“I-I have to go- Like now- I have to get back to work.”

>[He was shuffling closer to the door, looking back at his coworker with a look of almost fear.]

“Don’t tell him I was here.”

>[Protag groans, placing a hand on his forehead and rubbing his temples.]

“What the fuck is wrong with this place?? I need this job but- But I don’t- I need it but I don’t.”

>[Protag finally stands up, leaning on his coworkers desk. His head throbbed with stress.]

“You were bleeding and-“

>[His words cut off, his mind was clouded with a thick fog of confusion and the overwhelming weight of work.]

“I know but- Your phone was ringing and you didn’t answer it, I got concerned and peeked into your office!”

>[He attempted to explain himself, although still a little shaken up by what occurred.]

“What’s going on? Who is the Bryce character and what happened to you?”

>[He pushed for answers, inching closer as if desperately trying to pry into the situation.]

“What the hell happened???”

>[Not only was Protag still grappling this whole situation, but he was frustrated. This job was already difficult enough and now he knows that there’s even more information being possibly withheld from him.]

>[Protag continued listening in, controlling his breathing. A sense of relief washing over his body that relaxed his muscles. He almost let out a long sigh, but just as he was about to, he contained it. He didn’t want to get caught. Thank God he was still alive. As much as he didn’t want to admit it, he couldn’t imagine still working here without his coworker.]

>[Protag shifted uncomfortably under the desk, attempting to get a better look at the others while being as quiet as possible.]

“What…?”

>[But he can’t spend much time inspecting it before the voices got closer. He had to find a place to hide, fast. In a moment of panic, he dropped to the ground and quickly crawled under the desk, pressing his body against the blind spot as much as possible as he waited for a safe opportunity to leave.]

>[Protag felt his sweat turn cold and heart rate spike as he observed the scene. A choked yell strains his throat as he stumbled back, covering his mouth in shock. How did this happen? What happened? So many thoughts raced across his mind. He barely collected himself before his feet began running over to his body.]

“What the fuck?! Hey!”

>[Protag’s shaking hands attempted to shake Coworker’s body. His lungs pushing out air and inhaling it faster and faster as he panicked .]

“What the fuck happened?! What’s wrong with you???”

>[He demands an answer illogically. He didn’t even think of the possibility that he was dead, or maybe he just didn’t believe it.]
