A little AceRo that came into mind. I was just doodling and I thought about something cute like this. So here’s this random bird and man he can sing, he and Humming birb Rosa can sing beautifully together, but Ace Phoenix desperately wants to be with her, but his notes they are sour, he feels as if he never would stand a chance.

Then suddenly little rosa birb zips on over to ace and begins to sing, which of course he joins in, leaving random birb in the back like stunned and a bit mad. Sure their voices don’t blend well, but …

Star! "Ace..?" Its been on her mind recently, yet another human mystery and while within her the answer had already been present considering she would only hold hands with him, refusing to sleep anywhere but his bed and only ever paint his freckled features with shy kisses, she still failed to grasp the true definition and emotions behind said actions. "How is friendship different from romance?"

     He supposed that to be of no surprise considering her background. However having little to no experience in the subject to begin with, the male failed to provide of an answer, not right away anyway. He was no expert at the language of love, but with the intimacy and affection displayed between the two since her arrival, he was led to believe she was at the very least aware, and the relationship had already been established without the need to be said.

The hummingbird had been on her way back from the deck, after handing out obligatory chocolates to her brothers and crew-mates when her eyes finally met that of her ex-commander's, the only one she hadn't gifted; she couldn't avoid him all day but she couldn't face him either, not empty handed nor with a gift after rejection. The weakest of smiles was forced to her soft countenance before she managed a greeting, one leaking of both guilt and longing. ❝Happy Valentine's, Ace.. Have a nice one❞

Except, little did he know she’d had a box prepared for him too, one of all his favorite chocolate, spending the most time on to ensure every piece was well designed, only for her to back out of giving it last moment. There was no meaning in doing so, not anymore, no point in bothering him with presents from a girl he already rejected; he didn’t need the guilt and she could certainly be spared the embarrassment and hurt.             

     Have a nice one? The politeness stung more than he was willing to admit. Not that he had been expecting anything more of course. He had no right to feel of any such hurt or disappointment considering it was him who made the decision to break her heart before today. However the sight of the hummingbird spreading her love around the ship in the form of chocolates to everyone excluding himself was bound to depress him in the slightest degree.

     But accompanying his great disappointment came greater relief. So long as he no longer occupied her mind and heart, he would learn to subdue the negative and accept of their now estranged relationship — Or so he struggled to convince himself to do often.

     For her, he mustered a smile. Wounded silver seeing of her force herself to do so as well made it all the more difficult.
