Cybercore

To counter the Virustale story, is the Antivirus world designed to locate and eliminate Viruses. This world’s core leaks and gives off a high level of strange energy that keeps viral beings away, it eliminating any viruses that get too close or couldn’t escape in time. This brought forth the birth of these Anti-viral beings who thrive in this world. The head scientist, Gaster--who still lives to this day--has made it his life’s work to contain this strange energy and use it to aid not only his world, but other worlds as well.

This world was once very dark till the Anti-viral beings harnessed the natural energies of this world into illuminating, neon lights which every building and road is decorated with. While most live as civilians, there are those who are active warriors that live in ‘military’ style neighborhoods, each also having a housing unit in the Core itself for on-duty Anti-viruses where their powers are put to use in worldly scans over a vast area of AUs within the Mainframe itself.

This was the start of the Anti-virus program called Cybercore, which Gaster is the Alpha Core Engineer though under King Asgore’s orders. With the discovery of other existing worlds beyond their own, Gaster continued to study and experiment with their world’s odd energies to the point where he created a way to train others to wield this energy as their own. This lead to the creation of Anti-Viral Warriors, though this alone wasn’t enough to Gaster. Through past experiences and loss of followers through Virus attacks, he eventually focused on perhaps making the perfect being made purely of the essence of their world.

This lead to experiments with the most complicated of coding--Life Baring Code.

With enough studies and experiments with this type of code, he created a soul  that was near perfect in his eyes, but it was very unstable with all the required elements being merged into one. To save it, he had to tear the soul into two separate entities. These two souls became Sans and Papyrus: Sans with VERY high attack and agility but VERY low defense and a bit reckless (The Sword) and Papyrus with unmatched defense and is seen as the wall in strength(The Shield) but has rather weak attack and doesn’t like fighting alone. When these two work together, they become an unstoppable force, they ‘become the Knight that wield them.’ 

Though both the Skeleton brothers are made a pure Vaccines, they are presented and ‘hired’ as the usual workers to be kept secret of who and what they really are. That fact was kept silent so nobody felt out-bested and did their absolute best in their work, more so though, that the creation of life through their world’s energies was highly unknown and was a very sensitive subject to mess with. Though with them being purely ‘programs’, they were the first to be given updates to their systems, allowing them to keep up with the ever-evolving viruses that lurk within the Mainframe. 

This AU crosses with Virustale when Cybercore Sans detects a major virus on his Core Cell’s screens, this major alert bringing him to discover a Category 4 viruse--Labeled as a World Eater--which leads to finding V. Ever since, this virus has been finding ways to escape elimination and avoiding strifes with this Vaccine just to work on seeing his home goal to come true.

Virustale

The beginning of this AU started with the typical circle of the Genocide route, though this cycle never ended. This timeline was plagued with the curse of a never ending Geno route with not a single light of mercy to be seen. With Sans being the only one catching on about Timelines, he understood that the kid has done this genocide route before, and has only done so in a never ending cycle. He also noticed that with each death the kid takes from him in the Judgement Hall, they were getting better and better at predicting his moves. Though he didn’t understand completely how other than--they’ve done all this before.

Desperate to end this forsaken cycle, Sans tried to find other ways to stop this kid where they stood. Even killing them before their time but it only made things worse. The child noticed Sans’ differences each reset, how he had different actions and reactions where they figured out that he too had, to a certain degree, a memory of the past genocide play-throughs. Catching on, the kid too started to change their actions as well. Picking who to kill first, who to ‘spare’, only to dust them at a later time. Anything new or different to see Sans’ reactions, pushing his buttons to see what more he’d do.

Sans eventually came to the point where he injects himself with raw DT, figuring if he had just enough to over-come the kid’s, he’d take their control over their world from them. And he was right, to a degree. With him changing up his own actions, patterns of attacks and making choices that wasn’t originally made possible within their world’s coding, the very fabric of their world started to crack, risking shatter if they continued unauthorized game play. It eventually took too much, the coding giving way and causing their world to crash. Everything of their world had collapsed on itself, breaking away into uncountable bits of data.

To Sans’ miracle--or perhaps, misfortune--he had survived his world’s crash, mainly thanks to the DT he bared, he now baring an ever-lasting pixelated gash across his chest from the kid’s final attack of which their world crashed at.Within this void of where his world once existed is where he contracted his viral infection where it slowly ate away at his code and infecting him with the virus he has now become. 

This is where ‘Sans’ has ended and ‘V’’s story has began.

With the DT within him, Sans, now known as V, couldn’t give up anymore. His body wouldn’t let him. He knew now--the genocide cycle had ended, there were no more resets to be had. And with a high amount of DT in him, he had control over the ‘Game’ choices, and with that control, he could start anew, he finally had the chance for a happy ending. It was all down to though, if he would rebuild his world and bring back the monsters that were once his friends. There was no reset, what happens now, was it. This is it.

Discovering his new abilities that his virus infection has given him, he has learned how to jump from AU to AU, taking code not only for his virus infection to feed off of for it to stay at bay, but to also bring back to the void his world once inhabited to rebuild his home.

However, there were many obstacles that would prove his goal to be highly challenging...

Mainly, the Cybercore.

Okay, now since I’ve got myself all caught up with my current Undertale AU works, guess the next thing to do is explain the story for each AU of mine.

I'm starting to focus on making more proper refs for all my characters (thus far), starting with V cause he' my first Undertale character. <3; But yes, 7th ask by phantomfoxygaming, where it seems Gaster himself is the one to answer this one! Yes, I upped by drawing style for him as well--or least, been working on my style with him. This is why PROPER refs are needed! But yes, other than real life events (holidays, work, funeral etc), I'm starting to focus on refs to give my characters a more 'official' design so I can stop using ASKs as up-to-date refs. xD;

For a boss monster to show their persona mask, they have to transform into their Avian form to do that. Can't show the mask without the power that comes with it. I was wanting to give Avian Pap a wiggling brow to go with that smile, but his mask covered it up. xD; So teeth shine it is!

For the Cybercore bros, CyberPap tends to see almost everything made for human entertainment as a kind of history for human kind, luckily CyberSans is there to keep him on the right path about what's real history and what isn't. xD For the Avian bros, AvianPaps likes to do anything that is safe with his brother, seeing he worries a LOT for his brother's health due to him almost losing him back when they were young. Since then their house has an over abundance of pillows that their furniture has almost been completely covered up. Also note that, because they are bird-related, AvianSans is not very fond of anything feline. The Virusbros, they literally have nothing but one another and the support they give one another to hold onto to keep them going. They are the foundation to one another and would have to share a LOT of the same goals in order for them both to gain anything. They would have to have either broken into someone's home in another AU or have stolen a working tv in order to be watching the show. Also, since they have the lack of their own personal belongings, VirusPap will be holding onto those cat ears for a long time, he seeing any gift as a special one. xD Also slight character design changes have been done through character development.

I was planning to have this be part of the future art pile as well, but THIS TOOK ME SO FAWKING LONG. Just completeing it now just makes me want to have it posted just so the satsifaction of it being DONE is fully there. Too many issues came up and MS Paint kept lagging out on my (along with Paint.net) because of just the size of this thing. Even the style of which I've been drawing Virus!Sans in has changed a bit like half way in. Too far in that I said 'to hell with it, I'm not going back to change it now.' ;A; If anyone spots a stray pixel. Don't. fawking. tell. me. It can stay there. ಠ_ಠ I didn't plan to make it so loooong, but once I get an idea of how it may play out (and I am very sorry if any character(s) are OOC in any of my Asks/Answers I don't know your characters that well other than what I can read on them!) I just had to keep going with it. Poor V. Sans has a REALLY hard time making and keeping friends, because his virus nature which lurks within his code wants to just devour anything and everything with a soul. SPECIALLY other Sanses. Cause he's a Sans. ALSO, for a fun fact, since both Virustale Skelebros are as their AU states, they have the capability to leave the Ask boxes!  They like to break the fourth wall this way to move about while everyone else is practically bound by the walls of the box(es). Thought it was a neat trait to give the Virus bros to make them different and more fun to look at across the the Ask replies. :3
