just to cut to ross literally in a closet

when ross tries to ‘come out’, he’s stopped by his family —wait!!! (akin to when he used to cross dress and sing as a kid & his parents put a end to it)

while he’s in the closet hundreds of pink sweet and low packets fall on his head

but we never actually SEE him come out of the closet, just a cut to his grandmas funeral, so metaphorically he never left

I just had a really interesting thought about why James likes Helly better than Helena. There’s a lot of things like he wants to break Helly whereas Helena is already broken, he likes that how Helly challenges him and does big acts of rebellion whereas Helena only does small rebellion now, but I also wonder if it’s Helly’s drive. Like she completely changed up the status quo at Lumon in a month, she managed to take over Helena and get her speech out. Before Jame said “There he is” Helly states a mission. Take down the Eagans. I don’t think Helena has drive in the way Jame wants. Think about it every other Eagan even Ambrose who they don’t like has something named after them. At first I was like oh it’s probably because they don’t like Helena so they haven’t given her anything, they haven’t named anything after her. But what if the things that are named after them are the things they created. Like the Myrtle Eagan school, the Gunnel Eagan empathy center. The Jame Eagan wintertide fellowship. What if it wasn’t that Helena wasn’t given anything but instead that Helena didn’t create anything. What if one of the reasons why Jame is frustrated with her is that is that she doesn’t have any drive. Well. Helly does. Tons of it. And maybe he thinks he can manipulate that drive into something he wants.
