Day 6, Part 1

1. Started out the day with Emergen-C and a plain bagel because Sugar Butt woke up sick (probably because of all the PUTTING HIS HANDS IN HIS MOUTH AFTER TOUCHING NEW YORK LIKE I TOLD HIM NOT TO)

2. Popped a few Motrin and got him feeling well enough to do the Empire State Building :)

3. This was a nice sight to see (FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE BOARDING THE ELEVATOR). Not bitter.

4. We were happy here because we got to board the elevator!

5-10. We loved taking photos on top of the observation deck!!

Day 5, Part 2

1. Nathan took us to The Meatball Shop in Brooklyn and it was my most favorite meal while we were in New York.

2. This photo was blurry because I was overflowing with excitement and wanted to eat my amazing dinner! I got chicken meatballs on top of mashed potatoes with garlic parmesean creme sauce and roast veggies! Doesn’t get any better, folks.

3. Some sweet street art in Williamsburg.

4. VAN LEEWEN ARTISAN ICE CREAM. Need. Every. Day. Also it was in the 30s while we walked there but everyone knows it’s never too cold for ice cream :)

5. Our treats! We got a hot fudge Sunday with French vanilla sweet cream and raspberry compote and almonds!! Nate got Rocky Road.

6&7. Walked out onto a pier and saw these beautiful sights!!

8. Oh, Nate. Sweet noble land angel Nate. He let us stay with him during our week and was the most gracious host and friend. We are team Nate forever.

Day 5, Part 1

1. We started the day off with a 2pm Phantom of the Opera show!! Hello sleeping in!!

2&3. Though our seats were in the nosebleed section and we paid way too much for them, the show was incredible and we sung along to every song!

4. Post-show smiles!! On Cloud 9 over here!!

5. “oadway’s longest unning musical!”

6&7. Bloomingdales in downtown that had a Magnolia Bakery!! It’s always been my little girl dream to go to Bloomingdales in New York City and the cupcake of glory made it that much better!!

8&9. Just a couple-a kids out on the town!

10. Sam was a bit more partial to the bakery than Bloomingdales 😂

Day 4, Part 2

1. Just a girl and her Cheesecake.

2-6. Jewels of The Met.

7. Jewel of my heart ❤

8. Met up with my older brother at Chelsea Market again and I got amazing street tacos!

9. After dinner, my brother took us to a basement nook that had ping pong and foosball and pool and it was so fun to have quality time with him while playing :)

Day 4, Part 1

1. Had an unforgettable morning so I wanted to capture my happy face!

2&3. The view from the M train station; we took this over the Brooklyn Bridge quite often! I liked it better than the underground trains because of the view!

4&5. We took the train to Little Italy and Emy and Alex took us to an incredible Italian bakery and I bought a cannoli because when in Rome...er...New York...

(not pictured: the most amazing pizza I've ever had. If ever you're in Little Italy make your first stop at Rosarita and order the house special. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

7&8. After eating our weight (and more) in Italian food, we went to The Met! It was bigger than I could have ever imagined! We didn't even hit a third of it...definitely devoting multiple days to it next time.

9. Emy and Alex were such a delight unto our souls. It was so nice to spend time in their company.

10. The Egyptian collection was my favorite!

Day 3, Part 2

1. Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree

2. View of the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink, which was beautiful but an actual joke (the thing was $80 for an 80x80 patch of ice I think not good sir.)

3. Always waiting for the train. This night I accidentally left my purse at the station. Took us two hours to track it but when we were reunited it still had all my cash and cards in it! What even?! Thanks, Lord!!

4. The subway life sure is a *ahem* cozy life.

Day 3, Part 1

1. I think I like this city.

2&3. Chelsea Market was a thing of beauty. Food artisans and craftsmen and pop up shops oh my!

4. This was one of the italian restaurants at Chelsea Market. Every shop is basically a "take away only" place, so we all grabbed our respective lunches and walked outside to find a curb to eat! I got sausage stuffed girasoli with a parmigiana creme sauce and parsley and I died and went to heaven.

5&6. Then we met up with Gage and Kendall and wandered around downtown Chelsea with hot coffee because it was freeeeeeezing!

7. Central Park!!

8&9. Rented bikes and accidentally biked almost the entire perimeter of Central Park...

10. The best part of this trip is you❤.

New York Day 2, Part 2

1. 🎶Where you lead, I will follow…🎶

2. The stank is real with this one.

3. This was in Times Square; some artsy fartsy kids set up a “wishing wall” 🙄 and Lovecake wrote his down 😭💕.

4. Times Square lights!! There were too many people so we hid in the corner.

5. They’re beginning to set up the stage for the NYE ball drop!!

6. We paid $50 for this meal because Jennifer Lawrence told us to. I know what you’re thinking…“that looks great for a first course!” Oh, it was. But it was also the middle and last course too so by the end of the night we were eating last night’s Chinese food over the sink like a couple of homeless people. JLaw, totally get how you’re that petite now.

7. It was “Mega-Free-Monday at the PIT (People’s Improv Theater) and seeing this hour long ever-morphing sketch was spectacular.
