games to play at this point. the highs and lows really make it exciting whether you're at the top or hoping for a comeback. Heck with all our talk on one server we even managed to get a bud into the game and another considering it. Honestly if you're someone that's been wanting to get into the game, but has been nervous due to how complex and daunting it seems. The best bit of advice I can give is just throw yourself in and just learn from experience. there's several ways to play the game online, most of which can help figure out the basics. More so there are plenty of videos on the game that really can help learn the game to boot! Just go and give it a shot if you've been wanting to try it out!
