the perpetual joy that pumps through his body should be followed with the flood of shame. but the years of such sights have hardened whatever part of his brain that such feelings come from. shame doesn't exist in jackson's world. through his perspective, the universe holds too many experiences, sights to see. it's a waste of time to hide it or feel guilt.

he steps closer, fueled by curious desire. "i shouldn't have, you're right." the sadistic smile on his face only grows. "but i did. what're you gonna do about it?"

his eyes have seen it all- the cold underbelly of hell, the reaper coming for a life. he's seen a multitude of horrors beyond comprehension. things that nobody should believe in. he's walked through the deepest corners of the underworld, felt the heaviest loneliness known to man.

so he's not surprised to see something he shouldn't. he could pretend to be shocked, let his face stretch in confusion. but that would be lying. instead, the smallest of smiles tugs his lips.
