florence bose was born in the late 1920s to atreyee bose, and the olympian god poseidon. at that point in time, atreyee was already married, and told her husband that florence was his child. they were a happy family for a short while, until the secret of florence's parentage was revealed to not only herself, but also to the man she had considered to be her father for the last nine years. her family fell apart, and that same year her mother died of sickness, leaving florence alone and homeless. having heard of the existence of camp half - blood from her mother shortly before she died, the young girl set off to find it. it was a dangerous journey, but one she managed to complete. once there, she threw herself into training and building a new life for herself. it was difficult to make friends, being blunt, confrontational and secretive with her real feelings, but camp half - blood became her home. once world war two started, florence found herself on the same side as her brothers and sisters, together with the children of zeus. she left camp to fight against the children of hades, the sword riptide in hand, being gifted it by chiron before leaving. during her battles, she became known as a stellar strategist and leader. in the midst of war, florence stumbled upon a child of zeus called nathaniel. he'd been raised as a normal human, despite knowing of his parentage. believing everyone had a part to play, florence convinced him to join the war. the two became close and eventually fell in love. they both grew even more important in the war, leading many of the most influential battles. one of these battles proved to be fatal for her. she died by the sword of an undead soldier, letting out her last breath in nathaniel's arms.
