You set up camp for the night and wait for the sun to rise to start the next chapter of your big adventure…

The sun rises and you are woken up by an unfamiliar face. You have been sleeping on someones property! You choose not to run away and hear them out. They offer you the chance to build up a town and become mayor in the empty area instead of contacting authorities. You’d do anything to not have your parents involved and agree to the deal without realizing what you are getting yourself into…

as of writing this, the game is at patch version 1.62.69

i made a cheeky post about how modded witches are the best thing in ts4 and some of you asked me which mods i was using. well, here you go (i use most of these, a few are just mods i’ve heard are good but haven’t tested yet)

necessary mods

srslysim’s alchemy overhaul OR kutto’s potion rework - these mods change the the nature of how your sim crafts spells by tuning the cost for spell creation/selling and the required ingredients. I personally use srslysim’s version because I’m a fan of the recipe menu (which also works with the herbalism “potions” listed below) but which one you choose is up to you and how much you think a potion is worth + which features you like more.

r3m’s spellbook injector - similar to other injector mods, any custom spell made with this requires it to be in your mods folder for it to work.

My work in progress is finally out in the open ;) at some point I doubted I could make it work, and I’m very pleased to say I was wrong. It’s not perfect and it will occasionally clip (especially with busty and plumpy sims), but all things considered it’s acceptable. In the end everything came out even better than I expected so I’m reasonably happy :D

Why I left the EA Game Changer Program

Judging by the state of my inbox, a lot of you want to know what happened that lead to me leaving the Game Changer program and I was gonna write up a MASSIVE text post about it — I still might one day — but honestly… I’m not sure if I could be bothered right now. A lot of things happened, big things and small things, public things and things that took place in the Discord and DMs; all of it absolute bullshit but none of it is anything I want to continue to deal with, which is why I left.

This post still turned out to be quite long so I’m gonna put it under a cut, but if you’re expecting ALL the juicy details, this isn’t it. This is a couple of the major issues but it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
