A small grimace had begun to curl at the edge of her lips as she sat on the edge of her towel, a sketchbook in her lap. Though, her hat had shielded her eyes from the sun and basically everything around it, she could still feel the presence of someone approaching. Continuing the half finished sketch, she sighed, and spoke suddenly, “who are you and what do you want?”

“To be frank, I am not the biggest swimmer myself,” Frida’s voice piped up, as she peered over her sunglasses. “Do you mind if I sit with you?”

“I’m actually not a big fan of swimming, so I’ll just watch you from over here.”

“Honestly, what in the hell is with you people and the incessant need to jump off a cliff?”

“Did you say cliff jumping? In that case, I’m coming with you.”

“Does it look like I want to go anywhere near the edge? No. So why are you asking me?”

“How about you jump first, and then I’ll jump in? That way, I’ll make sure you actually do jump off instead of being too scared to do so.”

“Because you need all the UV rays you can get, right? No, thank you. You just took my seat, and all I want is my book back.”

“if you’re just going to stand there and stare, tonto, either leave or join me. pick one quickly you’re blocking my sun.”
