eugene's annotations on his bible are so interesting to me because in the script and probably in the show too they are written in the particular verse that fits eugene's feelings and situation at the moment. like him writing in matthew 27:45 where he's literally thinking god has forsaken him and he's surrounded by death everywhere. or matthew 5:45 when it won't stop raining in okinawa, or john 19:30 when they're finally leaving. its details like these that make me love this show so much
