Despite her outwards appearance of >:I, Mav is honestly a rather inviting person. The way that Rex, the former Alpha of Mav's pack, brought her in and gave her a place to stay will never be lost on Mav and she aims to give that same place to other lost souls.

Her trust is a bit harder to win, but once you've won her trust you have a great ally on your side. Lose that trust, however, and you've got a Raptor hunting you down anytime she catches you in her sight.

Mav/Raptor's pack shares the naming convention of dinosaurs and bird species, so that's why you have a Pack that has members named

Rex (T-Rex, Former Pack Leader before Raptor) Raptor (Velociraptor, but also raptors are a kid of bird too) Sparrow (Bird) (and plenty more members!)

and then their Ripperdoc is named Moreau (Island of Dr. Moreau reference, is a mad scientist basically, is a huge nerd), but is lovingly called Dolittle by the animals (Because Dolittle is a doctor who talks to Animals)

Raptor, believe it or not, doesn't hate corpos! She understands that, as an Animal, the corpos may view them as means to an end or just bodyguards. The relationship with corpos and the Animals is one that's conditional, as long as corpos need guards, Mavis understands that her and her Pack will be used for that.

If anything, the thing that confuses her most about corpos is how happy many of them are to just betray their own team, their own friends, their own families. Mav learned her way of life with the Animals, a Pack where you shared the same living arrangements, where you ate together, fought together, supported each other, and valued what it meant to be a part of a community. To see people act so selfishly, like some corporate monolith, it disgusts her.

Raptor puts on a brave face for herself and her Pack. Whenever she's in pain, whether that be emotional or physical, she hides it the very best she can. She'll hide that pain in order to scare anyone trying to hurt her as well. Mavis grew accustomed to hiding her pain as she grew into her role in her Pack, as she knows when she is scared or hurt, it'll send her Pack into a frenzy and she's trying to keep her Pack acting rational.

Mavis enjoys goth metal!! I could see her being a fan of Sirenia, liking songs such as this!! Otherwise, she's just a metal fan in general. She likes her songs about the apocalypse or some writer's crumbling mental state, she's not picky! She's not a big pop music fan, especially hyperpop. Hyperpop has Mav usually tearing her hair out or wanting to slam her head against the wall.

Also: Mav has been in, and enjoyed being in, several mosh pits.

Troubling.

As a Pack Leader and a member of The Animals, she's an active part of the concrete jungle of Night City. When V comes around shaking up gangs, corporations, and the rest of Night City's sinister foundations, that makes Raptor's ultimate job of keeping her Pack safe that much harder. When you've got some mercenary single-handedly ruining the sense of stability that gangs have, it becomes a problem that Raptor has never had to deal with before. She couldn't care less about the Relic or Arasaka or the NUSA, her duty is to The Animals. No matter the V, she does start out viewing them as a headache, or, depending on how V dealt with The Animals within the plot of the game, an enemy.

If Raptor sees you as an enemy, it will take a very long time to gain her or her Pack's trust. If she sees you as a headache, though, she may let you near her Pack. Just try not to get on her bad side.

Ohohoh! Foxy just couldn't help it, he was programmed different from the rest! He was a pugnacious pirate with a poorly pocket-sized pittance of patience in his body! HA! Say that five times fast! Pugnacious pirate poorly pocket-sized pittance patience pugnacious--AGH! He just couldn't hold it back! T'was in a Captain's best interest to explore, to say 'LAND-HO!' to another adventure in his humble abode of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria!

Now, it deeply saddened ye favorite swashbuckler when the first-mates and navigators and boatswains all had to go home, tummies full of pizza and mind full of dreams of adventures with Foxy and his friends, but this also meant...he got to move about even more! He got to speak to his friends about the day's exploits and all the treasures they found at the prize counter.

But, um, as we've previously discussed...Foxy has little patience, and hates having to wait in such a crammed space while the whole rest of the pizzeria was open to explore. It's just that, eh...he may have sort of forgotten that Janelle was still doin' her rounds and could see him move and get him in big trouble, but ah, trouble is a pirate's middle name and alas he's not to be afraid of trouble and oh he's ramblin' like an ol' sea dog agai--

flashlight  held  tightly  within  her  hands  ,    janelle  makes  her  usual  rounds  of  the  night  ,    the  slightest  exhaustion  wearing  heavy  on  her  but  it  won't  be  long  until  6am  rolls  around  .        never  having  been  one  for  the  graveyard  shift  .        not  since  she  was  in  high  school    &*    depression  just  starting  creeping  on  her  .        keeping  her  awake  at  all  hours  of  the  night  .        her  mom  used  to  get  mad  at  her  ,    actually  .        for  being  up  when  she  would  wake  for  work  .

a  quick  peek  at  the  animatronics  ,    cause  according  to  the  training  tape  ,    these  were  proprietary  technology  she  would  have  to  take  care  of  .        the  pizzeria  is  larger  than  what  it  looked  like  on  the  outside  ,    the  multitude  of  party  rooms  along  with  the  largest  prize  counter  she's  seen  .        soft  music  heard  stopping  to  admire  it  for  a  moment  before  moving  on  .        she's  about  to  head  back  to  the  office  when  she  hears  what  she  swears  is  the  whirring  of  one  of  the  animatronics  .        internally  debating  on  if  she  should  even  go  check  that  out  .        but  janelle  is  nothing  if  not  thorough  .        not  like  she  would  have  to  do  a  deep  inspection  of  the  animatronic  just  look  at  it  .

the  flashlight  passing  upon  the  fox    &*    noticing  he  was  in  a  different  position  .        ❝    what  the  fuck  .    ❞        softly  spoken  under  her  breath  ,    only  to  come  to  the  rational  thought  that  the  night  was  finally  getting  to  her  .        ❝    goodnight  foxy  .    ❞        sounding  almost  pleased  with  herself  as  she  takes  the  liberty  of  walking  away  .

"You're a Nobody? Honor to meet you, Odysseus." If Raptor was any closer, she would have been tousling Beth's hair, but given the distance? Eh, she'll settle for flashing a snaggletoothed smirk down to the shorter miscreant. Given the quick-witted, silver tongue in Raptor's mouth, she already spat out a rebuttal before Beth could get a word in. "Did that go over your head? Most things do, shortie."

The snarling smirk on her face gradually lit up as she dealt with shit talk from a has-been! This was the fuckin' best! Finally, someone who could could dish it just like it was served to her! Raptor could smell the desperation of a former cult classic rockstar, their types were always the most self-loathing. Perfectly fitting for Beth!

"Vale?" A can of beer was tossed haphazardly across the space between them, providing Raptor a moment to think about the people she's been dealing with as of late. That's not a cop's name, for sure. Not an Animal, she knows her Animals. Must've been a merc--Ah! Shit! That one?! What the hell did Beth want to know about that merc?!

"When I asked Hands for the best, he sent me that." Of course, 'that' meant Vale. The hyperactive pup that got sent to assist Mavis' pack with getting rid of some Maelstrom fucks that owed her money. "I wanted an apex predator to get rid of some enemies. They insisted on pacifism, but it still got results." Raptor's grip tightened in her fists as she remembered how they butchered the mission. They didn't fucking respect what it meant to lead a Pack and yet they were good at their job.

"Why do you want to know about them? How'd you meet V?"

This chick was funny.

Beth couldn't help the smirk that graced her lips, nor the absolute lack of stiffness in her limbs; she didn't come for a fight, but if they started, she'd finish it. Or try, at least. She was already angry and annoyed at the fact that she'd had to trawl deeper into the city than she usually did. It brought back memories of music, sex, drugs, fighting, and blood. Funny, really — those were the best days of her life.

There was no shot to her pride in the way Raptor didn't recognise her. She'd stopped being truly relevant when she stopped making music. Now, bar the rare interview with or without Entropy, or the equally as rare magazine interview, or paparazzi snapping pictures in the street, she was under the radar. Refusing to buy into the corporate now. Like Kerry, bless his soul. Or Jack.

Eyes glanced at the beer selection, brands she knew well and preferred. Growing up rough back in the day meant you got to love the cheaper things in life. A motto Beth tried to live by. It's how her wealth lasted this long. Finally, after a moment and a glance to the animals glaring her way, her gaze met Raptor's.

"I'm a nobody these days, mate," A shrug, genuine in that sentiment. In her mind she was. To thousands, especially across the pond, she was still as relevant as ever. "I'm Beth. You know what I am, who I was. You look stupid, it doesn't mean you are," She held a hand out for a beer to be chucked her way. "I'm here to talk about Vale. What you've got 'em doing. You have time to talk, so don't try pulling that shit."

📿Staci was raised Catholic! He was baptized, but let me tell you, when he got to about high school is when he stopped going to church. So no Confirmation for the Stace Man! He knows some hymns, some prayers, and can navigate his way through a bible. That's why he's very familiar with going 'Look at this shit' with the Project, because he grew up with relatively familiar attitudes.

😨When Staci was a kid, he was afraid of heights! He got over this fear when he was at a swimming pool in Helena and was dared by other kids to jump from the high dive. As an adult, he loves heights, as seen by him flying the helicopter for the sheriff's department!

🎡STACI PLAYS IN A HOCKEY BEER LEAGUE IN HOPE COUNTY. There's no indoor rink, but when it gets cold enough out, he'd get a group of guys together and play 3-on-3 on the ice. He's tried to teach Hurk and Sharky how to play hockey. There is a keyword in that sentence. The keyword being TRY.
