BACK TO THE FUTURE: PLOT DROP

As done every month, C.A.R.M.A’s Research & Development team delivers a supply of “power pills” to its cured agents and for those in Pansaw Police Department. It’s an ordinary delivery...

Except, these are not the usual batch of power pills. 

A H.A.M.E.R agent undercover within C.A.R.M.A’s research team altered this latest dosage with some negative side effects that Pansaw will soon discover. 

While activating their abilities, these pills will also cause the following: 

Nosebleeds

Headaches

Nausea and/or vomiting 

Seizures

The symptoms will worsen with every active use of powers. More extreme cases may result in coma or even death. 

C.A.R.M.A is completely unaware of this development, though it’s only a matter of time before reports of tainted power pills come flooding in. 

The question is, how many will be affected before it’s too late to warn the public?

I don’t understand the taken powers list. Are you saying that only one character in the entire rp can have one power? And there can be no repeats? Or are the only unavailable powers are negation which is the only one actually under the unavailable header.

Both! The Taken Powers list is all the powers currently occupied by characters in game. We don’t allow any repeat powers. The unavailable powers are also unavailable for application.

How active is this role play?

Hi anon! Our group’s activity does range a bit, depending on a few factors. Frankly, there are some days where the dash doesn’t move, BUT we are all very active in plot discussions and OOC communication, and we have a great group of folks who’ve stuck around for almost a year!

Our “Back to the Future” event has officially begun!

Event related threads and open starters may now be posted until the event ends at 12pm EST on Monday, February 15th. Keep an eye out on our #wotnaevent tag as there may be a plot drop or two coming up! 

Please make sure to tag all open event starters as #wotnastarter and #wotnaevent. Do not use these tags for closed starters. Players should refrain from posting non-event open starters (closed starters for normal threads will be allowed during the event). 

Players may choose whether they will be putting normal threads on hold for the duration of our event; please communicate with your partners or in our OOC blog if you will be prioritizing event threads for the next two weeks. Any characters who are NOT participating in this event for any reason are strongly recommended to keep up normal threads, both current and starting new ones, during the event to maintain activity. 

All acceptances will be paused for the event’s duration. Given that our event doesn’t feel like a great starting point for new characters, we feel it is best to hold off on introducing new ones into the game at this time. Our next round of acceptances will take place on Monday, February 15th around 9pm EST.

It’s up to personal preference! Players can choose whether they want to keep non-event related threads going during event time, or if they’d rather put those on pause to focus on event threads for the duration. 

EDIT: Those who have characters not participating in the event are strongly recommended to continue or start new non-event threads in the present day in order to maintain activity.

Happy Sunday, players!

Our Back to the Future event starts tomorrow (2/1) at 12pm EST. If you have not yet created or SUBMITTED your event bio links to the main for review, please do so today. We are creating a masterlist of event bios for everyone’s access to plot out connections and threads. Players must received a confirmation that their bios have been received and approved by the admins before they can start event threads. 

A few updates from some questions we received: 

While this event does affect everyone in game, we will allow players to exclude some characters from the event for whatever reason (i.e., character is too new in the game, character would have left Pansaw either permanently or temporarily, character has died in the last few years, etc.) 

Regardless if your character will be participating in game or not, we still require future bios for them. This is to give us and other players some details on what they’ve been up and where they are now.

BIOGRAPHY

Third child to Danish immigrants to South Africa. Mother died in 2013. Younger sister of Kaspar Ildstrom, has four other brothers. All siblings metahumans.

Father (Christopher) founder of a private military organization she rose through the ranks in. tenacious, competitive, and highly skilled she was always suited to command.

Growing up on a cattle ranch with five brothers means she also has no qualms about anything rough and tumble, as the Ildstrom clan a rowdy bunch.

All the siblings worked as mercenaries for Velentr Industries for some time with varying specialties.

Her elder brother had a horrific accident five years ago and has only kept in touch distantly as he is chronically allergic to pity (she thinks he’s an idiot). Fondness and exasperation colour their relationship in equal parts. Co-conspirators on so many pranks and hijinx.

Speaks Danish, Afrikaans, and English (minimum).
