I've been doing some self reflection recently regarding my cookie run art....

Ever since I posted the blackbell comic almost a week ago, I haven't been able too look at it since ;(. While I'm certainly proud of myself for being able to complete such a big undertaking in only a week, It did leave me with that same sense of dread I always feel afterI post every art piece. "This could have been better....I could have done so much better."

While i've never hated this setiment outright (it even providing me with some motivation to keep making more art), but with something as big as that... it really ended up stinging. It wasn't until I was working on some sonic art earlier today and this piece that it finally hit me;

My current crk fanart has felt... superficial. Like I was trying to immitate that crk look instead of reallly focusing on my own strengths as an artist. While the art itself wasn't bad, it wasn't a good reflection of myself and what my art should be to me.

Maybe I'm only feeling this way because of the comic's little fanfair, who knows. But I think moving forward, I want to keep adding myself more and more into my own works. Not constantly switching artsyles to please others or reflect my current interest. While gaining a new way of drawing things isn't necessarily bad, I do feel as if it will hinder my overall feelings towards my personal art in the future.

Uhh, thanks for reading all that. Hope you enjoy the firewind art. They always seem to be the focus of these types of art reflections and rants for me, lol...
