HTGAWM back for the final 6 episodes.

I keep reading about how Annalise is the only character innocent of murder. Not true. Connor and Michaela did not kill anyone either. And have not killed anyone yet.

Connor and Michaela wanted to go to the police after Sam and confess what happened. Remember? They tell Laurel, who tattles to Wes who tells Annalise and it was Annalise who stops them from going to the police and convinces them to stay silent. She does this to protect Wes - because he is the one who killed Sam. It was Wes who involves them all in this mess in the first place because of Rebecca.

Once Connor and Michaela get entangled deeper, there is no way out. Annalise holds Sam’s murder over their heads to get them to help Asher cover up his murder of Sinclair.

Connor has been trying to get out of this mess forever. He tried at the end of season 2 and his boyfriend sabotaged his application to another college. He’s been suicidal and depressed. Had panic attacks. Michaela’s life has fallen apart.

So if Connor and Michaela want to take a deal to leave this mess behind, I really don’t blame them.

except that’s not true??

in season 3 connor was the ONLY one who cared about his client when he had the case. like even laurel, who in season 1 was like the “nice one” who wanted to help people, she literally said “no one cares about your client”, she was more worried being an asshole to wes’ girlfriend lmao.

and season 4 is like, connor’s whole character is him overcoming depression by helping people who were treat unfairly by the sistem. and no one cared about nate lahey senior more than him, literally.

and we saw that too this season with héctor’s case, like yeah connor screwed up, but it was because he cared so much.

and at this point i don’t even know if there’s something more to it about connor not giving himself credit, or the writers and pete just hate him, because he’s literally the best person out of them all, and everyone treats him like he is selfish and incapable of caring for others but that’s all he does. and he doesn’t see it but also other characters ejem oliver ejem also refer to him like that and it’s! not! true!

being a connor stan is so tiring.

Are we ever going to get the 411 on Connor and his unhealthy releationships with older men? Honestly, the fact they keep dropping them in makes me think they have to mean something and yet the lack of time we have left and the fact they’re wasting entire episodes on unrelated subplot makes me think they’re just going to get swept aside YET again.

I mean let’s look at all the mentions we know of…

His physics tutor, Matt Harris

His neighbour Cole

His camp counsellor

The partner at the law firm he interned for Andy Dresher

The 23 year old his mum let in

Not to mention the other older men that he’s hooked up with like Michaela’s neighbour or when he honeytrapped the old guy juror on Humpr back in S1…

Okay those last two were consensual and less questionable, but the bullet points definitely constitute examples of Connor being taken advantage of by people in positions of power. It’d be nice for them to stop dropping them in like fun anecdotes and actually start addressing the fact that he clearly is carrying a lot of baggage that he still hasn’t managed to entirely unpack.

I know they want Connor to be a representation of a young free gay man who’s comfortable and confident in his sexuality, but I’m a bit concerned that being too flippant about it without addressing it is just edging into the irresponsible??

Look, I know the show is called How to Get Away with Murder, and I knoow it's a Shondaland show, so therefore, I know and have known that No One is Safe from death.

However, that does not change the fact that there are only two characters whose emotional and physical wellbeing I care about, and those two characters are:

Annalise Keating

Connor Walsh

And although I haven't started watching the season yet, I already have heard that Annalise is probably dead for real, and it seems like Connor is in the danger zone of being Not Okay, so like...

I am Not Okay with this.

I really really needed those two to be Okay and be HAPPY, goddamn it!

I swear if anything ACTUALLY happens to Connor I'm going to be SO UPSET, y'all.
