Currently thinking of Sam with his soul back, and Dean is so relieved to have his Sammy back except...

Except for the nagging fear of the wall in Sam's head, keeping his memories separate. The fear of Sam breaking if he remembers hell, the fear of Sam leaving if he remembers being soulless.

And what they did, when Sam didn't have a soul and Dean didn't have self-control.

"I've always wanted you," Soulless had said, all casual and matter-of-fact, and Dean wishes it had taken longer than a week for him to give in, fall into bed with Soulless. Wishes he'd been strong enough to make it a one-time mistake, but it turns out that getting a taste of his deepest desire was addictive and he couldn't stay out of Sam's bed and body once he'd found his way in.

And even knowing that Sam wanted him, probably still wants him now with his soul back where it belongs, knowing that he could reach out and Sam would reach back and it would be better because it's real Sam, all the essential Sammy bits included, but he can't because what if it knocks the wall loose?

What if it knocks the wall loose, destroys Sam's mind because how could it not, even Death said it was dangerous. So he has to bury his addiction, can't ever have Sam again because if he breaks Sam's mind with his stupid, stupid dick... Dean couldn't live with that.

Currently thinking of Sam with his soul back, and he knows that he should feel whole now that he's all one piece again but there's this giant aching hole just behind the wall in his brain and he can't even remember what caused it. And he can't stop scratching at the wall, trying to see the shape of what's missing.
