Max let out the biggest sigh of relief when he knew it was her and he remembered, Wrapping her arms around him , holy shit it felt good to know he was here now âSteve!â she said happily. âI am so happy to see you, you have no idea I thought I was alone here.. but Mike and El are hereâ she said giving him a reassuring smile âWhen did you get here? Iâve been here for a few months, I donât know this town is weird, my first thought when I got here was the upside downâ â she addedÂ
The hug between them was very much needed but Steve still allowed himself to pull back a little back to scan over Maxâs face, âIâm happy to see you too! This is all so crazy, I mean look at you. Youâre all grown up.â It made him feel like he was having a proud dad moment. âIâm glad that you havenât been alone here. I was worried about the same thing. How are El and Mike?â He was secretly thankful that they didnât have to deal with anyone from home who would cause them problems but he also was worried about their other friends. âI actually just got here a couple weeks ago. This place is fucking weird⌠thereâs a bunch of stuff I donât understand at all. Like⌠iPhones. These things are confusing as hell.â He pulled the cellphone he had gotten since he came here out, holding it up for emphasis. âThis place might be worse than the upside down because we have no clue how to deal with it or get back home.â

Elle looked to her arm shrugging â Iâm not really sure , I think so. Some on my legs could be from dancing , iâm a ballerina, but I hardly ever fall enough to make my arms look this wayâ she admitted looking back to him âI need to go get some of that, how would Coffee make me feel better though?â she askedÂ
Five blinked a few times in surprise as he examined the otherâs bruises, âAre you sure someone didnât cause themâŚ?â He realized how intrusive his question must have been and he quickly shook his head. âI think I have some ibuprofen in my backpack.â He shrugged it off and began to rummage through it. âBut as for the coffee⌠coffee makes everything feel better. Plus, caffeine is a natural pain reliever.âÂ

Wednesday had to admit that it brought her pleasure to know that the man was impressed with her. He hadnât told her, but his expression made it clear.  âWould you like to try?â She asked, holding out her bow. Sure, giving a bow to someone with no experience was dangerous, but that was exactly why she wanted to do it.  âOf course I can. It wasnât good or bad, just different. Like the universe didnât care whether you were here or not, it just wanted to give me a warning.â
Ander was a bit surprised when the girl offered the bow out to him, a bit hesitant about the opportunity that was extended. Though he couldnât help himself but take a step toward her. âReally? Do you think you could show me like a proper form? Or at least let me know if I look like an idiot?â He chuckled as he took the bow into hand. âThatâs probably a useful skill to have considering if it were anyone else, they would have most likely accidentally shot me or something.â He teased. He held the bow up as properly as he could, copying the technique he had seen in movies. âI feel kind of badass right now⌠like Robin Hood. Do I look cool?â

Morgan was this close to punching someone in the face, and by someone, she meant the three guys who wouldnât get the hint and leave her alone. Any attempt at getting them to leave was met with catcalling, and it only seemed to encourage them to keep going. She was about to just give up and walk away, but she had a sinking feeling that they would just follow her wherever she went. Suddenly, the feeling of an arm around her made her eyes widen, assuming it was another one of them, but the guyâs words calmed her down a little. Not that she would admit that she appreciated a man stepping in to save the day.  âThanks.â She muttered after the guys left and the arm fell from her shoulders.
Nate took a step back, not wanting to crowd the other after having to step in and scare off his teammates. âItâs no problem. I figured that you could handle yourself on your own, but I still wanted to intervene because I knew itâd make them leave sooner.â He knew how these guys thought, especially considering how persistent they were. Even when girls were clearly uninterested. âIâm still sorry about them. Can I like make it up to you in any way?â He tilted his head to the side. âMaybe like a coffee or something?â It hardly made up for assholes who liked catcalling girls but it was at least worth a try.

Catâs eyes went wide as she got an idea.  âOh, sorry! Here, let me warn you!â She ran back over to the window, climbing back out halfway before turning around to face the man again.  âItâs Cat, Iâm coming in!â She called out, letting out a giggle as she climbed back in.  âTaa-daa!â She giggled again, swinging her arms back and forth as she stood.  âYeah, I did! I used to lift weights as a child, my brother said I needed to keep my strength up in case the martians attacked. So I have really good upper body strength!â
Steve tried his best to keep himself from laughing at how literally the other took him, but appreciated the gesture nonetheless. âThanks for that warning.â It was hard to hide his surprise at her statement about weight-lifting though, easily impressed considering he wasnât exactly the strongest. âIn case martians attack, huh? Thatâs actually probably useful. If they do end up coming to earth then I know to run to team up with you.â He joked. âItâs actually a good thing you decided to drop in even though you almost gave me a heart attack. Itâs pretty cold outside. Do you want some hot cocoa or something?â

â you were watching me . â one of her delicately lined eyebrows lifted questioningly , teasing smile ghosting on her pink lips . she didnât mind , quite the opposite actually , but that didnât mean she couldnât pretend for the fun of it . what else was there left to do in this town after all . â well â are you going to say something ? or at least invite me out for a drink ? â
nateâs gaze was immediately drawn into the other , unable to look away . she was undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous girls that he had ever laid eyes on . but he also hadnât expected for his shameless gawking to be noticed . a small scoff fell from his lips , â you canât blame me. youâre beautiful. plus, i think you like being watched .â he teased . â what do you say ? letâs go out and do something. get a drink or whatever you want . â

Stitch was studying in the common area of school. He sighed and looked up. âBeing a veterinarian is totally going to be worth all this studying. I canât wait to see patients and help them.â
A smile graced Anderâs lips as he approached the other the moment he heard the voiced musing, âYou stuck in a studying rut?â He cocked his head to the side. âFinals are kicking my ass too.â He held onto the straps of his backpack as he leaned over the other slightly. âYou want to take a break with me for a while? I was gonna go get some frozen yogurt.â

â Of Course I end up in a place that I donât know and my spell book doesnât have any spell that works on getting me the hell out of here.â Mal sighed , she tried everything she could to somehow fix this and take her back âhomeâ to the isle where things werenât so clean and cheery.
Elsa perked up the moment she heard the word â spell book â, her interest obviously piqued. âA spellbook? I donât mean to be nosy and I know itâs probably none of my business but does that mean you have some sort of powers?â She wet her lips. âDo you think magic has something to do with all of this?â That seemed like the only plausible explanation at this point but she still wasnât accustomed to dealing with magic that wasnât her own -- or at least not that she could remember.

â fine , you caught me red-handed . â she raised her arms up in a fake surrender , taking in a deep , exaggerated breath . her voice was steady and dauntless , unaffected by the heart palpitations and racing thoughts . dauntless as she was , she was only a human . a human who would like to avoid prison . â but if iâm trespassing then so are you , so donât get your panties in a twist . âÂ
maybe five was naive to think that he wouldnât be caught or run into anyone in his desperate search for answers . so of course , it was in his nature to deflect straightaway . his nose skewed up slightly the moment this all was turned back around on him , â iâm not going to snitch on you if thatâs what youâre afraid of . iâm just stating the obvious here . â his teeth sunk into his bottom lip . â what are you doing here anyway ⌠? are you looking for something in particular ? âÂ

roman couldnât help but laugh. it wouldnât be the first time kendall pretended he didnât know him â though that habit was thought to be left in the past next to their ugly high school phases. âi donât know what kind of coping technique youâre using to deal with everything, but all the power to you. you canât tell me you donât think dad has kidnapped and done some crazy shit to people before, though,â he said, amused. he shrugged off the small amount of hurt that came from his brotherâs words. he wasnât going to let it get to him when he had so much to deal with already with the new surroundings and new people. hell, he didnât even know where his other siblings were just yet. âyeah, yeah â slow-paced and cute. but, iâm only one of those things and thatâs cute. iâm not planning on staying here. are you? like, why would you of all people want to stay here? you can barely enjoy vacation in the bahamas for a week without thinking about work and taking calls,â he questioned. there was definitely something off about the other and it was concerning roman.
as quick as kendall was when it came to thinking on his feet, he didnât exactly know how to process how the other was acting. this couldnât have been some sort of case of mistaken identity when the conversation was dragging on for this long. but, he was fairly positive that he didnât know the other or share any relation to him. the way this man spoke as if he KNEW him made his stomach churn, leaving him with an odd feeling. he remained silent for a few moments before rubbing at his temples, a nervous habit. âthis is my home. iâm not sure what other reason i should have for staying?â he took in a deep breath. âi got fed up with living in the fast lane for so long. i mean, i only have my business to worry about but i can do that anywhere. thatâs one of the many benefits of being in charge.â he pursed his lips as he thought over his next words carefully. âlisten man, you seem like a really cool guy. but, i also donât want to kid you here. i seriously donât know who the fuck you are. no bullshit.â he tried his best to sound as earnest as possible. âiâm sorry.â it seemed like the only thing he could say at this point.

- @wvystarâ - reacted for a starter!
Lawrence âBetelgeuseâ took great pride in his appearance. Yes, his fashion choices were a little extravagant at times (the dark green leather jacket and black and white striped shirt underneath he was wearing today, for example) but they were choices, and choices heâd made. His real pride and joy, however, was his hair. Right now it was black and frosted silver and purple, and it was cool. At least, Lawrence thought it was. In fact, heâd proclaimed it the coolest hair in Browning, at which someone had thrown out another name: Steve Harrington.Â
Determined to have no competition, Lawrence set out to find this âSteveâ and see if his hair was really worth all the buzz. Seeing a man who fit the description walking out of the city hall, Lawrence called him over, âHey fair hair! Come âere! Let me get a look at your mop!âÂ
Steve was a bit caught off guard when he heard someone call out to him, unsure at first if he was the person the man was addressing. But a second glance thrown over his shoulder confirmed that it was indeed directed at him. While the manâs appearance would have definitely gained him some strange looks back in Hawkins, Steve had to admit that he thought he looked pretty cool. Different wasnât something that was normally accepted where he was from. A smile easily formed on his lips as he approached the other.
âYou want to get a good look at Steve âthe hairâ Harrington?â He teased, scrunching his nose up. âIâll warn you, itâs not as soft as it looks.â It was strange, no matter how much product he seemed to use it still appeared soft despite its actual texture. âYour hair is pretty cool too, man. I wish I had the balls to dye my hair.â

âAll Iâm saying is youâre sick you need to stay the fuck inside your house , itâs about that time of year where the germs are everywhere and itâs absolutely gross âEddie said shaking his head , he hated winter time, he hated sick season he kept hand sanitizer and and all types of medicine on him at all times. âHereâ eddie said holding the sanitizer out for the person infront of him âkeep your hands clean before touching anything â he said  putting some on his hands and rubbing togetherÂ
Staying up far too late for his own good had only left Steve with a weakened immune system and no answers about this weird town that he found himself trapped in. Before he knew it, he had somehow caught a cold. Being sick turned him essentially into a big baby who complained constantly, sniffling softly as he listened to the male speak. He reluctantly obliged when the hand sanitizer was offered out to him, rubbing it onto his hands. âHow can I stay inside when I have to go to class? I just have to get through this week and then I can go into hibernation.â Just as he finished speaking he sneezed, making sure to do it into the crook of his arm.Â

â How do I know youâre not going to kill me?
Flash light in hand the small brunette needed to investigate the strange noise. It was moments like this that made her miss Dipper. Her twin would be a nervous wreck, all flaily and sweaty, it would have been hilarious and she would have loved it. But she needed to keep up the investigations until Dipper got back. As she moved around quietly she heard more noise. And turning to the noise she ran into a boy. Holding out her flash light like a weapon âhow do I know youâre not going to kill me?â
@wvystarâ for steve
Steve always had his guard up no matter what after what he had gone through back home. Did he think that he would run into any strange creatures here? Realistically, no. But, that didnât ease up his paranoia. He was on his way back to his apartment when he heard a strange noise. Someone approaching him? He should have had a bat on him but that would have probably earned him a few strange looks. He was surprised the moment he saw a girl not far from him, eyes widening. Though his initial reaction was just a laugh. âDo I look like I could kill someone?â He paused, wetting his lips. âActually⌠donât answer that.â He nervously rubbed his arm. âBut I could ask you the same thing, how do I know you arenât going to kill me? Innocent looking girls could easily get away with murder.â

âI work at Infamous History, the museum over on West Street. The museum is hosting a sci-fi movie marathon next week, thatâs why Iâm wearing⌠this,â Max explained as politely as he could. The truth was, he hated wearing the shirt the museum director had printed. The design of âMac and Me,â clearly a rip off of the slightly better movie, âE.T.â covered the entire front of the shirt Max had been given to wear that day for his shift. If the ridiculous looking alien on his shirt wasnât enough to get people to avoid the event entirely, heâd be surprised.
Steve was trying his best to hold back the temptation to chuckle at the sheer sight of the otherâs ghastly looking shirt. Here he thought he had everyone beat with the worst work uniform at Scoops Ahoy. âI mean⌠knowing that youâre wearing that for work and not for pleasure is a bit reassuring. What the hell is that anyway?â He gestured toward the alien on the otherâs shirt. âI donât think Iâve ever seen that movie. It looks like a knock off of E.T. and that movie practically gave me nightmares.â He paused, realizing he may have overshared. âBut you didnât hear that from me.â

nate raised a shoulder in a half-hearted shrug as he averted his gaze away from the other, âiâm sure that middle-aged women enjoy the view.â his lips pursed into a thin line, almost as if to stop himself from uttering any other smart remarks. âiâm not sure if iâm the right person to be asking about that sort of thing.â

âSo youâre telling meâŚÂ That thereâs a legend about a fat man who delivers presents to all the children in the worldâŚÂ using flying reindeer?â Kristoff raised an eyebrow. Heâd seen some crazy things, after all his soon to be sister in law could summon snow with her hands, but flying reindeer was something he just couldnât fathom.  âThat has got to be the dumbest thing Iâve ever heard.â
A soft giggle escaped Nancy as she lifted her shoulders in a shrug, âI mean⌠itâs not the most logical story but thatâs not the point. Christmas is supposed to be magical, which is why people donât question it too much.â She was accustomed to viewing everything from a rational stand-point but she knew when to make exceptions. âAlthough, now Iâm curious. How have you never heard of Santa? Have you never celebrated Christmas before?â Maybe he just had other traditions or celebrated something different.Â

connorâs brows pinched together as he considered the statement. the last he saw, his appearance didnât signify that he needed to sleep, but he was still someone who didnât sleep much and was in desperate need of it. âam- am i?â he asked, obviously caught off guard by the other. âi know youâre quite talented, nancy, but i didnât know you could also detect when someone needed sleep,â he lightly teased the young detective. âperhaps youâre lacking a case and are in need of exercising your skill on me?â
it wasnât too strange for nancy to be drawn toward law enforcement even now. she found herself hanging around the police station out of habit. it was something that she did even back in river heights, especially since it was a great place to secretly listen in on new tips or leads. a small chuckle fell from nancyâs lips at connorâs reaction, trying her best to hide her amusement. âdonât worry, you donât look disheveled or out of sorts. i just noticed a small error in your report there. a mistake probably caused by sleep deprivation.â she playfully scolded before tapping the folder on the manâs desk. âthis town is enough of a mystery for me as it is but⌠you might be right. my body is always itching for something new.â she leaned up against the otherâs desk. âdo you want to take a break and get some coffee with me? or maybe some herbal tea?âÂ
