Finally got my les mis tattoo, after about 10 years and a change of design, location and quote from when I first decided I wanted one! Done by the amazing @whambamtattoos who has done all my other musical ones. The absinthe glass and by extension the green is for Grantaire, and the candle as light, for Enjolras, but obviously with the candlestick nicely references Valjean, and I do love that the two items together almost evoke a sort of religious imagery, which I feel works for les mis. The quote is 'lay down your burden', which Fantine sings in the finale, and is one of my favourites from the musical

So I was thinking about a Les Miz head cannon of mine that I have no idea if anyone in in the world has it to. So my head cannon is that Grantaire and Eponine meet on the Barricade and talked about their issues with their crushes. Grantaire talking about Enjy and Eponine just listening and comforting him and Eponine talking about Marius and R comforting her back. And by that they just became besties for life.
