Graphic Novel, Manga and Doodle Fiction
Literature has a significant role in our society. It is the human way of enjoyment, knowledge dissemination, and cultural preservation. Everyone values it since it maintains memories, feelings, information, way of life, and so on. Literature has changed dramatically throughout time. In this blog, I will discuss three great and well-known literary masterpieces from the twenty-first century, namely Graphic Novel, Manga, and Doodle Fiction.
The first on our list is Graphic Novel. Growing up amidst the advancement of technology, we were immediately introduced to this popular 21st Century Literary Genre. A Graphic Novel is just like a comic book but, without the use of physical paper and ink. In fact, it is a narrative work in a comic book format that encompasses fictional pieces in a variety of genres, as well as nonfiction works and thematically linked short stories. A Graphic Novel incorporates the use of technology and media, as the reader may be required for internet access. Archie Comics, created by John Goldwater and Bob Montana, is an excellent example of this literary genre. Graphic novels are drawn in a particularly Americanized graphic style and must be read from left to right. While there are some structural distinctions between Manga and Graphic Novels, both are in the comic book style. Panels distinguish one scene from the next in both of them.
Let us move on to the domain of Manga, being one of the most popular and relevant literary genres to this day. Manga is a Japanese word for comics, it is a generic term used in the English-speaking world to refer to all comic books and graphic novels published in Japan. Manga is widely known for its artistic and storytelling style. On the other hand, Ameri-manga is a term used to describe manga-style comics published by American artists. Shonen or Boy's Manga includes Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. Manga is read from right to left and uses a highly distinct Japanese art technique to draw the visuals. Manga elements are always, and only, about the Japanese. Culture, people, environment, behavior, and other aspects of Japanese culture are included.
Lastly, we have here Doodle Fiction. Doodle Fiction is a literary presentation wherein the author incorporates doodle writing, drawings, and handwritten graphics in place of the traditional font, like The Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. The drawing, indeed, enhances the story as well as the addition of humorous effects. Doodle fictions use handwritten elements to write their text and drawing. Unlike Manga and Graphic Novels, Doodle Fictions follow a novel or storybook style of narrative. Doodle Fiction combines text and images in a manner similar to how articles are written, although comic book styles do not.
From the pre-colonial period to the contemporary period, literature, indeed, has immensely evolved. All thanks to the rise of technology, literary genres such as Graphic Novel, Manga, and Doodle Fiction exist. What are your favorites among the three? Let me know in the comment section down below. Until the next time that I write, fellas!

to the people who truly love and care for me, i will forever be grateful. thank you for existing and for appreciating my existence. thank you for your support be it in a showy way or just behind my back. oh, how i wish you could have said something sooner so that all misfortunes in my life could have been avoided. but it is what it is. i thank you for everything. you have given me all the time to finally realize that i needed to go now. but just because I'm gone, it doesn't mean i never really cared. i do. and will always do. always know that i am just right here somewhere in the world. wandering like a lost soul. seeing you how you live your lives and feel nostalgic all about it. i wish i can be reincarnated so that i could live life once more. but it's the end for me, and it's time to say goodbye.
