not being straight might be one of the best things that happened to me. being “different” made me part of an amazing community and brought me to the most important people in my life. I’ve learned so much about the struggles of my people and other minorities. I’m more aware of what’s going on in the world and how small things affect people’s lives. I’m so glad that I’m not straight.
