Part 3 of complicated (complete chapter)

He continued to stare at her with his face all scrunched up "Bradley do you really believe I'd hurt you?" He softened his face after looking at her face full of hurt he'd seen it when he replied harshly on the tarmac, and when he left her life after finding out she knew about the pulling of his papers. She nodded after he said nothing she simply moved passed him and when she got to the door she turned around and once again ran her hand on her forehead and said "The last thing I'd EVER want is to hurt you of all people" He barley turned his body but half of his face was shown to her and yet he didn't speak, she gave up "I'll see you on the tarmac Lieutenant Bradshaw" She walked out and left him in there alone.

Part 2 of Complicated (there will be pt3)

Olivia looked at him and she snickered causing Yale to give her a glare but she went back to rest while Maverick took up the next group which was Phoenix and BOB and Hangman, she would've wanted to be up there but Maverick could see the exhaustion on her face so she couldn't do anything but listen and stay with the others, she stood behind the radio to listen to everything going on up there with a glass of water in hand, Rooster was well within eyes reach and he eyed her from time to time and she looked up at him and they held the gaze for a while stern faces clearly hating one another but their eyes said so much more they would've stared for longer but the voice of Hangman broke Olivia's attention to the radio.

"Say Phoenix how's about we tell everybody BOB stands for stands for something, other than Robert" Olivia smiled knowing Hangman was going to definitely make some joke. "Dont take the bait, BOB... wanna know why we call him hangman?" "Ohhh wait I got it, Baby on Board" he starts laughing and Olivia only calls him and idiot, coming up very closely Maverick flys past them very fast and causes their Jets to be harshly moved and it caused Hangman to curse and man did that make Olivia laugh. "Greetings aviators, Fights on" Hangman came back on "Alright Phoenix let's take this guy out" Rooster got up from where he was and went in front of the radio "Watch your back Phoenix" Olivia eyed at him but instead went and washed her cup and went to where Payback was. Hangman ordered Phoenix to break right and she did only to leave her on her own path and BOB clearly not knowing why asked "Where's he going?!" "That's why we call him Hangman, he'll always leave you hanging out to dry" "leaving your wing man there's a strategy i haven't seen in a while" she could feel it coming he was going to respond in a stupid way "He called you a man, Phoenix. You gonna take that?" And he did it. "So long as he doesn't call you a man" Olivia laughed and shook her head down. "Talk to me BoB where maverick" as he turned around he responded to Phoenix "Jesus, his nose is already coming around!" In desperation Phoenix told Hangman to get him off of her "for all of you folks at home this is how you burry a fossil" Maverick had enough of Hangman's attitude so he choose to teach him a lesson and got tone lock on Phoenix. "You're out Phoenix" she immediately was pissed "son of a b*" and even without his wingman now Hangman still believed he could outrun maverick "let's go Mav. Let's see what you've got" Maverick accelerated and Hangman continued to maintain himself real close to him admitting that he was good Maverick choose to clime and was directly in the sun. "Shit, Phoenix I can't see him, Phoenix how close am I! Phoenix!?" She replied "I'm dead dickhead" Bob also decided to add a little something "see you in the afterlife Bagman" Olivia smiled and said "BOB has some comeback" Fanboy smiled at her and from where she was she could tell Bradley cracked a small smile, his back was towards her but half of his face was visible. Hangman tried to find him but Maverick came from behind and got tone. The three of them were on the tarmac doing their 200 pushups Phoenix clearly throwing Hangman dirty looks. The last couple groups went up and then the were all swapped around up next was Maverick and ACE with Rooster and Hangman, not the most ideal thing to Olivia but what could she do now. Olivia walked over to the lockers and went to change her shirt she took it off and put on a fresh one, she heard the door open but wasn't bothered by it since she knew that everyone comes and goes, when she closed her locker she found rooster down the little hallway of the row of locker she was in. He just stood there looking at her and she stood there looking at him, he was about to say something but he stopped himself and looked down instead and walked out. Olivia only sighed and put her head against her locker wondering how something that didn't really involve her broke their bond so quickly, Rooster walked back in but this time Olivia didn't look up she didn't think he'd come back. "You know, my career would've been better right now had it not been for you and Maverick" she scoffed and turned to face him "Are you kidding me right now?" He had a different demeanor now he was tense "No I'm not, had you not agreed with him I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SET BACK" Olivia raised scrunched her eyebrows and ran her hand over her forehead clearly getting frustrated. "You think I agreed to having your paper pulled... you think I would purposely want to see something you had a desire to do be PULLED AWAY FROM YOU!".

Chapter 5 “Complicated” (pt1 cause it won’t all fit here)

"Good morning Aviators". "This is one of your captain speaking" Olivia smiled at his introduction up in the air. "Welcome to basic fighter maneuvers" Her and mav moved at the same pace behind the others and then she came onto the comms "As briefed, todays exercise is dogfighting" mav continued "Guns only no missiles" Olivia decided to remind everyone of the hat deck "A reminder that we DO NOT go below the hardeck of 5,000 feet...working as a team you have to shoot us two done, or else" Payback smirked and spoke "Or else what Ma'am?" Maverick said for the both of them "Or we shoot back" and added "if we shoot either one of you down, you both lose" Payback came back onto comms "What say we put some skin in the game" mav countered "What do you have in mind?" "Whoever gets shot down first has to do 200 pushups" Payback starts laughing and so do you, only that you knew he didn't know what he got himself into "Guys" rooster spoke for the first time into the comms and he also knew they were being stupid.

"That's a lot of push-ups" Fanboy being cocky as well said "well uh they don't call it an ex cerise for nothing sir" Mav looked over at ACE (Olivia) and they  both shook their heads laughing "You've got yourselves a deal gentleman, fights on let's tune and burn" and he was off coming up from underneath, ACE stayed back waiting to engage from another angle. Rooster scanned the area but saw no sight of Maverick "Fanboy, you seem him?" Fanboy checks his radar "nothing on radar up ahead, he must be somewhere behind us" in seconds Maverick came in flying between them causing them to turn their planes harshly Olivia laughed at hearing the boys swear at the sudden action. Next she moved under them but came up in front of them moving her plane to one side and made it "Wave" at them before pulling up and going face down to go behind them as they dispersed. Olivia heard mav telling himself not to get fired. "TALLY, TALLY ,TALLY! Mavericks coming in! Break left" Olivia stayed behind but noticed Rooster was near her so she chased him to keep him from going to them. "Payback where's your wingman?!" "Rooster where are you?" "I got your back, I'VE GOT ACE ON MY ASS... I'm coming, hang in there, hang in there!" Olivia remained on top of him trying to get lock on him. "HURRY UP MAN HURRY UP" Maverick was trying to get lock on Payback and Fanboy. Rooster keep trying tog eat closer to help but it was difficult with Olivia closing in behind him, he flew in front of the space between Payback and Maverick, causing Olivia to curse under her breath after he made her lose the potential of locking on him but now she'd work harder. Rooster then called out "Payback break right" "Breaking right" Olivia chuckled at how it got them out of there and Mav commented "Rooster just saved your lives fellas. But it's gonna cost him" Rooster quickly very harshly said "Not this time Old man" with that rooster turned and dove down Maverick following behind, Olivia remained up and took another approach with Payback and Famboy. She noticed how low Rooster and Maverick were getting and so did Payback "Rooster you're too low!" Olivia immediately said "PULL UP YOU'RE HITTING THE HARD DECK!" That snapped him out of his thoughts and his cursed as he pulled up leaving him as an open target to Maverick and he was off to do his first 200 push-ups. ACE and Mav were grounded while their Jets refueled and they both did as well, once grabbing some electrolytes she walked over to hangman who like the others observed Rooster doing his pushups, she shook her head at how much of an idiot he was she also overheard the conversation between Phoenix and the boys "that should be us done there" "but it's not and now you know a little something  about rooster" she walked away and Olivia made us to the window and she rated her hands on the Fran of them and continued to look at rooster when a couple other pilots were mocking him telling him hold down the tarmac till they got back on the ground and they took a picture. Olivia smirked and Jake noticed her face, so he walked up to her. "Whats going on in that messed up head of yours?" He smiled at her looking like he wanted to laugh and she turned her head and smiled "I'm so gonna take those idiots out" he laughed and she walked off heading straight for her jet. She did exactly what she said she took one out at the very beginning of the exercise Maverick taking out the last one talking down Yale and Harvard. Once back on the ground AGAIN she walked passed them as Hondo counted their push-ups she walked up to him and he was leaning against a ladder "it was all fun and games in that selfie wasn't it, DOWN!"

Chapter 4 “soar”:

Following the night before I was able to get up with no problem despite going out and doing some light drinking. I was dressed and making my way downstairs with my backpack heading to the kitchen where I was greeted by the sight of my older brother who was sitting at the island eating his breakfast.

"Morning loser" I walked passed him to the pantry and he gave me a look saying who am I to call him a loser. "You should be the last person to call me that" I laughed as I turned around with a banana and granola in hand and a protein shake choosing to stand and place my bag on the side of the counter and begin eating my breakfast, I looked at my watch and saw I was a bit behind schedule but that would only add towards a dramatic entrance and I mean come on who doesn't like making people just a tad bit pissed off.

"So where are you off to today lie lie" he swallowed the reaming of his juice "going down to the base to do debriefing and some flying to see how everyone works" he looked at me and asked "are you giving the debriefing?" I nodded "given I'm a Lieutenant (2) I'm close to getting my promotion for captain then the rest of them, so they want to see how I work and eventually I'll be given a new rank" I smiled at myself knowing how badly I wanted that to happen Peter smiled as well feeling proud of his little sister and how far she came. Knowing that despite all the crap they went through as kids he was glad he was able to push her to be her absolute best in everything. Looking down at her watch Olivia realized she was now even more behind so she chugged her protein shake and tossed her mess away and hugged her brother goodbye and left a note for her grandparents and headed out the door.

Pulling up 20 minutes later, Olivia parked her car in an open spot and grabbed her bag and headed towards the locker room, there she went to her locker and placed her bag and grabbed her flying suit out of it and put it on, she put the rest of her belongings inside and only grabbing her dog tags, Aviators, and workbook. Walking down the hallways Olivia took in the scenery where she saw multiple pictures of former topgun classes, spotting the one where her Grampa was in she smiled and walked over to where the first debriefing was taking place in a hanger, she let an assistant know she was there so when they were ready for her they'd call her. She could here from afar a lady shout.

"ATTENTION ON DECK" everyone rose from their seats and in coming walking in Admiral. Beau "CYCLONE" Simpson and Rear Admiral Solomon "Warlock" abates. Rear Admiral "warlock" began the briefing.

"Morning, welcome to your special training detachment" he let everyone sit down and he began once again. "I'm Admiral Bates neautic Commander, you're all topgun graduates... the elite... the best of the best" Absolutely everyone in the room had smirks on their faces knowing that it was correct but it quickly faded "That was yesterday...the enemy's new generation fighter has leveled the field, details are few but you can be sure we no longer posses the technological advantage" Olivia shook her head knowing how true that was and how they needed to work harder than they already did.

"Success now more than ever, comes down to the man or women in the box" Olivia saw the little interaction Hangman and Phoenix had and man was she smiling after Phoenix gave him the bird.

"Half of you will make the cut, one of you will be named mission leader, the other half will remain in reserve" Then there was an exchange between Hangman and Rooster who were clearly battling for that title.

"Your instructors are TopGun Graduates with real world experience in every mission aspect you will be expected to master" Olivia saw Mav come up next to Olivia nodding and she nodded back he would be introduced and soon after introducing her.

"His exploits are legendary...and he is considered to be one of the finest pilots this programs ever produced" from afar Olivia observed how the gust reactions were to resizing the man they tossed out of the bar last night was one of their instructors.

"What he has to teach you may very well mean the difference between life and death, i give Captain Peter Mitchell call sign "MAVERICK" Mab made his way to the place where Admiral "Warclock" had once been he gets up and smiles at everyone "Good morning" everyone's nodded their head without speaking, one person who looked away was Rooster, God how she wished she didn't know the reason behind it. He proceeded soaking on the manual and eveyone agreed when he said they should know it front and back, when he tossed it in the trash it caused everyone to tense up and the Admirals only knew this was bound to happen.. Olivia stood with a smirk.

"But what the enemy doesn't know... is your limits, I intend to find them, test them... push beyond, today we'll start with what you only think you know with the help of Lieutenant Olivia Kazanksy... call sigh ACE" Olivia walked over book in hand and placed it on the podium nodding at Maverick she began to speak.

"Morning, many of you in this room know me whether it be personally or because you know of my last name" She scanned the room looking at the familiar and unfamiliar faces.

"I like you am a Lieutenant slight difference is I'm ahead one class from you all, in this assignment I like Captain Mitchell will also be training you and pushing you beyond your capabilities... trust that I will not be lenient with ANY of you" Hangman smirked knowing she was a complete badass and so did Phoenix.

"Show us what you're made of" With the everyone was dismissed and the Admirals walked up to her and she greeted them as she was supposed to.

"Very excited to see you at your best ACE" Warlock smiled as he said that to her and for her that meant the world. As for Cyclone he was grumpy per usual "Let's hope you don't wash yourself out" With that he walked off and Warlock gave her a tight lip smiled and they were off to their planes when walking on the tarmac Olivia noticed Maverick and Rooster talking she knew that couldn't mean anything good she noticed how most were staring and she immediately went up to them and stood in the middle a bit to the side of them.

"Let's not do this here... whatever you both want to settle do it in PRIVATE not with an audience" She looked at either of them maverick nodded knowing she was right Bradley looked at her with a glare.

"You both gonna wash me out?" Olivia raised her eyebrows at him, did he really think they'd do that to him on purpose?

"That'll be up to you" she looked down and said

"You really think we'd to that purposely?" He fixed a strap on his helmet and said briefly "We all know what you're capable of" with that he walked away leaving her in awe, he most certainly held a grudge against her, Maverick placed a hand on her shoulder. "He's just Angry if anything it should only be towards me, you don't deserve this Lie" He gave you a small smile and walked over to his plane Olivia going shortly after, she was pissed and needed this time in the air to get rid of it all.. she was going to soar like never before.

Chapter 3 “Communication”:

I look over and there he was. Smiling at me that big smile that I knew so damn well. I got up and sat next to him.

"Well,well,well if it isn't Maverick" he smiled at me and I returned it.

"How are you Olivia?" I laughed and took a sip of my drink and turned to face where the crew was, placing down my drink I hold it still and trace random doodles on the bottle with my finger.

"I'm good, you'd know but we'll you've been gone for a while now". He looked at me with a half smile knowing I was right.

"I know kid, I'm sorry but-

"It's good ya know you have a life and I can't stop that" He put a hand on my shoulder and I turned to face him and finally hugged him. We continued to talk and all of a sudden I saw Bradley walk on over to the piano.

"I'm guessing you saw him already?"

He looked at me and I nodded my head, Maverick knew all about what happened between me and Rooster he knew how Rooster also blames me for not telling him about Mavericks decision on pulling his papers. In all honesty Mav felt guilty for pulling me into it because he knew how much Bradley meant to me.

"Yea we only barley looked at each other but I don't plan on speaking to him unless it's for work" He nodded and spoke to Penny some more, you could hear Rooster begin to play a song, when all of a sudden she heard Penny ring the bell for a second time and you couldn't help but smile knowing what was next for Mav.

"OVERBOARD OVERBOARD!" Chanted everyone in the bar, coming towards her was Hangman, Coyote and Payback ready to take out Mav, Jake winked at her and laughed waving goodbye to Mav. She sighed happily and got up to go towards the pool table, keeping your distance from where Bradley was, she watched as his fingers danced on the keys like they knew it so well a part of her missed those little things about him that he wouldn't appear to know how to do. When she snaps out of her transe she look over to the back door and see Mav looking at him he looked lost in thought it broke her to see him this way, knowing he didn't really have many people left beside Olivia and her family and Rooster who didn't even speak to him. Hangman came back in and saw the girl staring at Rooster.

"Ya know there's a thing called Conversation, it's where you go up to a person and begin him speaking?" She looked over at him and rolled her eyes, choosing to sit on one of the stools near the Pool table, he remains standing in front of her.

"Yea I know what a conversation is big brain"

"Listen take this from me as someone who waited to long to say what needed to be said, don't dwell on it because you're afraid of what will happen just do it and be ready for either outcomes"She looked at him and gave him a surprised scoff and took a sip from her drink.

"Who knew Jake Seresin was such a poet" she gave have him a little laugh and he returned it.

"You say that to anybody and I'll deny it" he patted her shoulder and walked off, she looked at the time and got up to leave and said goodbye to Penny on her way out and when she got to her car there she saw Bradley's truck right next to her car and he was in the back seat grabbing something and when he closed the door he saw Olivia standing there, she gave him a small smile and moved to the side for him to walk past her and when he did his hand brushed hers slightly and then he was gone back inside and she stood there for a second and finally got into her car and drove home. When she was finally home she walked in quietly since it was rather late, when Olivia made it past the kitchen and walked to the stairs and when she made it up there and saw a light on where it was her Grampas office so she walked to it and knocked and opened the door, and there he was sitting reading one of his books, he saw her and placed a marker in his book to give the girl his full attention, she sat down and he typed on his computer.

"What's wrong Ollie?" Looking at his screen and sighed a bit.

"Nothing I just, saw some people today whom I wasn't mentally prepared to see" He looked at her then typed, she looked at it and gave a light laugh and shook her head.

"Of course you knew" he smiled and nodded then typed once again

"I know everything that goes on with my pilots dear"

"I don't know how to feel about it... a part of me is thrilled to see him again but another is just dreading for that one moment to occur" he nodded and got up from his chair to hug me, no words needed to be said or typed all that was needed right now was that hug. she pulled away and smiled at him and said goodnight and headed towards her room to get ready for the first day tomorrow.

Chapter two “old friends”:

Today I had finally landed in San Diego and when I got off the plane and got my bags I was then greeted by my family. The very first person to hug me was my older brother Peter, gosh I missed his hugs they always were so comforting. He pulled away and smiled at me saying.

"Welcome home Lie Lie" I smiled at the nickname he gave me when we were kids.

"It's good to be back" with that he let my grandma come towards me to finally engulf me in her arms, it felt so good to be home. She kissed me on the cheek and led me to the car , leaving my brother to carry all the luggage despite the many protests he gave her. The one person I hadn't seen yet was grampa. Yes I know it's Grandpa but Grampa was the only way I've ever said it since I was a kid. Grandma clearly saw my face and quickly assured me that he was waiting for me at home of course u understood why, not the long ago Grampa was battling throat cancer and through many tough stages he finally got better or so we thought. Once we reached the car we headed on to the house.

Leading into the driveway I saw the big White House I grew up in. The amount of memories I had good and bad came flooding back all I could do was smile. Peter parked the car near the front door and I hopped out of his truck and immediately ran into the house, I spun around in the foyer like a little kid and sighed happily, I could hear laughter above me and when I looked up it was Grampa looking down at me from the upstairs balcony as soon as I saw him I charged up the stairs while doing this I nearly tripped and cause my grandma to yell out for me to be careful but that was the least of my worry's, once I reached him I hugged him like it was the end of the world, he surely returned and he pulled away and smiled at me, he couldn't really communicate as well as he had once but his eyes said it all.

"I missed you to grampa" he placed his hands on either side of my face and gave me a big kiss on my forehead. We both walked down the stairs and he greeted the rest and my brother left my stuff near the stairs which made me laugh and we both headed towards the living room where I immediately laid on the sofa, Peter came to where I was and stood in front of me with a smile on his face one that only had one meaning and one meaning only.

Mischief.

"Oh no, no, no, no" i tried to get away but he picked me up put me over his shoulder and made his way to the backyard, grandma and grampa watching the entire time with huge smiles on their face. Peter opened the door and walked on over to the pool.

"PETER LIAM KAZANKSY PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT" he stopped walking which led me to believe that he was going to actually listen oh how wrong was I.

"Ya know I was considering letting you down but you pulled the full name card so I am definitely not doing that now" He continues to walk and reaches the pool and throws me into, the cold not at all heated pool. He laughed so hard at me that when I came back up I splashed him with water but he continued to laugh, I eventually laughed and made him pull me up, grandma handed me a towel and told me that my room was all ready for me so I could go get changed I nodded and went on up to my room the left side of the upstairs wing. Walking up to the door I saw the sigh outside of my door that has a multi sports poster with my name on it I opened the door and it felt like I was in high school all over again, I went over to my closet and remembered my stuff was downstairs so I had to pick a big sweater from college and shorts I quickly showered to get the pool water off of me and changed and put my hair up in a pony tail. Walking more into my room I went over to my desk where I saw the many pictures of family events like the Kazanksy Christmas party's, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, Grampas Naval Events, and high school events. One in particular caught my eye, it was a picture of me my brother with grampa and two other gentlemen. It so happened to be my Uncle Mav or Maverick who flew with grampa and his "son" Bradley Bradshaw or how I liked to call him Brado. I looked at them and had a sad smile I have fallen out of touch with both well Mav would write or call whenever either one of us wasn't deployed or busy but Bradley he never spoke to me again after I signed up to join the Navy. He was set back four years and I was aware that the pulling of his papers was going to happen, and of course he knew that I knew and he never gave me the chance to explain he only gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked out of my life, grampa would let me know how he was doing in the academy but of course never had much to say on him cause Bradley didn't talk to Mav so there was nothing else to tell grampa to tell me. Snapping out of it I went back downstairs to eat with them all and we just chatted away until it became 4:00 pm and I instantly remembered I was supposed to go and meet the crew I'd be flying with, an old friend from high school Natasha would be on that same crew and man was I stoked to see her. I ran upstairs to get dressed into my brown off-duty  uniform and put my hair into a nice slick back bun and out on my CALLSIGN tag and pins on my collar and walked down to the kitchen where everyone was and they all turned to look at me.

"Where you going sweetheart?"

"I have to go to the Hard Deck for work"

"A bar for work, that's not very responsible Lie Lie" Peter laughed

"Oh shut it Peter, I'll be back later alright I love you guys" I gave all three a kiss on the cheek and walked into the garage and saw a cover on a certain car, the only one covered and I smiled walking over to get the keys I took the cover off and it revealed a 1976 all black Chevy Camaro the car grampa got me for my 16th, while other girls asked for buggies or convertibles all I wanted was a muscle car. I turned it on and revved it up man I missed that sound, I pulled out of the garage and made my way over to the Hard Deck. Once I was there I parked and made my way inside, I was greeted with the smell of beer, peanuts and the sound of music with pilots and backseaters overlapping walking over to a crowed I walk over to a specific someone a tall blond well groomed man m. I immediately smirked and made my way over he was playing pool,  ready to make his next move when I coughed obnoxiously causing him to look up and he greeted me with a smirk standing up he turned to his right and soon smiled at me.

"ACE" he smiled

"Hangman how my favorite asshole doing?"

"Oh he's doing just fine, what are you doing here darling?" I moved toward the wall to lean on and began to explain, when I saw none other the Natasha walking in with two guys behind her.

"What do we have here?" He got up from playing pool with coyote and made his way to her.

"and here I thought we were special, I'm seeing now the invite went out to anyone" Gosh I hated those cocky remarks. I only could roll my eyes at him. Natasha walks up to meet where hangman had now sat on the pool table.

"Fellas this here is bagman"

"Hangman"

"Whatever, your looking at the only Naval aviator on active duty with a confirmed air to air kill" Gosh Nat you just had to feed his ego.

"Stop" they 5 continued to bicker on how they can compare him to a Cold War aviator. Eventually Coyote was curious and asked who the guys were.

"Payback"

"Fanboy"

"Hey coyote who's he?" Everyone turned the gaze over to the quite man sitting against the wall.

"When did you get here?"

"Oh I've been here the whole time" This made hangman quickly make a remark.

"The mans a stealth pilot" God where does he get all these stupid remarks from.

"Weapons systems officer actually" Hangman got up saying.

"With no sense of humor" he hands the stick over to Natasha and he goes to the bar.

"What do they call you?" She asked the quite man with glasses.

"BOB"

"No your callsign"

"Uhm BOB"

"Robert Floyd, you're my back seater,From Lamour?" This made the others laugh and when she saw who they greeted she quickly made her way past them and hugged me.

"OLIVIA YOURE HERE" I smiled at her

"I know I finally get to see you and Hangman continue to bicker back and forth" she rolled her eyes and walked to the side, when Hangman finished getting drinks he put on a song that you knew was definitely his favorite one, and all of a sudden someone walks in and Natasha springs her head up and begins to speak.

"This is how I find out you're state side?" I look over to who she's speaking to and I immediately froze walking more towards Hangman.

"Yea i just thought I'd surprise you" Nat scoffed

and then wacked him in the stomach with the pool stick and winked at me. He groaned and looked up at her.

"I guess i surprised you back"

"It's good to see you" he smiled

"It's good to see you too. Kinda"

While all this went down Hangman saw my face and looked over and saw Bradley, he walked towards me and placed a hand on my shoulder and then proceeded to greet him in the best way he knew.

"Bradshaw, as I live and breath" he saw him and saw where he was coming from and he looked at me I quickly looked away and went get get a much needed drink, his gaze followed me but he continued his conversation with Hangman. I sat down and ordered from a pretty looking lady.

"Tough day?" She smiled at me which I tried to return.

"Yea just saw someone I didn't think I'd see again" She placed a beer in front of me and gave me a sad smile.

"Here it's on the house"

"Oh no i ca-"

"Don't worry it's on him" she winked and I looked over to my left and saw another being I didn't think I'd see again either.

Chapter one “what I’ve been waiting for”:

For the longest of time I've dreamt of being in the sky, thousands of feet of the ground with nothing but the sound of engines thrusting through clouds. It's been something I've never been able to shut up about from the age of 2, this drove my parents crazy, well at least that what grandma told me. See I never go to truly know my parents because my Mother passed after an undiagnosed clot in the brain which later caused her to die on the floor of her bathroom in which I was the one to find her like that, I was only 6, my father stayed at the side of me and my older brother Peter until the age of 9and 12 where he decided he couldn't handle taking care of two young kids and walked away leaving us with our grandparents. I can't really blame him although I find myself hating him every day of my life for it. From then on I've had quite the life, living with my aunts and uncles, my grandparents, it was simply the best time of my life. Being around grandpa didn't help the urge of wanting to fly it just made me want to do it even more, he'd show me his metals, helmet the planes he flew in and what it was like up in the clouds, I remember sitting in his office playing on the ground with my toy plane while he worked and telling him these words.

"I wanna sore in the sky just like you grampa". He turned slowly at me, you'd think he'd smile at how much I wanted to be like him but he had a look of wordy on it instead.

"Ollie". The nickname he gave me from the moment I was born. He turned his chair and got up from it and sat on the couch near where I was.

"I think it'd be best for you to keep your head out of the clouds" I never understood it or why he said that to me but I remember laughing and calling him silly, to this day I don't know why but I know I'll find out sooner or later. This week I return to TOPGUN for a highly classified mission. My name is Olivia "ACE" Kazansky, and I'm a fighter pilot just like many other members of my family, if there something I got from my grampa is that I am one stubborn, cocky son of a gun.

THE FIRST CHAPTER, real short but I think it's a good welcome into the book and you get to know her just a little bit without reveling to to much of what's gonna go on but I truly hope y'all enjoy this as much as I enjoy writing it! HAPPY READING
