I created this presentation from the information i have collected and the genral ideas we have discussed in our groups.
Taking inspiration from the past workshops, creating and seeing different interactions other students had with a more technological approach to online workshops. i have took some tips and created a simple but cute athletic for our age group to be able to follow and read up when doing and completing our ecology themed task.
We decided to present our workshop through a PowerPoint presentation, as it holds that nessary form of clarity and form when wanting our group ideas and themes to come across easy and simple for young kids to follow.
Hear are some screen grabs of the presentation video

Paul merrick
Merrick's practice is combining painting with sculpture and the made with the ready-made. Mix media being a huge motive throughout his work, taking different elements and practices of art into consideration throughout his work and exploration. Merrick continued that interrogation of painting and process, and that idea of his work evolved from working exclusively with oil paint and two-dimensions to gradually introducing new materials. Using (gaffa tape, furniture, scrap metal, lighting, gloss paint and furniture) in order to investigate and perform colour, shape and form through his art pieces.

Here i started to research into small workshop videos, mainly kid based to gain a sense of inspiration and idea of how to create and produce a workshop similar.
In this case our theme bieng ecology, i tried to look at nature, animals and plant based activities.
Here in this video they use both plants and flowers and with watching the full video throughout it is both age appropriate and doable.

Week 5
Here in week 5
We have been arranged into group 1 as well as having sub groups within the lager group. We have decided to go with the theme Ecology, ecology is based around the knowledge of organisms and how they interact with the environment around them. Through this specific brief we are looking at the seaton delaval hall and choosing ecology as our theme out of the four. We have been discussing general ideas around the workshop and decided our age group would be from 8-12, so fairly younger children. We found it would be alot more beneficial and accessible to create and perform for an audience of younger age. Having looked into the ideas of animals or terrarium. That idea of looking into a fun and practical working space for younger children and combining that through a filmed/ digital workshop.
Here are some screen grabs of the work so far.

Here I created another short video to get used to the idea of creating art through video , using the same app -videoshop and using my voice as well as recording key parts and tips as a guid for the task.
With our theme being around automatic drawing and freedom I wanted my video to highlight this and show you are able to experiment freely .

Here i created a small 3 min example of how our workshop video could be like, i used an app called Videoshop and made an example task. It was fairly easy and not time consuming at all. Me and Katie both hope to perform the same task and combined both videos of us together showing the process as well as trying to clearly present each step individually through the video.

Here I did a small experimented as an “ugly sketchbook” example. Wanting to capture the idea of drawing with both hands highlighting the dominant and lesser. I used a pencil and sketched out a rough 3 min portrait with both hands and was able to see the comparison of both. Surprisingly I found it fascinating and quite therapeutic to be able to create art using both my hands rather than my dominant which is my left hand. Overall I liked how my sketch with my non-dominant hand turned out. That idea of freedom and being able to personally create within my preferences and exploration without having that perfect mindset when drawing, which is one of my struggles through art.

Here Katie found a video which we both thought would be a great idea to explore further and highlights automatic drawing perfectly.
