People really do assume the FromSoft formula is just "super hard boss fights" but really it's Tall Ladies, Hidetaka Miyazaki's barely contained masochistic death fetish, incredibly hard but usually fair boss fights, community graffiti, annoying rat, even more annoying dog, walk walk fashion baby, poison swamp, bottomless pit, Large Jovial Dad Figure, jolly cooperation, Berserk Reference, and slapstick comedy.

The wonderful thing about humans is that we can work a lot more than we need to for base survival. We can use that excess energy to care for family and do science and make art.
The terrible thing about humans is that we also know how to force other people to work extra, when they don't want to, for little benefit to themselves and plenty of benefit to us. And, though we all know it's evil, a few of us choose to apply that knowledge against the rest.
