Taking Ender away to see his brothers was something Grey had been thinking about for a while. Ever since he'd learned about the fact that Ender had lost them both in his own timeline, but had such a close connection to them prior made him want to give him that connection back. While the Anders of his timeline hadn't been close with his brothers, actively hostile around them, Grey knew it would be easy enough to orchestrate a meeting thanks to a little help from Rhys.
He was glad the meeting had gone well for the most part - bickering from the twins aside, the son of Artemis hoping that as the time went on over their stay that Ender would have more time to enjoy with his family. But he was still glad for the stolen moments alone.
The beach was calming, just the sound of the ocean, his fingers carding through Ender's hair where his head was resting on Grey's lap as his eyes looked out over the ocean, perfectly accustomed to the darkness, shining with the same feline glimmer of a predator. He looked down when Ender spoke, listening to the words as he shared a little of his previous life.
"I can strum a few chords but not really play, but piano is a different story." Grey replied offering a soft smile. "You used to like it when I played." He said before beginning to hum what he always played.
Location: Somewhere warm and far from camp. Date:These past few weeks since they arrive back from the trial.
The moment they got back to camp from the trial, Grey had whisked them away on an impromptu honeymoon. Somehow even in this timeline his husband knew exactly what he needed...to the point he surprised him with his brothers. Both of them. Seeing Leo in human form brought tears to his eyes but it was seeing his youngest brother alive that pushed him over the edge. Tears running down his cheeks he hugged the youngest Malikov much to Q's confusion before the fight between the twins broke out. One that was dramatic that only a pair of Dionysus twins could put on.
Eventually they simmered down and Ender stole Greyson away to the beach needing just some much needed time with him. Lying on top of a blanket on the sand, Ender held his head in the the son of Artemis' lap as he stared up at the night sky the stars shining bit brighter that night it felt like. "I fell in love with you the first time you played the guitar for me," his baritone voice was just a whisper over the waves but still loud enough he knew his wildling could hear it. "We were in Central Park, probably at what I would consider our first real date. I brought some take out from a place down the block from the zoo you worked at as a picnic of sorts and you had brought your guitar. I had no idea that you knew how to play until that moment but once you did...well I was a fool for waiting over two years to tell you that I was madly in love with you."

"I don't know about that." Grey chuckled, smile easy and relaxed. While the water wasn't his element like it would be for the son of Poseidon, thanks to his own unique abilities it was easy enough for him to explore and enjoy the lake. Even his mighty dragon form was adapted to the water so well while in his dragon skin, Greyson could breathe under the water as if it were air.
"I could always be persuaded to give up my trade secrets." The son of Artemis teased playfully. "Exceeding expectations, I love hanging out and exploring the lake together, no one else who I could do it with as well, but I wouldn't be adverse to doing other things too."
"naw, 's way softer." he grins, a hand splayed across the man's midsection. it was a new experience for hunter, having a friend to explore the depths of the lake with, but it seemed second nature for grey. he really should kick himself for never giving the guy a chance when he was the son of pan.
"i dunno! maybe i'm a little envious." a cool chuckle leaves his lips, glancing over with a soft hum. "what do ya think? have i been measurin' up to your expectations?"

Grey happily let himself get led back inside his own cabin, smiling a little to himself at the feeling of his hands safely clasped in Enders. He was glad to see the other demigod seemed to know his way around, despite knowing the other version of himself hadn't inhabited the Artemis cabin, it made things feel more normal and not like everything was strange and different.
When happily sat on Ender's lap with arms wrapped around him - his favourite place to be - he listened as Ender spoke, revealing a little of the similarities between their two lives. So he'd still been with Adam at the time, Ender stealing his heart in both timelines. "So the other me was a slut?" He joked with a chuckle. "Well we didn't hook up the first time we met, you were a gentleman, but we spent the night flirting rather heavily and you basically fucked me with your words so does that count?" He smirked.
When asked about Adam, Grey paused, head tilted to one side in thought at how to answer it. "He was...intense. The first person I loved or thought I loved, it was a complicated relationship from the beginning. He was charming, so very charming and very good with what to say to make me stay, even after he started getting possessive to the point of violence. He tried to keep me like a caged animal, like I was some pretty rare prize just for him but I was always more wild than he expected, never really tameable." Grey explained, eyes glazing over as he thought back to that time in his life.
"I saw the darker side of London's criminal life at his side, but he spoiled me. I think he really loved me in his own way...but I never regret the choice I made to leave with you. If he'd known what I was, what I can do, I've no doubt he'd want to use that to further his own gains."
As Greyson started to talk, to tell their story, Ender moved with ease. Taking both of his husband's hands in his, he moved them both over to the couch as if this was the very cabin he had spent months in. It was peaceful how similar things were in that aspect, that it meant Ender wouldn't have to learn how to move in this cabin in the middle of the night. Making himself comfortable it was second nature to pull Greyson onto his lap and wrap his arms around him. So he did just that. Holding the boy in his arms he rested his chin on his shoulder and played with their intertwined fingers as he listened and took mental notes on what was the same and what was different between their two timelines. "You were with Adam in my timeline as well. We met at a nightclub we both frequented and wasted no time hooking up. In fact I think we spent several months learning each other's bodies before our names... I did not get your name officially until Adam brought you to see one of my shows on Broadway." There was a small pause as Ender tried to gather his words together before asking, "what was Adam like in this timeline?"

[ snap ] — sender snaps a picture of receiver when they’re not looking
The son of Artemis blinked when a flash suddenly went off, catching him off-guard. Clearing the spots from his vision he caught sight of Leo and offered the other a confused sort of surprised look. "What was that for?" He asked curiously and mildly amused. "I'm not going to end up in some kind of burn book am I? Greyson is a fugly slut do not trust him or something?" He joked with a playful smile, but hey it could happen, although he hoped he hadn't given anyone at camp a reason to feel that way about him.

❝ how is your skin so soft? ❞
Grey chuckled and glanced over at Hunter next to him from where they sat at the shoreline of the lake. It had become somewhat of a regular thing for the two of them to go swimming - just as it had been with Grey and the original Hunter of this timeline. The son of Artemis' skin was still damp from the water, hair a tussled mess of curls.
"Soft? I wouldn't say it's any softer than yours." He laughed with an amused shake of his head. "Why so curious in my skin-care routine anyway?" He teased with a playful nudge of shoulder to shoulder.

He caught that small flinch. While he might not be the sharpest pair of eyes at camp, Greyson knew Ender better than anyone else, he knew his mannerisms, his habits, and while this wasn't Anders, some things were the same. So he made the conscious effort not to use his formal name - but it was the easiest way to differentiate between the two Ender's he knew.
"Well I can certainly answer those questions for you." Grey smiled. He was happy to share their history, if it brought them closer together, kept that spark between them he'd tell every little detail. "We met in London, I'd just moved back after travelling. I was with my previous partner at the time and we happened to attend the same party. Adam and I were sort of fighting and I was deliberately avoiding him to piss him off, we got talking in one of the empty rooms and I'll admit I was instantly smitten, you were just so charming." Grey recounted the events, still able to picture that night with perfect clarity - the way he'd been angry at his fight with Adam, the way he'd been instantly curious when he'd seen Ender for the first time across the room of people, when they had been alone in the quiet, empty room talking about anything and everything, how he'd hoped to see the other again even when he went home with Adam at the end of the night.
The softest of flinches when he heard his formal name fall from his husband's lips. Yes, his other Greyson knew that Anders was his real name but in that timeline it was only Dimitri or his mother who called him that. It was weird hearing this Greyson let the name slip so easily and while it was shocking it also wasn't unwelcoming. It was almost a form of therapy to hear someone say it with love again and not hate or judgement. Shaking it off with a soft tussle of his curls he offered a soft smile before simply saying, "I want to know it all. Everything. I want to know how we met, how we fell in love. Our first fight. All the goods and bad I want to know it all. To hear our story."

"Killer croc? Not something cooler like Kraven the Hunter?" Greyson joked with a chuckle as he happily walked alongside the other godling. He couldn't help but laugh at Hunter's quick dismissal at the idea of swimming around with a crocodile and instead he requested something cuter - well Grey could work with that. "Alright, but just because you asked so nicely." He teased.
At the challenge, Grey didn't hesitate to take off running himself, strides confident across any unruly terrain. Even with the wide grin on his face, there was a glint in the godling of the hunt's eyes, wild and untameable like the nature he commanded. "You're on."
"i reckon you'd be a cool villain'. like killer croc or somethin'." a grin plays at his lips as they grow closer to the lake, the air slightly cooler by the water. a brow raises at the proposition, shaking his head rather quickly. "uh, let's work our way up to that, yeah? maybe somethin' a little cuter."
the shore comes into view, and a devious smirk begins to tug at the corners of his lips, an idea forming into his head. "last one there has to buy dinner!" he exclaims, making a run for it, stripping out of his shirt as he does.

"I'm still glad there wasn't a frat mentality coming here. Not sure if I'd stuck around if there had been." Grey mused thoughtfully. He'd never much liked the vibe of 'bros' growing up. He'd seen one too many kids end up in gangs on the streets of London and while he'd always been able to hold his own, it hadn't stopped some of the kids trying to take advantage just because he was an openly gay kid.
"Hopefully my little family will continue to grow - I've already got plans for an owlbear so long as I can find one, and I don't rightly care what En has to say about it." He laughed. "Of course, Melody's more than welcome to join them for playdates." Grey smiled. He was always so proud of his cubs and how they were growing bigger each day.
When asked how he was doing, Grey shrugged one shoulder as he sipped his wine, considering his answer for a moment. "Fine I guess. I mean, nothing's easy - all the relationships I had are gone, the people I knew along with them...but I guess that means I get the chance to forge new ones right? I just hope you're all cool with me and not just wishing some time wormhole would suddenly swallow me up and spit out that other Greyson." Grey admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.
" It's not really that bad...we don't do anything too extreme and we always back off if the pledge needs it. During my own hazing I had to streak around the frat house...or if I didn't do that, I would have had to clean the kitchen for a week, we always gave them cop outs." Evan for sure didn't force anyone to do anything or to do anything too awful, he was Vice President during his Junior Year, his last year, and was very much on his way to being President, if all of this didn't happen. Still, he could only imagine how it differed in group homes, and he hoped they didn't do anything too awful to Greyson. Hearing that Greyson had a plethora of animals in home and plethora and a half of people in Ender's, the certainly had a more packed full life. "Two leopards, a tiger, a hare and a dire wolf, a lot to take care of," But certainly easily for someone who's parent was involved with animals, " Maybe Taraji, Maisha or Kali would like to play with Melody," given they are all big cats. " How are you doing by the way...with all of this." He did start to realize that Greyson, both Greyson's, had it the worst out of all of them. They lost only one Godling, having to adapt to the new powers and skills, but Greyson lost everyone, having to reconnect with many people, while Evan just had to reconnect with Greyson...and the other campers than weren't Godlings.

"The Ender I knew was closed off about things, but open about others - I'm no stranger to you keeping secrets or cards close to your chest, but I appreciate you wanting to be honest and open with me." Grey smiled softly. The promise alone from Ender to be honest with him was more than Grey could ask and he appreciated it deeply. It was a facet of their relationship he had struggled with, even if he had known much about Ender's criminal past, had been involved with it when they married - they had never been completely open with one another.
"I want to make the same promise, this is a marriage and I'll give as good as I get - always have." He replied, placing his free hand over Ender's on his heart. "You can ask me anything about your life here and I'll answer as much as I'm able - Anders wasn't always so forthcoming with everything going on in his working life, but I knew more than most."
It was like coming home as soon as he felt those hands touch him. No matter what version of Greyson life gave him, there seemed to be one thing that never changed; the love they shared. It was a comforting thought, especially since everything they have been through together. Being able to know that this was the one thing that never changed gave Ender the push to keep going and keep fighting.
"I took to long to tell you how I felt about you and I want to make sure that never happens again. I promise to be open with you about my feelings and my past and anything else that you may need from me. Whatever is mine is yours." When Greyson moved to press the soft kiss to his palm, Ender slowly brings his free hand down to rest over the boy's chest right where his heart was kept. "You do not have to make the same promises, I understand if you do not, but I am making these to you so I can be a better person. A better husband."

Grey nodded as he listened, rather fascinated by what Evan described. He only had classic American movies to compare the experience to, never having attended university himself despite having a dream to go to Oxford like his father at one point. But in the end the call of the wild had been stronger and Grey had gone out on his own travelling the world, working with all manner of wonderful creatures. "Sounds fun, except for the whole hazing thing - that never looked fun in the movies, always kind of mean-spirited. I saw enough of that kind of attitude in group homes." Grey mused.
"Oh right, yeah I have my animals. I've got my leopard cubs, Taraji and Maisha, my tiger cub Kali, Fop the hare I rescued recently after a ghoul ate his family and the newest addition my dire wolf pup Akela that was a gift from my mother." Grey explained his little menagerie of creatures. "Bigger following? Yeah I think he mentioned it was just Todd in your timeline - here he's always had lots of people wrapped around his finger, as is his way." He said, thinking of the followers. When Evan mentioned his own companion Grey offered a smile, especially at the name. "A very pretty name." He said warmly.
" I was and it was very American college movie," Evan admitted, honestly he missed his frat brothers and the frat house, even if it was a mess half the time, " Parties, drinking, hazing, the whole thing, but it was honestly like the camp here...more straight, but we all became a family in the three years I was there." He dropped out to come here, not wanting to pass on his heartsong, wanting a change in his life after Corey left Colorado, he was glad he made that choice in the end. " Like animals...though doesn't Ender have a bigger following now?" He had met only a handful of Ender's last cult, not that there was many to meet, " I just got my first companion, she's asleep out in the garden right now," He looked over to the open archways that went out into the garden, near the back of the cabin was a little alcove that Evan turned into a lion's den. " Her name is Melody." His mother's name, and certainly something a young Evan would probably tell Greyson in foster care.

"Yeah, no point dwelling on ifs and maybes." Greyson agreed with a nod. The hurt and confusion would take time to heal but the son of Artemis was going to look at the situation and try to focus on the positives.
"Oh I don't know about that - there's probably a timeline out there where I'm some kind of evil villain." He joked with a laugh before shaking his head at the offer of some trunks for swimming in. "Nah, all good. I got my own, or I can always swim in one of my wildshapes, unless you're scared to swim around with a crocodile?" Grey teased.
Grey offered a warm smile when he felt the arm wrap around his shoulders, tugging him into a tight side hug. It was comforting to feel that while this might not be the Hunter he knew, he still felt the same, acted the same. Sure they were missing some common memories between them, but they could simply make more.
He followed along easily enough as Hunter led the way, listening with interest as he spoke more about the other Greyson. "Interesting, I wonder what he'd gone through to make him like that." Grey mused thoughtfully. His own life certainly hadn't been easy, filled with tragedy at many turns, but he'd always tried to keep somewhat of a positive outlook on things, and since discovering his divine heritage, he'd tried to use his abilities and the gifts of his mother to protect those he cared about most. The pack survived while the lone wolf starved. It was a saying Grey lived by. "I wonder if our abilities were similar."

Grey listened, a part of him wishing he could offer some words of comfort but he wasn't sure if they'd be entirely appreciated - especially coming from him, the proverbial outsider of the group. "You can hold it against me if you want - I won't be offended if you want to be pissed that I'm here and he's not." He offered.
Of course he didn't want people to be upset that they were stuck with him and not the other Greyson, but their feelings were valid - after all, he was still trying to navigate his own hurt at losing those he'd cared about, the connections he'd treasured.
"I wish I could say something that would help, but I'm not really all that sage, and whatever I might have to say probably wouldn't change how you feel anyway - but if it's any consolation, we were friends. I don't know how any of this time stuff works, but I'd like to be friends again. But I get if you need time or if it won't happen, I'll keep my memories of my Calvin." Grey said with a little smile, the edges almost sad as he touched his fingers to his temple. If all he had was memories of the others, he'd keep them, and fight as hard as he always had alongside these new godlings.
"It's..."
He'd known it was coming. There was only so many time he could slip away from a conversation to avoid it. That one thought that had engraved itself in the back of his head once the high of victory and worth had fallen off.
"It's my fault. All of this. The people you know not being here, the Greyson I know being there. It's on me. I made the decision to change the past knowing that all of this was a possibility. Not this exact scenario but..."
He couldn't look at the other as he spoke, instead turning his attention back to the training dummy.
"I'm still mostly just trying to figure out the guilt. I'm not holding it against you, I swear, just... Brains doing the 'twenty thousand different possibilities' thing."

"That sounds horrible." Greyson chuckled with a shake of his head. He personally couldn't think of anything worse than a pizza with anything other than a tomato based sauce, but to each their own. He picked up his own glass and took a sip of the wine. He didn't have much in the way of knowledge when it came to wine, and had actually stolen the bottle from Ender seeing as more bottles seemed to be appearing these days. But he figured if anyone was going to know about and have good wine, it would be the son of Dionysus himself.
"You were in a frat? Like those things in all the American college movies?" Grey asked curiously. He'd never gone to university himself, despite wanting to. Oxford or Cambridge had been a dream at one point, but he'd never had the grades or the money and truth be told, the wild had called more than books. At the question about companions, Grey tilted his head to one side questioningly. "What do you mean? Like other godlings or?" He asked, not sure what Evan meant.
" I do love a ranch dressing pizza," He admitted, " Something about it just... it's gross, but I love it," Evan chuckled, moving to grab his glass again and take his first sip, " This is really great Grey," He chimed, trying to perk up and not let the awkwardness of the beginning of all this fester. He honestly kinda want that normal for Greyson for him so he didn't have to say goodbye to his timeline's Greyson, another person to say goodbye to. Another sip, " That really sounds dope, There was a guy I lived with in the frat house...Oh, I went to college, joined a frat, all that...but he loved camping and had his cabin out there that all the guys went to in the summers, it was a wild time, but it was really nice, when everyone was hungover and I was the first up, to sit outside on the swing and look out into the woods...to be surrounded by that all the time, sounds amazing." The oven dinged, Evan moved to grab a mitten, opening up the oven and pulling out the pizza, it was a thinner crust, big pepperonis, lots of cheese and a tomato sauce. Grabbing the rotary cutter, he did quick work to split it evenly, taking a small portion. Evan was a growing guy, he had certainly put on a bit of muscle and even height since getting here, and Evan was eating a lot more too, but he didn't want to chow down in front of Greyson, " Any companions staying with you?"

"Okay, well unless you make pizza with some radical sauce or something I don't see why I wouldn't like it." Grey replied. Maybe he'd said too much? But he left it at that - if Evan wanted to know something he could ask, and Grey would answer, at least as best he could. The son of Artemis mostly just didn't want to hear about the other Greyson, afraid that he was the outsider in his own timeline, and that the Greyson that people would prefer had been blipped out of time with the rest of his people, leaving them stuck with him. He was afraid they were all disappointed.
He shook off the sudden clouded thoughts, reminding himself that whatever people might feel, he was here and they all had to deal with that. "I hope so, and like I said you can ask stuff - I'm happy to answer what I can." He said before thinking to his cabin. "It's towards the edge of camp, practically in the woods. Feels pretty much like natures took it over, almost hard to see where the forest ends and the cabin begins. A huge tree basically grows through the middle of it."
" Well, this isn't a New York slice, those are super large and really thin." Evan leaned back against the stone countertop, his pale hands planted into edges of the limestone, listening to Greyson explain his thoughts on this converging of timelines. Evan didn't necessarily follow the same beliefs on this, he wanted to know everything about his Evan, to compare and constant, to see just how he got to a place he never thought he would go. " I do want to get to know you Greyson, always did", if anything, he liked that he got to get to know Greyson all over again. He wanted to ask about Evan, about their relationship, but maybe, for now, not talking about all that is good, " What is your cabin like? I never been to Artemis' cabin before."

"Yeah, it's pretty strange honestly - people who used to throw punches at one another now making out." Grey chuckled with a shake of his head. It would take some time to wrap his mind around all of the changes, especially when it meant the relationships he'd had were now either different or entirely gone. "You haven't changed in that regard, but I didn't know the other you all that well so unfortunately I can't give too much of an insight into how his life might have been different." Grey apologised, he wanted to be helpful to the new godlings but he hadn't been the person at camp in everyone's business.
"A bit of an asshole?" The son of Artemis chuckled with a raised brow. "You're not doing a very good job at upselling yourself with talk like that." He joked playfully. "But thanks, I appreciate it. I do certainly feel out of place in my own camp, but hopefully that will fade."
Robbie nods his head and chuckles as he hears the other man's words. "Can imagine that must be one hell of a trip to go through. Seeing people in relationships that are likely vastly different than ours." Robbie said with a hum and a small smile. "Was this version of myself as much of a handsome devil as I am?" Robbie asked with a cheeky grin as he looked at the other boy.
The son of Tyche nods his head. "Well..." He began, his voice taking on a rare serious note. "Just let me know if you need anything, alright? May be a bit of an asshole, but I don't want anyone here feeling out of place." Robbie said with a shrug of his shoulders and running a hand through his hair.

"It's fine mate, pizza is a pretty universally liked food and I do in fact really like pizza - can't say I've ever had what you'd call a New York slice, but London has your standard pizza dough topped with the usual." Grey replied casually. He wasn't offended by the selection of food, it was more the comparisons to his other self that made the wild godling feel a little uneasy.
"Don't stress over it - I'm just saying, for future reference, you can always just ask me about me. I don't really want to just be compared to the other Greyson all the time, you know?" He tried to explain, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand, trying to form the right words. "Like it wouldn't surprise me if we liked a lot of the same stuff, acted the same way, felt the same way about the same things - I just don't want to be compared to him all the time or to have my own sense of identity just wrapped up in what you might know about him. Get to know me." He smiled. "I won't be comparing you to the Evan I knew, to me - you're a different person and he's well...gone into the fabric of time or whatever as far as well all know so, no point dwelling on him."
" I'm slowly getting things together, been sitting on some gold while my new powers settle in, so about to go do some shopping here soon." He was still a bit nervous to go out and shop, given all that The Son of Tyr has done. Taking his own glass and taking it up to his lips, he stopped when he heard Greyson. " Oh," He put down his glass, " Shit, I'm sorry...I didn't mean to, I just," He had just figured that they would like the same thing, but it was true that this Greyson was, in some ways, vastly different that the old Greyson. " I should have asked, this is all just...What do you like? I don't have much around, but I can make some adjustments." Evan felt like an asshole now.
