Let's Vent

I enjoy how Kate and Nancy’s relationship has evolved. In the beginning, it was a simple case of cynicism vs idealism. While I’ve never said what Nancy’s politics are, she has always found messing with Kate’s worldview amusing. However, since Kate has become a full-time writer, Nancy has treated her less as a whiner and more as a fellow professional who needs to vent.

One of the things I’d been looking forward to in this story line is to bring together cast members who haven’t interacted in years. This means Michelle is going to get some hugs in!

All Paul wanted to do was to keep a low profile while he enjoyed the snack table. He didn’t expect to find himself between Stefan and Brian. I’ve been looking forward to the “inevitable Brian Problem” starting. Let’s see what happens.

The “relationship” between Brian and Nancy is well known. The example Rowan is talking about happened here. She probably made the connection between Nancy and the rumored “Asian Girl” Brian “knew” in college, but is keeping it to herself. She’s aware enough that she gives Nancy the information necessary to avoid him.

Michelle is looking forward to meeting everybody I confess I the running gag that I’ve had with the band taking full advantage of snack and buffet tables whether they need the free food or not has started to get stale. At this point, I think, it’s mostly a knee-jerk reaction for them.

Well, it looks like we found out what Michelle’s brilliant idea for the evening was, take everyone to attend Kate’s party. Over the years, I found that this strip has slowly but surely broken up into three separate strips. Brian heads out to the reopening party early before things get crowded, forcing Laurel and Rowan to tag along to make sure he doesn’t cause a scene. It’s been a while since Brian’s obsession has come up. This is mainly because he’s been busy. After all this time, the party celebrating Lysistrata’s reopening has begun. While I’m on Hilda’s side that Kate is worrying too much, you can’t blame her for worrying a little bit. To Kate’s credit, what she should be worrying about hasn’t even occurred to her… yet.

Kate arrives fashionably early at her party. You can tell that Kate’s still a little paranoid when she asks Lisa how things are going when the party hasn’t even started yet. It’s nice of Lisa to humor her.

Thanks to events that I don’t intend to divulge, Blossom isn’t allowed to use certain things to her advantage anymore. This is a shame since the party’s turnout looks as if it’s going to have… possibilities.
