I feel like between the forceful psychiatrization of chronic illness (because it's much easier to just tell physically disabled people with complex conditions that it's All In Our Heads than to actually treat us) and the boom in pop psychiatry, people have stopped looking at the human brain as an actual like... Tangible bodily organ and more as an abstract entity. Like the physiological soul. And imo that's doing so, so much damage.
