Got my physics test back! 72% which is B (cut offs were 40% C, 60% B and 80% A, as its weighted grades) And got all A's (3) on my physics freefall assignment (a perfect score :D)

Finished my physics and Math unit tests for this term!! I had fun but I don't think I did amazing..

Everyday reminding myself that Progress is not linear, and I am allowed to miss a due date if I have to, and I can ask for an extension and I can take a day to just lay there and reassess every choice I have made and I can change my mind and choose a new path and I can do anything I want because free will is amazing

Me, explaining to my mum that I was really stressed earlier and nearly broke down crying over how much I had to do but now I feel a lot better because I completed a whole assignment in 2 hours (several pages of physics) and things don't look so hopeless now:

My mother; interrupting: "It's because your period is coming, you're fine"

Me, instantly in a bad mood all over again undoing all my hard work: "Geez thanks, I'm sure thats the reason for all my stress not the 7 assignments all due in the next few weeks and the three unit tests rapidly approaching, sure."

In other news, I'm grounded :D

(And no, my period is not coming for another 2 weeks, ffs.)

Recently, because of the current governments' corruption, I lost my guaranteed graduate research position due to cuts and defunding. It would have been for the next two years starting this fall. I was so excited about the projects (helping advisor with surveying and researching ecology/ populations of specific declining bird species, and their conservation) while obtaining my Masters and getting back in school.

I'm heartbroken because, (although it's small in the grand scheme of the wrongs on earth today) it feels like a smack in the face to have the government and its' current cult followers basically say "you are not important. What you do with your career and time and everything you dedicate yourself to is fake news and hoaxes" whilst simultaneously destroying the earth and knowing the irreversible damage being done. I trust in God to have a plan for me, and for myself to work things out because I refuse to give up what I love. And I hope and pray for everyone in the same boat to continue holding that fire and not accept what's going on. To federal workers, STEM students and careers, women, people of color, Muslims and religions being dehumanized, anyone and everyone with a heart, you are important. Your work here in earth is important and we will not let hate win.

What mainstream media uses to show the different kinds of smart is really stupid. Chess is used to show when two people are equally clever and creative. Math is used to show when someone is a human computer and calculator. And like. Real life its literally the opposite.

Chess is 80% solved. Higher levels of chess mostly consists of memorizing computer lines, theory and learning to calculate. Mindgames doesnt exist. There are no bluffs. Theres just good moves and bad moves.

Math is stupidly creative. What do you MEAN somebody proved mathematically no system of math can ever prove everything???? What do you MEAN we can compare sizes of different infinities???? Stop finding clever loopholes in the universes attempt to keep itself mysterious. I burn you now

My english lit assignment was due today and I had to ask for an extension, I just couldn't do it (sob) I have over 900 words but removing quotes and titles, refs etc, i have 595 words therefore I have 305 words remaining! (900 word limit)

Phew! Just did 1.5 hours on my English lit essay due on Thursday! Just started it too (sob) I've called it "The false dichotomy of Prospero’s path: a character analysis and reading interpretation" Sucks were only allowed 900 words but have to cover 5 topics, thats 180 words each its just not enough!
