Here they are as a set! As I mentioned, last week I had a dream that I bought Ace Attorney charms that had Maya and Trucy wearing very pretty kimonos. They were little chibi charms, but I wanted to preserve how those little kimonos looked on our wonderful girls!

Thoughts about Kino’s Shizu’s Journey episode ???.

1) No kino. Bad episode. Why has this iteration of Kino’s Journey decided that Kino is not an interesting character?

2) I think that Ti could’ve been a cute, interesting character if they hadn’t tried so damn hard to make her cute. I understand that she’s supposed to be… somewhere between shy and quiet and traumatized, but the writers haven’t made her seem like any of those things. They’ve made her into a doll character. She doesn’t seem like she’s traumatized, she seems like she’s not all her upstairs. Shizu seems more unreasonable than Riku in their sides on “is Ti actually thinking about things”. All it would have taken is a little more grit to her, a little less sweetness in her voice and void in her eyes. Or maybe more void? Either way, it would make Ti’s arbitrary bursts of violence feel less like a broken doll and more like the sign of PTSD that I’m sure it was meant to be. It would make her mini obsession about stepping on her shadow feel like a logical conclusion reached by a hurt child as opposed to the Edgy Loli Game Character line that it comes off as.

3) Radio country was a interesting place that was handled poorly. Also, the country design felt wrong. And Shizu’s parting line was stupid; it felt like he was trying to copy Kino’s parting line from the Colosseum episode and did it badly, but that it was played straight, which just made the whole thing sound even stupider. This episode would have been better if it were a kino country (that’s not true, this country would’ve been handled poorly by this season anyway). When we got 2/3rds of the way through the episode and had already left the radio country, I half expected kino to come riding from the other direction and actually end up blowing up the radio waves tower.

4) I don’t know how they did it, but this version of the anime managed to make Riku not cute.

Goddamnit the production team made bad decisions with this version of the anime. It’s ugly but not in an artfully chosen way, it’s ugly in a generic way. The character designs are bad, most of the countries’ designs are flat and lazy, nothing has any actual impact, with or without the jarring red splashes from episode 1 and the mist episode. There is no sense of time passing. Blerg. I can’t wait until I’m fluent enough to go back to reading the light novels.

Quartet Night Live Evolution 2017

I live in Japan so i got my copy of Quartet Night solo concert live dvd a day faster than release date. And i’m willing to share it, with some conditions:

Promise me NOT TO REUPLOAD IT anywhere ;u; also i don’t mind personal use but please don’t spread the links without going through this post and me ;u; i’ll be deleting the link if i found anyone spreading it without permission (yeah i’m dead serious) ;;

So far i’ve only ripped the concert part (tho i’ll probs, in few days, update it with making and commentary vids) 

Please note that it’s a quick dvd rip instead of blu-ray so the quality isn’t good! (I think it’s watchable tho)

It’s more or less just for people who’re dying to watch it faster (like me) since others would probably upload it with better quality somewhere soon
