She was certainly not making this easy for him. In fact, she rarely made anything easy for attractive boys like Keith. He was the type of guy that got whatever he wanted by putting that goofy smile on his face, and unfortunately, giving into that sort of thing was not Oakley's thing. No, she'd play around with him for awhile, make him try a little harder.
As their hands met, she mirrored his side smirk before letting go quickly and following him toward the bar, taking a seat beside him. She laughed half-heartedly as he made the comment about keeping up. "Hm, we'll see." She replied back, shrugging her shoulders. He was cute, but she almost doubted his ability to actually keep up with her. She could crush him if she wanted. Maybe that's why he was sticking around. Some guys were into that. Hell, maybe she was, too.
Crossing one leg over the other, Oakley gave the boy a once over just as he did, surprisingly pleased. You would think a goofball would have nothing going for him, but this Keith guy was certainly an exception. Though she had probably already made that decision before, she couldn't help but dwell on the fact. He was different, and God only knew she liked trying new things. "Oh, right, lucky me." She said nonchalantly, making sure he didn't see any eagerness about her. She raised an eyebrow as he brought up the future events, which seemed a bit suggestive. Of course, she wasn't opposed, but she wanted to be the one calling the shots when it came to that. "You're a little sure of yourself aren't you? How do you know you're getting laid tonight? I might just be using you for a body guard and a free drink. What do you think about that, Keith?" She asked rather defensively, though it was an act of course. They both knew exactly what this was leading to.
"Is that so?" She countered, the small smirk remaining on her face as she watched him rub his eye. He was something else, that was for sure. In fact, she wasn’t exactly sure how she felt about him, but the boy had charisma, and she found herself staying way longer...

"Is that so?" She countered, the small smirk remaining on her face as she watched him rub his eye. He was something else, that was for sure. In fact, she wasn't exactly sure how she felt about him, but the boy had charisma, and she found herself staying way longer than originally planned. She'd never admit to it, of course, but she thought maybe his charm had something to do with it. That was something different for her. Boys charming her. Usually she could see right through them. This one, not so much. He seemed genuine...weird...
She tried not to show her amusement once he mentioned his extra style and grace, though failed miserably, looking away to hide the smile that had widened just slightly. "Well, good. You'll probably need it." She answered with a wink once she made eye contact again.
Oakley pursed her lips and raised an eyebrow as she waited for his reason to be around her, and once he spoke, she was almost taken aback. Almost. Not quite. She half expected him to make some vulgar pickup line toward her, but he didn't, which was interesting to say the least. And in fact, he had a point. It wasn't every day some guy did what he had. Maybe spending a little more time with him wouldn't hurt all too bad. She hesitated for a moment, glancing down at the hand reaching out for her. Was he already wanting to hold hands? She chuckled on the inside. New boys... "....It's Oakley." She answered, grabbing his hand and shaking it reluctantly. After a moment, she spoke again in a rather sassy manner. "Well, are you gonna buy me another drink or what? The night might be young, but I like to move fast." So, maybe she was insinuating something, but he'd learn that a bit later.
Oakley had expected to leave the conversation at that, having begun to scope out a new attractive guy to flirt with, but it seemed this one was quickly catching up to her again, causing her to sort of roll her eyes, but smile slightly at his persistence. “When I...

Oakley had expected to leave the conversation at that, having begun to scope out a new attractive guy to flirt with, but it seemed this one was quickly catching up to her again, causing her to sort of roll her eyes, but smile slightly at his persistence. "When I said nice try, I didn't exactly commend you for your efforts. Don't you have a black eye to tend to?" She asked rather sharply, stopping in her tracks to get a good look at him. You know, he wasn't all that bad looking. In fact, if he had successfully executed his heroic venture, she might've been taking him home with her tonight.
Nodding as he agreed with her, she stayed put, stifling a laugh as he talked of his supposed style and grace earlier. "Right, right. But, I think you might've dropped your style and grace over there when you got knocked on your ass." She cracked back, a slight smirk curling one side of her lips upward.
After that comment, she began walking away once again, but of course, there he was, offering to buy her a drink. She laughed once more, finding the whole situation very amusing. Of course, she was used to persistent guys, but usually when she hit them with her signature bitch-like attitude, they gave up. Taking the last sip of her drink, she frowned down at it for a moment, contemplating whether to keep this going, or to cut him loose. Stepping closer to him, she raised an eyebrow. "You just don't give up do you?" She asked, handing him the empty glass after a moment. "Give me one good reason I should waste my time on you and let you buy me another drink."

It wasn’t exactly new for Oakley to get hit on by big scary douchebags like this one here. In fact, it was a regular thing. For some reason, she gave off a certain vibe that said she was into those types and, unfortunately, no matter what sassy insult she threw back at them, they always seemed to stay so fucking persistent.
The brunette was currently leaning against a column amidst the crowd, her eyes half opened as she listened to Beefhead go on and on about how he’d like to treat her that night. Of course, unamused, the girl just kept nodding, occasionally saying “….right…” every now and again, glancing around for any type of distraction or escape. The make had his hand up against the wall while he was talking to her, so there was really no easy way out.
Oakley didn’t really mind all that much. After all, it was rather amusing that someone like this skeezeball actually thought they had a chance with her. Not too far into the one-sided conversation about his naked pinup tattoo, another male had entered the conversation, claiming to be her boyfriend.
Oakley’s eyebrows furrowed as she listened to him, amused by the fact that this boy thought he was playing hero, but her lack of concern was almost heightened once the stranger was sitting on the ground. Her eyes followed the large guy as he walked away before turning back to see Mister Hercules standing up in a surprisingly chipper manner.
She laughed lightly, unsure of what had just happened, but she was almost thankful that it had. Crossing her arms over her chest, the girl examined the handsome male before her, her lips forming a side smirk. “Y’porbably think you’re just hot shit, don’t you? Maybe next time you should, ah…” She stepped forward before continuing, poking him playfully in the chest, “pick someone your own size? Oh, and maybe realize when a girl like myself can handle herself or not. I’ll give you a clue, babe. I can.” She winked at the boy almost flirtatiously before turning on her toes and walking slowly in the opposite direction, turning back again to say in a rather nonchalant, ungrateful tone. “Nice try though...." She continued, grabbing the drink from his hand and taking a quick sip. "Thanks, 'boyfriend'." She finished, chuckling to herself before continuing on her way.

"Ah, I figured. Lorelai always did have a problem with finding out what she wants. But, Jonah, honey, she's not right for you. She's too much of a handful. She would drive you insane. Plus, you really need someone more mature. She hasn't quite gotten there yet. " Grandma Ross smiled, sighing as he drew back from pain from the wash rag. "Aw, don't be a wuss. This shouldn't hurt too bad." Meanwhile, Lorelai was lying in her bed, trying ever so hard to fall back to sleep, but a certain someone who happened to be downstairs would not get out of her mind. After the distant kiss with Jonah, and watching Jack fight for her, she couldn't help but feel those butterflies in her stomach. How was she supposed to sleep with that desire for Jack Parker echoing in her brain? She sighed, tossing over to the other side. There was no way she could sneak down there and not get caught. And he probably wouldn't chance it either, considering the previous occurance. The blonde bit her lip, contemplating whether she should just forget it or suck it up and do what she really wanted. After all, it would have been pretty exciting with the thrill of trying not to get caught, and lord knew she secretly loved te thrill.... After a moment of thinking, Lorelai felt an overwhelming need to see him. He was down there all alone and it wasn't right for her to allow that. Plus, she had to tell him how stupid she was for inviting some other guy to their Christmas tradition. Quietly exiting her room, she tiptoed past the bathroom and down the stairs, making sure to be as silent as she possibly could, and there, at the bottom sat the one person she wanted to see. She tiptoed over, not sure if he was awake or not, whispering as she moved closer. "Jack...?" Tugging on her tank top to do her best to hide her underwear modestly, she eased onto the edge of the couch, trying not to sit on him. "Jack, I couldn't go to sleep without seeing you. I need to tell you something." A shy smile crept onto her lips as she looked into his gorgeous blue eyes, causing her heart to beat faster than it was before. "You were...you were right...You were the only person that should have come home with me. You shouldn't be down here alone, either. And I feel horrible about it. I-I can't stop thinking about how much I want you up there...with, um...me."

The feeling of Jack's fingers lingering over hers made her stomach do backflips, though she tried to hide it quickly as she stepped away. Despite the situation, the hot-headed male seemed to know exactly how to get out of the dog house with her, and oh, did he succeed in doing so. The blonde's eyes never truly left Jack as she made sure the injured professor on the floor was well enough to nix the ambulence ride, sending him little sideways glances that were just noticeable enough for Grandma to get an idea of what was going on. Rossalyn rolled her eyes, chuckling under her breath as she watched Lore making eyes at her ex, clearing her throat as a way to snap the poor girl out of it. She would have let it go if it wasn't for the two men raising chaos without her granddaughter even noticing. "Now, now, you're both actin' like two little boys. Jonah, I understand that my granddaughter can be a little...well, I'm sure she gave you some reason to come to her room tonight, but I just don't find it very appropriate at all that you're trying to get into one of your student's underpants." Lore's mouth fell as her grandmother implied she was a bit loose, crossing her arms over her chest defensively. "Excuse me, I-" "Shh, Lorelai. And Jack, I know good and well you've been sneaking into Lore's room since y'all were in high school. I'm not stupid. But, there is a guest, and you have to respect him whether you want to or not. He deserves to be here because Lorelai did invite him. Now, I think the best thing that needs to happen is you three go back to your sleeping quarters, and you can work this out in the morning. Any more fighting like this and Reagan will be up here, and I know we don't won't that. "But they're hurt, gram..." Lore blurted out, glancing at the badly bruised boys. "Huh...I suppose so...alright, Jack, you seem alright. Go on back downstairs. Lorelai, back to bed. Jonah, you come with me to the guest bathroom. We'll get some good ole neosporin on that cut right there." Lorelai was hesitant of course, wondering if perhaps she should have objected and gone to help anyway, but finally decided to just whisper a "Goodnight...again..." To the both of them before quietly slipping back into her room. Grandma Ross took the professor by the shoulders and led him to the restroom at the end of the hall, Sitting him down on the toilet lid carefully before turning on the water. "And what on earth was going on in that noggin of yours that made you think it was alright to sneak into Lorelai's room? You know, darlin' for someone to be a professor, you're awfully stupid." Gram spoke bluntly, wetting a wash rag and gently patting one of the cuts on his lip. "Haven't you noticed that Lorelai's still stuck on Jack like white on rice?" She asked, laughing slightly. "Now I'm sure you're a great guy, and you're probably a lot more stable than Jack is, but just know you're fighting a losing battle...in more ways than one!" She laughed more heartily, referencing the fight that just went on a few minutes ago.

Lorelai had just begun to settle down into a deep sleep when two voices faintly caught her ear. Of course, being as paranoid (and rather disoriented, too, it seemed) as she usually was, the twenty three year old became alarmed, throwing the covers over her head as if, if someone was to come in and hurt her, they would be incapable because of the floral comforter "protecting" her. She sat there a moment, holding her breath to try to listen to the voices closely, soon realizing how ridiculous she was being. It was Jack and Jonah. Who else could it have been? But why weren't they in bed? And why were they talking outside her door? Before she even had time to get out of her bed to see what was going on, the very familiar sound of a punch being thrown and a loud thud on the hardwood answered those questions for her. Quickly, the blonde made her way across the floor and flung the door open to find the two grown men wrestling on the floor. "Jack, Jonah what are ya-OH!" It seemed the exact moment that Jonah was hitting the now staring Jack was when Lore realized she was standing in front of two men with hardly any clothes on, causing her to quickly shut the door and grab her robe to wrap around her. Once covered, she threw open the door again and exited the room, grabbing the blonde male by the arms, tugging him off the other fellow on the ground. "Jack, get off of him! You'll hurt him! Jonah, please, you're just egging him on. I wouldn't...Jack, ENOUGH." She yelled, which seemed to silence the ruckus for at lease a bit. She moved around to take a look at the blonde male's face, her hand reaching up to gently trace her fingers along his cheek. "Oh, bab, I mean, um...Are you alright? You didn't really see that punch coming did you?" She tried to smile, but it faded quickly after she realized just what had happened. Jack was fine. He was always fine. She should have been worrying about Jonah, who was way worse off than Jack was. She let her hand fall to her side before kneeling down to take a look at the older male, frowning up at Jack for just a brief moment scoldingly. Although, she had to admit, that passionate side of Jack ignited a strange sort of fire within her. It was hot, let's just say that. As Lore was examining the male still on the ground, Lorelai's Grandma came scurrying up the stairs. "Now what in Sam Hill is goin'-Jack Parker, did you finally show what that...oh, well I was really joking but hell, darlin', you really did a number on him." She answered her own question before even finishing it, moving past Jack to help Lorelai get Jonah up off the ground. "Are you alright?" They both asked almost at the exact time, though Lore's was a bit more sincere, for Gram was giving a wink to Jack soon after. "What was going on up here?"

Lore took a deep breath in before standing up, glancing at the both of them. "I mean, I hate it has to be this way, but, I just want it to be a good Christmas. So, let's all try to act normal at dinner..." She reasoned, trying to smile slightly to show some sort of improvement from her anger before. "Oh, which is right now, so come on...let's get this over with."
Dinner was rather uneventful. Somehow, her mother bought the story Jonah told. Grandma seemed too fixated on Jack getting enough to eat, and Jack's mouth was always too full to even say anything stupid or rude. The rest of the night was pretty chill as well, though the young female was almost glad to be able to turn in for the night. "Um...goodnight, Jack...I'll see you in the morning..." She spoke as she walked up the stairs. She felt horrible, seeing him down there, the that two alone upstairs. She didn't want to admit it, but he shouldn't have been alone, and neither should she. Shaking the thoughts from her mind, Lorelai stopped at her door as she watched Jonah walk to his. "Goodnight, Jonah..I really am glad you're here. I'm sorry I got so angry. You were only telling the truth..I guess I should just...yeah, okay, goodnight." She said, feeling super guilty for what had happened before after they had behaved themselves the remainder of the night. Shutting her door behind her, she quickly began changing into her night clothes, a little pair of boy shorts and a little tank top, before hopping into bed. Maybe sleep was all she needed. And maybe by some miracle, Santa would make everything right.

Leaving Grandma Ross doubled over and Reagan fanning herself at the thought of her daughter dating someone ten years her senior, Lorelai led them to a decently sized bedroom at the very end of the hall upstairs. She was shaking from top to bottom. What on earth did Jonah think he was doing? Was this some kind of plot to tell Lorelai that there was more between them than both were letting on? Because if so, giving her mother a heart attack and herself a panic attack was not the way to do it.
Once the three of them were inside the room, Lorelai began pacing the floor, her hands pulling on the hair atop her head. "Dr..Cr...Jonah! Are you-are you seriously insane? I mean, I get it that you don't realize how my mother ticks. Hell, I barely know, but with a little...fucking common sense don't you think you would realize that she doesn't take too kindly to me kissing a bunch of guys, especially if they're my superior? She's going to...you're going to die. She'll kill you. Are you dumb? Are you really-uGH." She rolled her eyes as he apologized, feeling instantly guilty about it after. "That wouldn't have been lying. That would have been just keeping your mouth shut. And we do that a lot around here. It'd just be another skeleton in the closet. No big deal. But now Christmas is ruined and one of you is going to die this weekend and frankly I don't know who it's going to be now. You're really stressing me out and I just really..." She sighed, collapsing on the bed.
Her eyes shot up to glare at Jack standing and smiling in the door frame. "Jack, this is not the time to be cracking jokes. The only thing you should be doing is keeping your-your damn mouth shut. and don't think I won't slap that little smile off your face because I will. You know I will." The truth was, she probably wouldn't. The smile almost made her calm down, actually. Though she'd never tell him that. It'd only give him a big head. "This was a terrible idea...Christmas is ruined..."

There was a deafening silence in the room after Dr. Croft uttered the words "French professor." Reagan's eyebrows sort of knitted together confused, glancing from Lore to Jonah, then back to Lore again. As if she knew something was going down, and her daughter had to be the blame for it. Lorelai's eyes widened, a cough emitting rather loudy from her lips "Um, yeah...He's...well he um. Well we...he didn't have a place to go for the holidays so I just th-" The girl's rambling was cut off by Grandma Ross breaking the ice with a chuckle. "Y'know I thought you were a little old for my grandbaby. Guess a grandma's always right. Hey, Rea, sweetie, it might not be Jack you should be worrying about with that late night bed-shakin'...Maybe we should give this young man the couch." She said, trying the stifle the laughter, though she truly was not hard enough.
Lorelai's face turned a bright shade of crimson, eyes glaring at Jonah. Didn't he understand that he wasn't suppose to bring that part up? "He said so himself that he was just her professor. Surely there's nothing going on between them. Right, Lorelai?" "I, uh..." The blonde paused, looking back and Jonah for any answer. "No, we aren't...we haven't. Yeah, no, haha, of course not." She laughed nervously. "Someone's making her way onto the naughty list with all this lying..." Grandma Ross whispered to Jack. Though probably not quite a whisper, because the other two women gave her a sharp, icy glance in response, which caused the elderly woman to shrug her shoulders and laugh once more. "Jonah, let me show you to your room...now..." Lore spoke sternly, grabbing the male's wrist with force as pulling him with her as they walked upstairs. Rosalyn, alarmed by the whole situation, pushed the blonde boy beside her, saying "I know good and well you're not about to let that girl go up there with that old man alone. Shoo." Followed by a quick pat on his behind.

Lore’s mother, Reagan was standing in the kitchen, slaving away over a batch of some of her famous red velvet cupcakes, when the guests came in, causing her to sort of jump at the sight of them leaning against her precious island. “Jack, what a…pleasure to see you again. Lore still hasn’t cut you loose?” “Now, now, Rea, I raised you a whole lot better than that. We don’t speak to him like he’s some kinda stray dog. He’s just as welcome as anyone else is in this house.” Butted in Gram, who squeezed the hand of the boy comfortingly. “She’s just being a mother. She takes her hate from her divorce and throws it on you.” She continued, patting the back of his hand before going off into the foyer to drag Lorelai in.
Reagan rolled her eyes, almost too annoyed with the situation to even bother with the other man in her kitchen, though she finally recognized him standing there. “And who might you be?” she asked as she wiped the flour from her hands on her apron. “Please tell me a handsome man like yourself is my daughter’s new boyfriend. I’m Reagan, Lore’s momma. Nice to meet you….?” The woman’s eyes glared over at Jack menacingly. For some reason, ever since the two had broken it off in high school, Lore’s mother had resented him greatly.
“You made your bed, now you gotta sleep in it. So, Lorelai, get your little ass in there and act like the host we raised you to be. “ echoed through the house as Lore was pushed into the kitchen by her grandma with a sly smile on her face. “O-oh you’ve met my mother..Great.” Lore said a bit sarcastically. From the look on Jack’s face, the conversation was not going well, and it seemed her mother was already picking favorites. “Jonah, isn’t exactly…he’s just here for Christmas. We’re all just here for Christmas. No reason behind coming here at all. No boyfriends, nothing. Just…just Christmas.” “No use in lying on Christmas, sweetcheeks.” Grandma interrupted once more, nudging Jack in the arm. As Lorelai glared at the gray haired woman, Reagan began once more. “So perhaps Jonah would like to sleep upstairs in the spare bedroom since he is a first time guest?…and Jack…well, you can get the couch.” “Mom is that really necessary, I mean-“ “You mean what?” “….nothing…” Lorelai gave both boys an apologetic look, hating herself even more for dragging them into this, but mores specifically Jack now, for he’d never been made to sleep on the couch, but now? Ugh, what was she thinking?

It wasn’t a new thing for Lorelai Daelune to screw up. In fact, it would be rare if she didn’t, but this particular time was one for the record books. The holidays had always been a time of clouded judgment for the now twenty three year old, it being so full of fantasy and happiness. Perhaps that’s why it didn’t occur to her that bringing two men back home with her for Christmas supper was a disaster waiting to happen. Of course, she truly meant well. After all, Jonah Croft had been someone she wanted to impress and get close to for some time now, especially after they shared a kiss not too long before. And Jack, well…Lore tried not to think about how she felt about the boy just three years her senior. They already went through that whole love thing, and she had been trying her hardest not to fall back into it again. Then again, she was still inviting him to Christmas dinner every year, and if she was being truthful, for some reason, she couldn’t bear the thought of him not being there. It was all very strange, and maybe it would have been better if she had just called off the whole thing, but here she was standing at her doorstep with two men standing behind her.
The blonde took a sharp breath before breathing out a sigh, staring at the doorbell before her. She couldn’t turn back now. She was almost sure her mother would be waiting anxiously by the window waiting for her. She surely had been spotted. Quickly pressing the doorbell, Lore stepped back to wait for whoever to open the door.
It wasn’t long before the door was swinging open and the familiar short, elderly woman was wrapping her arms tightly around her waist. “Gram!” “My sweet grandbaby, oh, am I happy to see you got here safe and sound. And oooooh, is that my favorite young man. Come here, sugar.” Her arms released and Lore turned to see Grandma Ross grabbing onto Jack. Some things never changed, and that gave her a sort of peace. That peace ended soon after when she saw her grandmother notice Jonah, her face changing from happiness to skepticism. “And…who’s this…man…” she asked confused-like. “This is Jonah. He’s um…we met at school.” She quickly explained, knowing good and well saying this was her French professor wouldn’t make the mood any lighter. “O-oh…well…Lorelai Claire Daelune, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about throwing your love around willy nilly. And making poor Ja-“ “That’s enough, gram! Let’s go inside…Come on, guys.” Lorelai interrupted, shuffling the party in with hostile force and closing the door behind them. “The kitchen’s, uh…that way. I just…I need a minute, y’all go ahead.” This was a bad idea. She could already tell.

"Right, um, yes..." She laughed nervously, trying not to say sorry once more for being incredibly nosy. He was obviously having a hard time, and she couldn't imagine being a single parent with a rambunctious eight year old boy. Lorelai sighed deeply, feeling the guilt overwhelm her. The other teachers said this would happen. "I um...no problem. Thank you. It's endearing seeing a father raise a child on his own. You don't see that very often." The blonde smiled at him almost sheepishly, pushing her bangs out of her face just slightly.
Her teeth grazed over her bottom lip as he denied her request, wondering if she should just accept it or convince him to come back. "Well, maybe it wouldn't be all that necessary, but you never know until you try. And, who knows, maybe it won't be as bad as you think. The kids are very sweet. And...and well, I'll be here so you won't be absolutely on your own." So maybe she was flirting a little, but she really couldn't help it. His smile was absolutely entrancing.
The blonde let out another small chuckle as she watched him try to hide his embarrassment, but unfortunately there was no use in the effort. “Oh, don’t worry. You’re not the first dad to do that. In fact, open house was filled with that situation in this room....
