tis another day of no writing and this time not even for lack of trying but because of eye strain 🙃 i cant manage to look at any monitor or screen bc they are so dry, also i end up squinting a lot or just looking really mad at my desk lol. my right eye is also twitching so i will take that as a sign that i need to give my eyes a rest and turn in early

no writing for me tonight :( i had to do adult stuff like go to the gym, review and adjust my budget and evaluate some personal finance things. also had to do some prep work for school (im starting a master's program in the fall!) and catch up on laundry so hopefully some words tomorrow! gonna read a chapter before bed and call it as i have an early start and a generally busy day ahead

so I was editing a chapter last night and I got to this really emotional moment/scene between Axtapor and Mariel and almost immediately after i wrote it I was like nah bro go back and read the source material. this is not it. they would not fucking say that lol and it was bugging me for the rest of the night and even this morning when I woke up. it was like the first thing on my mind. and I was so just. stumped? on how to fix it and then in the afternoon we went to see a movie and as we were coming out of the theater the PERFECT fix came to my mind and I was like !!!!! I locked in for an hour solid and got that shit written down so fast and I was so happy with it. anyway, amazing work by me 😌

okay but the way that Lexlar would definitely be one of those high energy dance workout teachers with the little mic taped to the side of his face. he would also lead really intense peloton classes lol. Hartim is definitely one of his little backup dancers doing modified moves for people who have mobility limitations and they're always doing that thing where Lexlar's like 'how are we doing ladies?!' and Hartim responds with very excited over the top cheer lol

today was huge in terms of getting that plot hole cleaned up! i cant remember the last time i acted with such decisiveness while working on this story, it was really nice to remind myself i can still do that. there are just one or two more chapters need some adjusting and finally, all of that will be put to bed. the story is so solid now and so focused, its really given me the confidence boost that i needed to feel like I'm up to the task of making it what it needs to be
