Transfer to Vienna

We were on the road by 8am and headed for Vienna. We will stop for lunch and arrive at 4pm for our farewell mass, short walking tour and final dinner. We will have an early morning at the airport.

Our pilgrims have just made the 10-mile trek from Kraków to ‪#‎CampusMisericordiae‬ for tonight's prayer service and tomorrow's Mass with Pope Francis. They'll keep vigil and sleep under the stars with hundreds of thousands of young people from around the world! ‪#‎wyd2016 ‬‪#‎krakow2016‬ ‪#‎wyd‬

DAY4-5: Some sights from our #WYD2016 pilgrims as they explored Krakow and spent time growing in faith and fraternity.

During a break from the business of World Youth Day, Bishop Joseph Strickland of the Diocese of Tyler takes on Joseph Mahmoud of St. Edward's Parish in Athens, Texas, in a push-up contest. Joseph won, but a pretty impressive performance for our 57-year-old bishop!

On Thursday, our pilgrims assisted at Mass with Bishop Strickland and had a little fun while waiting to see Pope Francis.

DAY 3: Yesterday, Bishop Strickland and our pilgrims left the joyful atmosphere of World Youth Day and entered one of the darkest places on Earth. It was a very emotional, but powerful experience for all, and our young people left knowing that the light of Christ Jesus can never be extinguished. ‪#‎wyd2016‬ ‪#‎Krakow2016‬ ‪#‎wyd‬

DAY 3: Wednesday was a day of opposites...the joy of Wadowice, the birthplace of St. John Paul II vs. the darkness of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp.

DAY 2: On July 26, our pilgrims visited the Basilica of the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Kraków, the resting place of St. Faustina Kowalska, as well as the National John Paul II Shrine which houses a relic of the Polish Pope.
